I am an avid reader of all things HP, and I love every story I read here. My favorite authors are Subversa, Soap, KASK and Crystallic Rain, but I like many others.

Right now I am working on a Hannah Abbot story set during the Trio's (and Hannah's, as she's in their year) fifth year. Hannah's parents have been brutally murdered by Lord Voldemort and his minions, and Hannah joins Dumbledore's Army, eager to learn how to defend herself and fight against this scourge. She's more focused then she's ever been, but she hasn't told anyone else why she's so different this year. Her friends notice the change in her, but she cannot bring herself to tell anyone else about what happened. However, someone enters her life that just might change that. . .

Okay, yeah, that last part got really silly-sounding, but oh, well.

Please read the favorite stories! They're all wonderful!

Things Aren't Always Black and White by padfootsgirl1981

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • 392 Reviews
2009 QSQs: Runner-up: Best Romance - Other Character Story

Add together one ladies' man, one Quidditch player, one werewolf, and one soon-to-be traitor. Then, mix in one imaginative idiot, one fiery redhead, one clever Ravenclaw, and one blonde artist. Stir counterclockwise until trouble occurs, and you are dealing with one of the best-loved group of friends in Hogwarts history. Follow the story of the four Marauders and four equally troublesome girls. See them deal with their first encounters of love, sorrow, heartache… and Death Eaters. How will these future Order members cope with the ordeals that life throws at them? Will love blossom in what was once thought a highly unlikely place? What do you do when the person you care about most in the world doesn’t seem to notice you at all? Will a well-kept secret shatter the foundations of a seven-year friendship? Follow the lives of these friends through their last year at school to the dramatic final battle with Lord Voldemort two decades later.

Warnings are for later chapters, and any sexual situations are very minor.

Chapter Twenty Two: "The Snakes Strike" is in the queue. Excerpt:

Perfume filled his nostrils as Emma walked passed and Rosier’s gaze lingered on her bare, pale legs as the group headed outdoors. “Don’t you just love summer?” he inquired of Regulus, a hungry sneer lighting his face.

“This is ridiculous,” Regulus announced in a furious whisper, “we’re never going to get them alone!”

“Have faith, Black,” commanded Rosier smoothly. “Girls are well renowned for their desire for girly chats. I’m sure they’ll slip off the shackles of their chaperones soon enough.”

Just kidding, dear, I do love you and your story.

Wow. . . really amazing work here! I would never be able to write so many rhyming words! Ack. You make me feel so humble with this amazing emotional story. . . in ballad form! Glark!

Really, though, awesome story line. I mean, the way Voldemort tricks her. . . evil Voldy!. . . and the way she just has to sit and watch everything crumble. . . *sniff*

I have to say since it was a poem/ballad thing, there wasn't as much space for describing words, and there's a lot of potential with this plot for sobs. I'm actually kinda glad. . . because all your stories are so emotionally sapping, I have to take them a few at a time, but this one wasn't so bad, meaning more reviews for you and more awesome stories for me!

Thank you for another amazing experience.

Author's Response: LMAO. I usually am not that good at poetry - It was for a challenge, so I decided why not. It was during the time that I actually had some free time >.< Anyhow, I\'m glad you liked it!

Summary: As the wizarding world rejoices, Harry’s never come so close to just giving up. But as he tries to walk away from Voldemort’s crumpled body, something stops him. Someone. Ginny.

But Harry’s a broken man. He’s in no state to deal with his feelings for Ginny or to give her the relationship she deserves and he tries to tell her that. But Ginny’s got something of her own to tell. Something that might just make Harry face up to his demons and stick around.

However, Harry’s not the only one struggling to cope. Ginny is on the verge of breaking down and fleeing herself, but will anyone notice in time? And what on earth is Ron going to say when he learns of his seventeen year old sister’s situation?

Extract: Truth to be told he didn’t really know how exactly you would classify things between him and Ginny at the moment, but he did know the lie of land. They were having a baby together.

Oh, wow! That is really good!!!! I can barely speak! That was so good!!! (okay, now I'm repeating myself. I need to say something comprehensible.) I really loved the part when Ginny and Harry were sitting in the hospital room (even though it was a while back)I know I keep saying this to people, but this is my favorite story ever! I just can't decide who's is better, so I have all of them tied in my mind. LOVED IT!

