I am an avid reader of all things HP, and I love every story I read here. My favorite authors are Subversa, Soap, KASK and Crystallic Rain, but I like many others.
Right now I am working on a Hannah Abbot story set during the Trio's (and Hannah's, as she's in their year) fifth year. Hannah's parents have been brutally murdered by Lord Voldemort and his minions, and Hannah joins Dumbledore's Army, eager to learn how to defend herself and fight against this scourge. She's more focused then she's ever been, but she hasn't told anyone else why she's so different this year. Her friends notice the change in her, but she cannot bring herself to tell anyone else about what happened. However, someone enters her life that just might change that. . .
Okay, yeah, that last part got really silly-sounding, but oh, well.
Please read the favorite stories! They're all wonderful!

Lily and James: Their Story of Love by Secret Lily
Rated: [Reviews - 3878]
Summary:
"Love is unexplainable. There are no words for it. You can’t express why you feel so. It just happens," James said. "“Don’t you think that if I had the choice I would have chosen to love someone who didn’t hate me in return?”
“No,” Sirius said simply.
“You’re right.” James said, sighing. “I’m so screwed up, Padfoot.”
The drama-filled romantic tale of Lily and James's mysterious but unfortunate tale. It started with love and ended with death. It makes you wonder about the things they tried to live for. Pre-HBP
Okay, a couple things here. The first couple are quips.
1. I know that other reviewers have probably already said this, but YOU CAN'T APPARATE OR PORTKEY ONTO OR OFF OF HOGWARTS GROUNDS. That is very important! It is impossible to do!
2. Likewise, ELECTRONICS DO NOT WORK ON HOGWARTS GROUNDS. An intercom would never work! If you had wanted them to hear an announcement, you could have had McGonagall come in a announce it herself! Jeez!
Sorry 'bout that, but it really had to be said.
3. You have a nice writing style, but I can't lose the feeling that you're rushing everything way too much. Especially that last bit. I mean, seriously! Katy's been so shy and reserved up until this point, and now she wants to make love with Remus!? That's a little hard to believe, even with your little note that she's 'impulsive.' I mean, come on. You can't make her impulsive just like that. It would have been a lot smarter to build up to it; have them get to know each other a little more. After all, they just got together, and now she wants to. . . go at it? Not the best decision, in my humble opinion.
Other than that, this is a fine story. I mean, your writing is a little comma-deficient, and slightly stereotypical, but okay all the same.
I'm sorry if that was a bit fiery, but it really was rather nonsensical.

Caution: Flames aboard.
They sent a OWL to Dumbledore!? When they could have walked to his OFFICE!? Either he was away and you never explained that fact, or he's still in the castle and they're too lazy to walk to him, but not too lazy to walk to the frigid Owlery and send off an owl in the wee hours of the morning!? You are making zero sense! ZERO!
-hem-

The School of Insane Students by Hogwartzgrl479
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 122]

Good! I love it! OMG it's so funny!

Summary:
Oh no! I just came to the end of the story (for now) and I totally freaked out! Aggghhhhhh! I can so totally NOT WAIT until the next chapter! I think I might faint. . . .
--Twenty minutes later--
Well. I think I've gotten over that, but I still can't wait. I really love our stories, and my favorite part in this one is when Harry wakes up after he, you know, saves the world and all that, and later Ginny apologizes for slapping him, and they say: "I'm sorry for dying on you" Or something like that. That was really funny. I can't wait for the next chapter! I hope it comes soon.

You Were Mine by Secret Lily
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 126]
Summary:
As James is ready to propose to his girlfriend of one year, he wonders why a certain red head's face pops into his mind. One-shot.
That is just beautiful. The way you described Lily: she was 'wrapped in a fluffy blanket, her emerald eyes read puffy, her auburn hair tousled. She looked beautiful.' That went straight to my heart, along with the way Lily cried herself to sleep every night. I'm so glad they found each other again. At first, when I read the summary, I thought 'James is going to propose to Lily? Then why is he thinking of a 'red-head?!'' I thought I would meet some OC, which I kinda did in Alexandra, but I was so relieved that he wasn't thinking of someone other than Lily. They were totally meant to be together.
My favorite part, though, is where James thinks that he loves the way she kisses his neck and wishes him luck before a Quidditch game. . . and the way she screams at him. That made me smile a bittersweet smile, because it was funny, but. . . not. Does that make sense? Probably not, but I can't describe it any other way.
Thank you so so so so much for that wonderful one-shot!

