Hi! I'm just another Harry Potter fanatic, much like yourself. I'm loving the college life, but hate only getting to read sporadically. I like reading these stories, as they keep the characters alive for me! I've got several ideas for fics, but just need the time.

Authors: Sarah Dessen, J. K. Rowling (duh), Deb Calletti, Garth Nix, Scott Westerfield, Libba Bray, Jane Austen, Jaclyn Moraity, and Kate Brian.

Movies: Italian Job, Notting Hill, Princess Bride, October Sky, Pride and Prejudice, The Proposal, Enchanted, Finding Nemo, and all the Disney princess movies.

Bands: Coldplay, CAKE, Cartel, and I absolutely adore Yellowcard...

I guess that's it for now, so

this quiz made me laugh.

Talking is fun. Typing is more fun.

What happened to their journals??? George's apology was so great. I hope they have a nice relationship now, no cursed wands. :) Poor Ginny. Good work, update soon, please!

Give Him a Mask by Marauder by Midnight

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Draco hates trick or treating, an occasion when ignorant Muggles pretend they are good enough to cross the line that separates their world from his. However, because of his role in the War, he is forced to accompany young Scorpius on a door-to-door expedition for Muggle candy. His only solace is that he can finally journey out of his manor without being stared at and hides comfortably behind his mask.

Just when he thought it couldn't get any worse, he finds himself being tailed by a strange, pregnant penguin.

Written for my friend Delaney (callmehermione) for SPEW's Halloween Swap.

I like the way you portray Draco and his life now. Scorpius is carefree, and I like the way he and James paired up, ignorant of their families' differences. Ginny is also somewhat confined in her life, and her talk with Draco helps them both. This is a great fic!

****UPDATE**** 7/31/08 Chapter Five just submitted :) ********

7/30/2011 Years later I'm finally getting ready to update this story. I've re-written this chapter five times so far now. Chapters 5 and 6 sort of blend together, I'm trying to pick a good separation point. Chapter 5 is less Draco. Chapter 6 is ALL Draco. Thanks to anyone who has stuck with this story.

CHAPTER FIVE IS VALIDATED AND UP! :D Reviews are appreciated.

I like it, especially Melanie, but she's a bit over-dramatic. Just wondering about cannon to understand it better: up to which book is it compliant? I'm looking forward to the third chapter and I hope the mods update it soon!

Author's Response: Thank you. Yes, I made Melanie a bit overly dramatic, but then again, she\'s had a pretty horrible life and you find out a little more about it in the third chapter. It\'s set in their seventh year so I guess up to the end of HBP, just because Draco returned to school and stuff. So it is compliant with the fifth book for sure and parts of the sixth. Glad you like it! I\'m still waiting with my fingers crossed for chapter 3 to be accepted! **Emma

Curriculum Vitae by Hermione_Rocks

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Ever since the war ended, Theodore Nott has found little solace in anything, save for his Firewhiskey purchases. Due to happenings and circumstances, he runs into the most unlikely people and places, ones that may just be able to help him as he trundles along through life.

This is a story of pain, loss, regret, bitterness. This is a story of joy, laughter, forgiveness, hope. It's a story of second glances, second considerations, second chances. And first chances too. Curriculum Vitae is Latin for: The course of one’s life.

This story was the overall winner of the '07/'08 Winter Tales Challenge. It also took the 2009 QSQ award for Best Post-Hogwarts Chaptered story. I am as stunned as I am grateful. Thank you.

Theodore Nott has always been an interesting character for me, so thanks for writing about him. His connection with Aberforth Dumbledore is a cool twist, so that's nice, too.
Post again soon!

Author's Response: I\'ve never thought much about Theodore before, to be honest, but the lovely prompt for the challenge really inspired me to write about him! Thank you for the review, and the third chapter should be up within a few days. :D

Cinderella Was a Redhead by NeLLyRaE

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Lily Evans has problems. She sleepwalks, (and always ends up in strange places) she is disorganised, flunking Arithmancy, and, to her dismay, was made Head Girl. There is also the problem of James Potter, who refuses to stop asking her out. Will she ever pull herself together enough to give him a chance?

I love the humor in this fic. Lily is so great, and different from other perceptions. However, near the end, in the middle of a word it randomly talks about someone (a grandmother?) being sad and having cancer. I think it's a typo, and maybe you should change that bit so it's easier to understand. Update soon, please!

Author's Response: thanks so much. I checked what you were talking about, i have NO IDEA where that came from, how random...do not know how that got there!!!! but i fixed it, thanks for the tip!

I don't usually read Hermione/other character, but I did like this one. Could you please clarify for all those who are not lucky enough to know Gaelic? The context is a pretty good indication, but it's a bit difficult to think you know, while not being 100% sure. Thanks! good job.

Author's Response: *lol* I must admit, I\'m very bad for not providing translations in any of my stories. I have gone back though, and added them in the Author\'s Note, if you want to check them out :-)

I really like your story. Snape has intrigued me for a while, and your story really fleshes him out well. I'm looking forward to the next chapter and what will happen to him.