*screams* That was a really, freaking annoying cliff-hanger. I hate that. But I shall somehow force myself to wait until you get the next chapter out. I guess/hope I'll last that long. I might not. So if you never hear from me again, you'll know what happened.

But seriously. That was a really good chapter! I like all the mushy stuff with Harry and Charlie. I actually liked that, though in other places stuff that mushy would just be stupid. But it was perfect here. I loved it. (I think you all know now that I really have to stop saying that) But I did. I really, really did. Thanks tons for another great installment in this fascinating story, and I shall be waiting impatiently for the next chapter.

Author's Response: Thanx 4 Ur v. enthousiastic review!

Easier Said Than Done by SpikyBlackQuill

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • 61 Reviews
It started as a rant: I was tired of the re-occurance of cliches in fan-fictions. But then realization dawned on me: Was it possible to write a story entirely in figures of speech?

Combine a new author, a book of cliches, and hours to kill. The result is comical blend of Easter Bunnies, out-of-character moments, and sixty-seven cliches.

I loved this. I loved it with a passion. I just loved Lily's eyes. I have green eyes, too, and I can only hope that someday, someone I love might say that my eyes are 'Slytherin-green eyes'. I will always love your stories. I absolutely LOVE them. I know I read the first one about (correct me if I'm wrong) 20 minutes ago, but they are still totally happiness-giving stories! Nothing can change that. I hope you realise that. Your stories have helped me out of a little hole that I dug myself into, but I won't pour out my stupid little problems on you. You're probably working on another story that is way, way better than anything I could ever dream of. But I would, once again, like to thank you for giving me a little light.

Author's Response: Aw! Thank you for that! I\'m very happy that they helped you. :D A lot of authors don\'t realize how much their stories can impact, I know I\'ve been in the same situation, read a story and feel loads better. Thank you so much for that lovely review. :D

Lovers in the Moonlight by beauty and brains

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • 31 Reviews
Summary: Irene Mahavior had always taken a fancy to the quiet Remus Lupin. She liked the soft spoken boy, as she had grown up with her rather raucous Irish family. Irene couldn’t though, for the life of her, figure out where Remus disappeared to once a month. Not thinking anything of it, Irene decided to take a moonlit stroll out on the grounds one night. This one mere urge would seal her fate forever.

It was a great story, and I hope you do write more, if you haven't already. Irene is a wonderful character, and Remus needs her.

It broke my heart just like Irene's when Remus was all worried about her, and crying because he thought he had ruined her life.

You write really know, did you know that? That was one of the best stories I've ever read.

Author's Response: Thanks so much Katie! I\'ll try to think of new ideas for the couple, as I really enjoyed working with them. If you can think of any, let me know.

And thank you so much for the compliment. It means a lot.

I Am Lily by KASK

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • 17 Reviews
Summary: Lily Evans never really questioned what she was told. She was told that she had everything, that others wanted to be her. She was told that she perfect. She never had a reason not to believe them all -- until it all falls apart.

This is for 'The Spring Challenge: To Laugh or Cry'. I am Kask of Slytherin.

Reviewer: Katie616 Signed
Date: 07/25/07 Title: Chapter 1: I Am Lily

I really like the tone of this story. I like how Lily discovers that she doesn't like being perfect in everybody's eyes. And I can actually sympathize with her, to a point. I used to have shoulder-length ringlets, and everybody exclaimed over me and them, but they grew out and straightened. Now I just have ludicrously thick, wavy hair. But for a time there, I didn't feel RIGHT, like I was pretending to be someone. And I have always felt that I am completely and totally myself around my older brother. We joke and are immature together, and just be ourselves. But when I had that hair, when I was 7 or so, I realized that people liked me because I was cute, and that they just liked to admire my hair. When I was 9, my ringlets were completely gone, and I found that I really was making friends and having a great time. I know I was pretty young, but I still am, so I have a lot to learn, but I think that sort of freeing yourself from who people think you are is totally well, I can't think of any better word, so AWESOME, but that still doesn't seem right. Oh, well.
Sorry for the long-winded story about my little-kid life. But I really did enjoy the story. It meant a lot to me. I think she was really brave to do that, and I like how there's that little part with James, when he says that she isn't perfect, and so he's not sorry that he gave her a slight problem in her perfect little world. I also love how James comes back later after she cuts her hair, and she realizes that she's only really her around him. And how he likes her hair, and that he's the only person who is going to say that. But anyway! Thanks for reading all of this babble. I don't usually write this much about stories, but this one really impacted me, so I felt that since us writers don't get any other reward for writing, the least I could to was to compliment you and tell you that I loved it! Thanks again,