Casualties of Heart by Perselus
Rated: Professors [Reviews - 208]
Summary: A passion one can't control, an addictive affair... to what lengths desire and love can take a person?
Well! That WAS quite surprise! Poor Hermione. I guess she was really in love with Severus. . . -sniff-
That was a really well-written story! Of course I had to read through it again after finding out it was actually Ron (or was it? Is it George? That would make a lot of sense, too. . . the whole 'forbidden' thing. . . but I don't think they talk on the street. . . hmmm. . .), and it all is from Ron's point of view! You did such a good job hiding the truth without - for lack of a better word- lying! Congratulations!
Thank you so very much for a wonderful story! Your writing is convincingly emotional, and I really liked the POV.

Behind The Mask by Secret Lily
Rated: [Reviews - 383]
Summary:
In her seventh year at Hogwarts, Lily starts to feel she'll never find love. That is, until a familar looking masked man sweeps her off her ruleabiding feet. Pre-HBP, AU
I don't think that was a weak ending at all, even if you seem to think so. It was a beautiful, touching, meaningful, sometimes funny story, and I think it fulfilled its purpose to the fullest.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! It was a wonderful story, and I think you really got their relationship right. Especially the fact that James was willing to do more than just die for her. He was going to be evil for her. He was willing to kill innocent people for her. (Well, kind of. . . that doesn't sound right. . . ah, well.) I'm really glad that the realized (finally!) that they love each other, and always will.
Again, thank you!

S'mores by Crystallic Rain
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 115]
Summary: The truth about the fifth Gryffindor boy is revealed (Remus ate him), a comforter not-so-spontaneously combusts twice, James smells funny, and Peter likes chicken. And Natalie Blackwood snogs Sirius in a broom closet (yay inbred purebloods).
Oh, my gosh. Every time I read this story, I almost pass out from laughing so hard. And then I go back and read it all the way back through, just to annoy all the people in the room with my uncontrollable laughter.
Thank you so much for brightening up my day!
~Katie
That was the funniest romance thingy I have ever read! I laughed so hard my mom thought I was crying! Oh, jeez! I need to read it over and over and over and over and over and over and over... And over! The way that none of them really makes sense really reminds me of me with my friends! Loved it!!!

Only In My Memory by rita_skeeter
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 13]
Summary: One day you'll love me as I love you. One day you'll think of me as I think of you. One day you'll cry for me as I cry for you. One day you'll want me, but I won't want you.
If only he'd taken his chance, if only he hadn't tried to protect her...would Ginny be in his arms now? A one-shot reflecting on Harry's heartbreaking choice.
That is really sad! I really like it, although it's really sad. I like how you described the bond between Hermione, Ron and Harry. I also extremely like tha last sentance: "Harry pulled himself up and walked away silently. There was no going back now, he couldn't change a thing. She was gone, lost for eternity. The only place in his life that Ginny existed now was his memory, and forever in his heart." That is really, really, good. I have wondered for a long time what would happen between Ginny and Harry, and I think that so far, this is my favorite sad one. (Of course, I would prefer a happy one, but well-written sad ones are way better than fluffy happy ones.) Thank you for a terrific story!
Author's Response: Thank you very much for your review! I\'m glad you liked this despite its sadness, and that you thought it was well-written! Thanks again.

Symphony for Quartet by Tinn Tam
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 271]
Summary:
Winner of the QuickSilver Quills Award, categ. Best Marauder Era.
What did being a Marauder truly mean?... Let's just say that some tunes cannot be played by a lone musician; and those four's lives were certainly not soloists' scores. In class or in detention, in Quidditch matches or full-moon wanderings, fleeing before monsters or confronting dark wizards, they wrote, measure after measure, their own eight-handed piece.Messrs Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs, are proud to present a Symphony for Quartet.
Ah. That was a satisfying chapter! I really liked the way James was nervous about trying out, and then he was just happy to be in the air. That's how I feel when I get ready for a big soccer game. I think you captured that feeling beautifully, and I can't wait for the next chapter. I have enjoyed immensely reading this story, and though I haven't been here for each chapter, and this is my first time reading it, I still really like it, and I will make sure to leave comments whenever possible, because I know that they are very helpful and indeed, important for a writer, being one myself. I just wanted you to know that I thoroughly enjoyed this chapter especially, and other chapters, too. Thanks,
Katie
This story is really coming along well! I have always wondered how James and Sirius became friends. This is quite a good telling of how. I really like how James and Sirius are always making jokes about Pure-Bloods, and how James already plays tons of Quidditch even though he's not even at Hogwarts yet. Awesome. Well, Im off to read more! I'll review more after a while.
Katie
This chapter was absolutely WONDERFUL! It is by far my favorite chapter yet. The way Remus is so scared, I mean, that's exactly how I'd be feeling in his place! You wrote it so perfectly. About how James and Sirius go exploring at night and the way they almost get caught. That is so highly reminiscent of Harry and Ron when they find the mirror of Erised, I mean, it was just totally spellbinding. Wonderful. Once again, I shall call it wonderful.

