22 July 2008: It's been quite a while since I've updated this, so I'm giving it a shot, trying to do it without all the banners/links. You can, however, see all of the banners for my stories by going to the profile for my LiveJournal community, fics_by_megan:
There are the pretty banners made by the artists here on MNFF, as well as those made by the artists over on TDA, since I also post my stories on HPFF.
As of today, I have 40 stories posted on this account, and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. (Even with starting university in a few months.) Another one-shot, as a matter of fact, is with betas right now.
Lately, I've fallen in love with reading and writing Sirius/Hermione stories, although of course, my current WIPs are still, definitely, being worked on.
Hello. The name is Megan, and the age is 19 (though I'll be 20 quite soon).

-- Adoris Integare (First)
-- Justify (Third)
My Upcoming/Planned Stories:
1) "Untitled": a chaptered fic, it'll be the largest part that tells the overal story that I have planned for Sirius and Hermione. Both "Come Back To Me" and "Watching Him Remember" are parts of this story, and there are hints in both of them about the overall mystery, but it's in this longer fic that everything will be told. [Expected Release: TBA]
2) "Once Upon a Time": a short story, this is another Sirius/Hermione story that's being planned out right now. It's written in response to a challenge given over on the HPFF forums. And of course, it will star Sirius Black and Hermione Granger. [Expected Release: TBA]
3) "Untitled": a short story, this is an idea that's been in my head for ages, though I haven't gone much further with it than dwelling on the basic plot. Will be an Alternate Universe fic, using canon up until around mid-OotP. Mainly starring Sirius Black and Lord Voldemort, with plenty of appearances by the other characters of the books. [Expected Release: TBA]
4) "Caught": a one-shot, it will be the sequel to "Brothers", and will basically pick up right where that one left off. Currently in the planning stages, and starring Sirius Black. [Expected Release: TBA]
Summary: Who would have thought that a sleepless night would spawn an adventure that includes Dark magic, giants, Diagon Alley, secret societies, and ancient prophecies? Certainly not Sirius Black.

Edit #2: Nominated for "Best History/Mystery Story" in the 2008 QSQ Awards
Summary: “One man could be seen still walking along the rough streets, his shoulders hunched and head bowed against the weather, though other than these slight actions, the tall, black-haired man gave no evidence that he felt the storm.”
A storm, a long-locked room, and memories help a young man come to a decision.
Summary: The Dark Lord is losing his patience; he desperately wants the knowledge of the prophecy's exact location, and Lucius Malfoy can no longer put off searching the legendary Department of Mysteries.

Summary: “Laughter gave him comfort; it gave him security. It spread to others, and no one would think you were upset if you laughed. You laugh when you are happy, he thought. That is what everyone thinks ..."

Summary: Two friends sit reminiscing about the past and remembering better times. But the arrival of dire news causes arguments to erupt and choices to be made. Guilt is still felt, the past is remembered, but he won’t let it happen again.
A Missing Moment from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and a submission for the “Spring Challenge: A Different Viewpoint” by megan_lupin of Gryffindor.
Summary: There are dark times on the horizon, and everyone knows it. War and death assaults the Wizarding World everyday, but even in the middle of all the terror, there are light moments; even in a world of hatred, love can be found. Such is the case when two friends admit their feelings for each other, feelings that they have harboured for several years.
Summary: “He would never see James smile again. Sirius knew he would never again hear the voice of his best friend – his brother. Brothers look out for each other. They would never joke about anything again. They would never again have a “little too much” to drink and then have to try and explain it to Lily afterwards. Never again would he have his brother to remember the “good old days” when they both grew too old to do anything. Never again would the Marauders be together . . .”
Sirius had the perfect plan to protect James. But what happens when a flawless idea isn’t so flawless?
Written by megan_lupin of Gryffindor House, this is the final assignment for Professor Talon's DADA: Introduction to Dark/Angst class.
Validator's Pick of the Week (26 May 2007) on HPFF!
Summary: “The outside world did not understand their relationship, she knew. Other people had never understood, and they probably never would understand, the way that the love was shown between the two purebloods. It was there – it was present in the two of them very strongly, and it always had been.”
Narcissa Black and Lucius Malfoy have a relationship that is understood by few, yet the love that exists between them is just as strong as it was when they met. Now, it has been over a year since they have been together, and each of their minds wanders back to better times – times when they had each other.
Summary: Albus Dumbledore was firmly believed by many to be the only wizard that the Dark Lord Voldemort ever feared. What happens shortly after the headmaster’s death? How dark can the Wizarding World possibly get? And is there some hope to be found, or is victory nothing but a distant and unreachable idea?

