Hi! I’m Kayla and I'm a Senior in high school. I've been reading HP since I was about nine, and have been obsessed ever since. I've been writing fan fiction for about three years now, but I like to think I have improved a lot during that time. I tend to write only when I get an inspiration, and sometimes I only end up writing half a story before running dry. But at least it leaves me something to go back and work on, right? Summary: Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny find themselves in a Muggle hotel in Godric's Hollow on the Winter Solstice. During an enthusiastic snowball fight, Harry and Ginny step through a stone circle that transports them seventeen years into the past. This may be the only chance Harry has to spend with his parents, and it may also be what he needs to figure out his relationship with Ginny.

Edit: So, this was originally strictly a Harry/Ginny fic, but Ron and Hermione kept trying to get together too, so I felt like I had to change the category. And there's a bit of Lily/James in there too, though they're already married, and I've also added a bit of Remus/Tonks. Poor Sirius is the only Singleton (though he may manage to get a girl of his own)!
Edit: This story was cannon until after Deathly Hallows came out, so I changed it to Alternate Universe, but it's still pretty close to cannon. Only a few things will end up being different when the story ends.
Edit: I've changed all of the chapter titles to the titles of Christmas songs that I felt reflected the events in the chapters best. Tell me what you think! Does it fit?

Summary: This story is post HBP. The funeral service has ended and students are headed home aboard the Hogwarts Express. Most everyone is still stunned over the events of the last several days. Our trio is no exception. Harry would really prefer to close his eyes and just disappear for a bit. Unfortunately, he doesn't have that luxury. There is so much more for him to do, so much more for him to figure out. Time is running out and things have never seemed so near impossible. Harry has to find and destroy the remaining Horcruxes, and then face his greatest nemesis. Can he protect those he loves? Can he protect himself? Can he meet his ultimate destiny?
While we wait for the release of Deathly Hallows, I thought it would be fun to see how far my own imagination would take me. All of it, of course, has been inspired by Rowling's beloved magical world.
Note: No DH references are included. Chapters 1 - 25 were written, with 1 - 20 posted before the release of DH, and I delayed reading DH until the final chapters were written.

Agh! I nearly cried - talk about ripping out and stomping on the heart of Ron/Hermione shippers! A good piece of writing, and though I understand it's AU I think Ron was a bit out of character in some places. However I do like your interpretation of 'hopelessly' devoted. A wonderful theme & fic to accompany =]

This was my first shot at a story directly from a POV of one of the trio, so I probably messed Ron up a whole lot. But I decided to give it a try and I\'m glad you liked it, however horrible the ending was. Thanks again!