The Wedding by DayDreamingMuggle
Rated: [Reviews - 253]
Summary: This fic picks up right where HBP leaves off. Will Ron and Hermione FINALLY act on their feelings? Harry regrets his decision to dump Ginny, but will he do anything about it? Bill and Fluer's wedding is a hotbed of chaos and romance.
Agh! Another Cliff-hanger! But the whole story has been really good! Really well-thought-out! I like it a lot, and I can barely wait for the next chapter! Oh! It's so exciting! I was waiting for the wedding, but I also hope that Harry and Ginny get back together. I am relying on the fact that Hermione and Ron are for sure getting back together, because if they didn't, that would kinda ruin the whole story. But it is really good! I hope you'll like my story. It's a Hermione/Ron Harry/Ginny one, too. But it's really fluffy. It has some plot. but mostly just fluff. It's in the queue, but I would be so grateful if you read and commented on it. I need some input, because so far the only one who has read it is my brother, and since he's a boy (no offense boys, but all you girls will know what I am talking about), he really didn't have anything beneficial to the story to add. Sorry I've been so chatty, but that's the way I am. Oh, well.

A Cold Christmas Warmed. by Magical Maeve
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 8]
Summary: Severus Snape has a heart of ice. But a certain female OC has melted it. This is about my OTP of Severus/Maeve. Aww the Christmas lurve. :-) I have no idea why Christmas has driven me to poetry. T'is scary indeed.
That's quite beautiful.
Some parts are rather preposterous, I must say, like the 'There was nothing in him/That could breathe fire' part, but it was quite well-written, and was pretty. It painted quite a realistic picture. You have a wonderful way with words.

Anniversary by Mugglechump
Rated: Professors [Reviews - 154]
Summary: Ginny commemorates the fifth anniversary of her death and finds herself face to face with someone from her past.
AHHHHH! Now I really can't wait for the next chapter! It must come now! Nownownownownownownownowownownownow!
Urgh. I despise waiting.
Anyhoo. . .
This is a very good story, with a nice plot line. I wasn't just being nice when I said I couldn't wait for the next chapter. That was a very well-brought-off cliffhanger. Are you a professional? But anyway. The way Draco seemed think there was something familiar about 'Erin' when he and Ginny met at that bar/club/whatever it was was what I would have written. I mean, not exactly, but that is how I would have portrayed it. That was one of my favorite parts. My other favorite part was when Ginny (as Ginny) and Lucius locked eyes and Mr. Malfoy was a little confused. But I don't understand what happened. In the next chapter, that scene never happens, and Ginny just walks in and gets her bag. I just wanted to alert you to that. But anyway. (I know I that way too much, but I can't help myself) I really liked your story! I hope to read more soon.
Katie
Author's Response: They didn\'t lock eyes. Lucius saw Ginny, but she didn\'t see him. The hotel\'s windows are tinted, so she couldn\'t have seen inside. I haven\'t posted it here yet, but there is a new chapter posted at www.dracoandginny.com under the author name KateinVA.
The Christmas Rose by Subversa
Rated: Professors [Reviews - 107]
Summary: Their first Christmas as a married couple find Severus and Hermione with many projects. The Christmas Rose Potion, a litter of increasingly alarming kittens, and the long-awaited wedding of Ronald Weasley and Luna Lovegood are only the beginning. Rating for later chapters. This story is a sequel to Master of Enchantment.
Thank you for this wonderful contribution to my life. I loved it. All of your stories have been wonderful. I'm sorry I can't read all of them at once, but that would ruin the experience. Thank you.

Dance is the Hidden Language of the Soul by Soap
Rated: 6th-7th Years [Reviews - 689]
Summary: Set Post-Hogwart's, Voldemort has been defeated and the Wizarding world has returned to normal - well, as normal as Wizarding worlds could be. Hermione has a job at Gringott's, the Wizarding bank, but what will happen when an old enemy turns up as a colleague?
That was truly wondrous. I loved it. I cannot think of any other way to say that, because that is the best one.I also love all of your other stories, and I cannot wait to read more stories by you. I am extremely glad I found this one, and it has been a privilege to read and review this one. Once again, I will remind you that it is simply wondrous. Thank you for another great read!