Although I haven't actually posted anything on here yet, I have posted stories on other websites on different subjects.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I love these type of reviews, so feel free to keep talking. :D I always try to do the same thing, show the author that his or her story really did affect you. I\'m very glad that you loved it! I\'m a fan too. :D

Yeah. That part reminded me of that scene on the hill, too. I thought, wow!
I wonder if it really is that obvious, or if you just got lucky. I have to say that I thought that Snape was in love with Lily since, hmmmm... I dunno. Probably the sixth book, but I think I had an inkling before that. Like I knew deep down, but my conscious self didn't want to admit it, or something like that.

This is a really good story so far, and although of course I thought it was sad, i still really like it. I could tell (not to boast or anything) that Hermione was pregnant. You made it pretty obvious, not that that is a bad thing. I can't wait for the next chapter!

Author's Response: Yep, that\'s what I call a little foreshadowing. ;) People who are paying attention are supposed to guess she\'s pregnant. I\'m glad you liked the story even though it made you sad. Thanks so much for the review! I\'ll have the next chapter in queue as soon as I can. *hugs* ~GG

Polly by Soap

Rated: 6th-7th Years • 434 Reviews
Summary: Everything is going swimmingly in the lives of Sirius Black and Hermione Granger. But that doesn't make a very good story, does it?

Everything is going swimmingly UNTIL the Ministry (infiltrated by several former Death Eaters) passes a horrifying new law that threatens their relationship. How will they cope with this new situation? And will Ron ever learn to say the right thing at the right time?

The much-begged-for sequel to "Smells Like Sirius Black".

AHHHHHHH! -screams- I just, positively LOVE IT! The end was good, although in some other stories I would say it was sappy. But I wouldn't read this story if I didn't like it. I don't like giving out criticism, though I will if I need to. But thankfully, here I don't need to.

It really was quite wonderful, and I look forward to reading other works of exquisite art from you. I have read your other ones, and I think you can tell by the reviews -that I'm pretty sure I made- that I like them all. I really adore your style, and I hope you don't let darkness envelope your works.

I have to say, that although I am usually quite a sarcastic and forward person, your stories enthrall me. I just love the carefully limited carefreeness, and the truthfulness which is your trademark, in my opinion.
Keep it up!

Author's Response: Wow, that was a great review! I even love hearing the constructive semi-criticism. I agree wholeheartedly: it was sappy. But it was meant to be a mirror of the last chapter of Smells Like Sirius Black, so that was intentional!

\"Truthfulness which is your trademark\" - I never really thought about it, but I guess that is definitely what I try to incorporate into my stories. Most of them have some sort of basis in my actual life, even though it\'s twisted around to 1) make it wizard-ing, and 2) make it actually worth reading!

Thanks so much!!

Oooh! I can't wait until the next chapter is out! That was a very interesting plot twist, with Malfoy and Sirius. I think we all knew that the Ministry was going to find out about the baby sometime or other, and that something bad was going to happen when they did. I don't want to think about what decision Sirius is going to make. I think he'll try to tell the Order about Voldemort AND try to keep Hermione and the baby out of jail. That's what I think. I can't really decide what I HOPE will happen, because if what I THINK will happen happens, then something ELSE will happen, like Lucius finding out about Sirius telling the Order, and then doing something that gets Hermione put in Azkaban. Well, I will definitely wait impatiently for the next chapter. It might be the longest wait ever. (but probably not)

Author's Response: That was a long review! I love it. Thanks so much for reading!!

That was very...educating. I think that it's good that there are some stories with good morals here. (I'm not insulting any stories; please don't take it the wrong way, anybody!) I think this was a good, strong thing to post, although I don't think I would be such a Gryffindor as Mrs. Weasley. I don't think I could be brave enough to post this, but I'm glad you did.

Author's Response: Thanks, your review means a lot to me; I have to admit I was rather nervous about how this story would be received.

That is hilarious! I think that's probably the thing that most girls are worried about. And I bet Snape was totally mortified. I wish I had been there to see it. Of course, that would mean that I would be Selina, so that wouldn't be that great. But still! I laughed just about until I cried. It was close. Loved it!

Author's Response: Thank you very much for the kind review! Poor Snape. Although both he and Selina pulled through it without too many obvious scars.