Author's Response: Thanks very much, and sorry it has taken me so long to reply. :) I have been working on another couple of chapters which, if they are approved, should be up fairly soon. He is a great character-- I agree with you completely that he's intriguing, and it's interesting trying to strike a balance in writing him taking a different path while still being himself. --Anya

Shining Through Blackness by luinrina

Rated: 6th-7th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: Isla was born into a well-known and respected family: the Blacks. She grew up with their traditions and was proud to be who she was – until she met someone who showed her that what she knew was not the only world.

Follow a young witch through her teenage years and discover how a traditional one will change and rebel against what she believed was the only truth.

Due to plot development in chapters nine and ten I've changed the warning from "None" to "Sexual Situations" for the rest of the story. In some chapters there are still punishments which do not qualify as “Abuse”; those are meant as reprimands for bad behaviour, a common method in the middle of the nineteenth century. If you can’t stand children being smacked by parents or others as well as any sexual situation occuring, do not read that story. You have been warned…

I love this story! Isla is so sweet, and her emotions are so conflicting! I loved the German as I study it in school-I could actually understand most of it! So, keep up the good work and I look forward to your next chapter.

Author's Response: Thanks! It's great to know that you even understood the majority. :)

A Different View On Love by helz_belz

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: James would do anything to get inside Lily’s head. Lily would do anything to get away from James. Lily was brewing a banned potion. James went to find her. Lily made a mistake and the potion exploded. James got his wish, but is it much more than he bargained for?

Now Complete!

After a year the Epilouge is now up! Come read for a bit of fun!!

Runner up QSQ - Best Chaptered Canon Romance

Reason for Nomination:
This is the most unique take on how James and Lily really got to know each other. The story is hilarious and keeps you laughing throughout, but it never lets you forget the serious stuff. Plus, she somehow manages to end each chapter with a nice cliffhanger.

Turning the Page by Sly Severus

Goodness gracious. I think you should have a bit more interaction with Kingsley and Teddy because Teddy is so cute. I really like the idea of Andromeda having someone to love her, and I've always liked Kingsley. I never really thought about it, but their ages would be close, so it's a nice change for Kingsley. Congrats on a great story and thanks for updating so often!

Author's Response: Thank you!

I love that Kingsley's age isn't specified. It makes pairing him with whoever I feel like totally possible. And recently I've really grown to love his character.

There will be more interaction with Teddy coming up. But not in the next chapter...

Thanks again for the lovely review.

I'm really getting teary-eyed with this story. The red rose is so sweet! Great idea. Forgiveness is a wonderful gift, and I think Ted would indeed want Andromeda to be happy with Kingsley. Thanks for the chapter (and the whole story), I super like it.

Author's Response: :D I'm glad you like it.

I also think that Ted would want Andromeda to be happy. In a way, he's probably grateful to Kingsley for being there for Andromeda when he can't.

NOOOO! Kingsley is so sweet. Poor Andromeda and poor Kingsley. I suppose this is every widow's fear, loving someone else and dishonoring the dead. I'm really looking forward to the (hopeful) resolution of their relationship. Once again, thanks for the quick update!

Author's Response: Yes, poor Kingsley. I've really grown to like him, and lately I've been writing him in romantic situations, but I have a tendency to jerk the poor guy around a lot.

Thanks for the review. I'm glad you're enjoying the story.

Our Little Secret by Kerichi

It was like a wizard tale. The clever Slytherin helps a hag who later repays the debt. Except that Rose Weasley wasn't a hag, and Scorpius didn't expect to call in the favour.

I realized this story is only a few chapters and I was so surprised. So much has happened in character development (I really like Lily) that it feels like one of those fics you've been reading for ages. Except better and really funny. Keep up the good work. And Scorpius' dimple: aww...

Thank you for such a lovely compliment! That's what I want, for you to know the characters and look through their eyes, so you made my day! *hugs*

LOL. Miley Siren? You are brilliant. I admire Rose's appreciation of chocolate, as well. And the revelation that she's Malfoy's first girlfriend: so cute! Also, some explanation of Phineas Filch and Scorpius's "friendship"...much needed. Looking forward to the next chapter (especially the *very awkward* train ride.

Author's Response: I had fun putting Miley in. :D The explanation of Phineas and Scorpius' friendship was in ch 3. Phineas, inspired to mischief-making by reading all his dad's files--but Slytherin enough not to want to get caught--made a deal with Scorpius on the first day of term. Any information he and Myrtle could dig up for Prefect duty schedules. Thus an unusual friendship...and the Phantom of the Prefects...was born. :)

I loved this chapter! And I must admit, I was singing wave, wave, wave your wand and it's stuck in my head now. haha. I'm excited to see Scorpius' Patronus and I was very pleased with his reception from the Weasleys. Lucy is so cute! I look forward to the next chapter, as always.

Author's Response:

Yay for you singing! The Patronus will send Rose running downstairs, and Lucy's even cuter in the next chapter (it involves a treehouse and a toad, I can say no more, lol)
