Summary: Everyone knows that Lily hated James. That is, until a special bottle worked its magic on them. When Lily is distraught from the death of her parents she can't imagine life without them. She finds a letter in a bottle that gives her strength to go on. Who was this boy that wrote to her? Could there possibly be someone out there that loved her so deeply?
This is the prequel to my other story, Message in a Bottle. It isn't essential that you read that one first, but it might be helpful.
This chapter makes me love Sirius...lol
I might have to start reading more Marauder's stories...lol.
Summary: Whoever knew that a couple still went on "dates" after they were married?
Runner-Up in the Best Canon Romance category of the 2007 Quicksilver Quill Awards
For those interested, I'm planning on writing a Prequel to this story. Just thought I'd let everyone know.
OMG... your story is why I shouldn't read this stuff at work... lol. I am sitting in my cubicle, crying. No offense to the other writer, but I read both stories, and you should have absolutely won the award. Nice job!
Summary: It's not always something happy and easy, love, but rather, can often times be terrifying and dangerous. The stolen kisses and whispered words are all well and good, but to be willing to set aside such a precious and fragile thing as one's own life just for the smallest sliver of hope that the other may survive to live another day... ah, well now, therein lies the true magic of love.
Very nice! I read a handful of painfully bad stories today and yours was a lovely change of pace. Very well written and not the same old thing we've all read a thousand times. :-)
Author's Response: Thank you! I always worry about that when writing stories. I try to be original but then usually end up stumbling onto a fic similiar to mine and then I just curse and throw a fit. Hahaha... well, I guess it\'s really hard to not have the same idea as somebody else when there are so many of us writing fanfiction. Anyway, thanks again! I\'m glad you were able to enjoy this.
Summary: Just a quick one-shot about Remus being unsure of his love for Sirius. But is it the love itself or the uncertainty of Sirius' that's making him feel this way? Slightly fluffy. One-shot.
lol... there were an overwhelmning amount of "awwwwws" already in the reviews, but I just have to add another, because that was my reaction as well... I love this pairing and I thought you wrote them well, but I also agree with a previous reviewer about disliking James' behavior... I would imagine he would have been more sensitive to Remus' feelings than that...
Summary: "Those who are faithless know the pleasures of love; it is the faithful who know love's tragedies." -Oscar Wilde
Lily didn't always love James. There was a man she loved before James, a man she loved during. See the desperate journey of Lily Evans' heart from the beginning of her Seventh year, when the person she least expected is named Head Boy.
Hmmm... I am curious where you would take this story if you continued it... would this be like an infidelity type story full of angst? lol I mean, according to canon we are already at the point where she will begin to fall for James soon... I love the Marauder era, so I say if you have a full story in your head, go for it... :-)
Summary: In a time when tomorrow is never a sure thing, you take what you're given and don't ask too many questions. Marlene McKinnon died before she could begin to understand, and Sirius Black and Remus Lupin were left with realization that, even in a war, life goes on.
That really was lovely... I hate to use the same words as other reviewers... but it was the first word that popped into my head as I finished reading... so it must be true. :-) While I am now an R/S shipper in my heart of hearts, I started out reading marauder era stories about the two of them in het pairings, so that feels equally natural to me as well... and I imagine they could have all used as much love in their lives as was possible during those trying times... I also think your depiction works really well to support canon as well as the fanon of R/S shippers. It's not about sexual orientation as much as it is just about love... maybe that's why we all think it's so "lovely" LOL.