Summary: “So how could it have gone so wrong? How could such friendships fail?” ~The Sorting Hat
Everyone knows the story of the Four Founders of Hogwarts; the tales of Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin are legendary. But did everything happen in the same way that it has always been told? Did Salazar Slytherin leave strictly because of differences concerning the purity of blood? Did friendships suffer and fail because of arguments concerning the running and ruling of Hogwarts? Or was there another reason? Could the story of a romantic relationship between two of the four friends have been lost to time? And did such an event cause more damage to the school than the beliefs in blood?

Edit: Received an Honorable Mention!
Summary: “How could it have come to this? How did we fall so far?”
It is the day after Christmas, and while the rest of the world is returning to normalcy after the holiday, one man isn’t feeling very cheerful. The holidays have only allowed him to remember the pain and loss of the previous year, though he tries desperately to forget those memories. But as a fresh blanket of snow has covered the ground, he decides to take a walk to clear his mind, and at the same time, he decides to take a chance; he allows himself to just remember.
Summary: "When you have to make a choice between what is right and what is easy . . ." ~Albus Dumbledore
What if, to you, the right choice and the easy choice is the same thing? That is the case for seventeen-year-old Lucius Malfoy. Nearing the end of his final year at Hogwarts, the young, aristocratic Slytherin chooses to embark on a path his father has tread. Sneaking out of the school under the eyes of that Mudblood-loving headmaster, Lucius goes to join Dumbledore's enemy -- the Dark Lord Voldemort.
He believes he has made the right decision in following this path, but will he make it through all of the tests and obstacles that the Dark Lord demands of him? Will he receive the Dark Mark and prove himself worthy of joining the elite group of followers who call themselves the Death Eaters?

Summary: “Lily, did you know / That your baby boy / Would some day conquer evil?”
A short song parody about Lily and her young baby son, Harry Potter.
Written for “Winter Tales Challenge Two: A Christmas Carol – Parody” by megan_lupin of Gryffindor.
Summary: Harry Potter's sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry ended in a tragic event. A headmaster and well-respected wizard was killed by the very man in whom he had placed his trust. This story begins during the latter part of the Boy Who Lived's sixth year, and it will follow Harry, as well as the entire Wizarding World, through Harry's seventh year and the Second War. The Order of the Phoenix struggles to overcome the loss of their leader and the harsh sting of betrayal, while Lord Voldemort has continued to grow in power and strength, and Wizarding Britain is on the brink of collapsing into darkness.
Harry sets out on the path he chose, seeking the four Horcruxes that still remain in the world, and the story will culminate in the final and climactic battle between the forces of good and evil, where death, loss, betrayal, and the overwhelming strength of love and friendship abound. After so many years of terror and war, who will be victorious in the end -- Harry Potter ... or Lord Voldemort?
As of 25 July 2007, this story will NOT be compliant with canon in Book 7: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I will be sticking to my own plot line, and it will only connect with DH if the two happen to overlap.
Summary: “The greatest conflicts are not between two people but between one person and himself.”
What if doing the right thing wasn’t as simple as everyone thought? What if there was no such thing as an easy choice? What if both answers to a dilemma led you down a path that isn’t right or easy? Selena Rosa struggles with making just such a choice, a choice where neither path seems right. What will she ultimately choose?
