Tommy Boy - The Amazing Dancing Chicken by Avian020391

Rated:8 Reviews
Summary: said “Uh, umm, uh, Hagrid? Have the chickens been acting a little weird lately?”... “Well, I think some have been using the VCR.” More witty humour than palpable jokes, this is a 1,800 word story about, well, Tommy Boy - The Amazing Dancing Chicken! Rated PG-13 because, unless you are some amazing prodigy, you probably won't get the jokes if you're younger than that.

There may be some reason behind Snape's words.

*giggle* I like how you used "git". You did a super fantastic job showing the bound between the marauders too. *gigle*

Author's Response: *Bow* Ah, I\'m a sucker for friendships like those between the Marauders.\r\nThank you!

A Destiny in Time by Gmariam

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • 91 Reviews Past Featured Story
Summary: Harry Potter has fulfilled his destiny, and survived his final confrontation with Voldemort; the Dark Lord has been vanquished, but at a terrible price. Dozens are dead, including some of those closest to Harry, and he blames only himself for failing them. Desperate, he returns to Hogwarts hoping to change what has happened and save those he loves. In doing so he unknowingly saves himself, but the consequences require great sacrifice.

This short story is now complete. It begins on the battlefield just after Harry’s duel with Voldemort, and follows Harry as he tries desperately to right the mistakes of the past, only to rewrite his own future.

Ooooooo! That was sooooo sad! *sob* The ending was cheesy in a good way. What I don't get is why Ron and everybody else was still dead in the begining if Harry had succeded in going back in time to save them. But it was still really good!

Author's Response: Hi there. Well, they weren\'t actually dead in the beginning, Harry just *though* they were, because he didn\'t know he had saved them until he went back in time and actually saved them. It\'s a bit confusing, time travel. ;) But believing they had died because he had failed was what motivated him to go back and save them, so if he hadn\'t thought that, he wouldn\'t have gone back, and they might really be dead. . . eh, I\'m confusing myself now! ;) But like I said - they weren\'t really dead in the first chapter, that\'s just what Harry thought at the time. Hopefully that makes sense. *whew* Thanks so much for reading this story and asking about that! I\"m so glad you liked it, even if it was sad. Thanks for the lovely review!! ~Gina :)

Save the Last Dance for Me by annie

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • 17 Reviews
Summary: Harry and Draco have an arrangement they stand by, no matter what. Based on Michael Bublé's cover of "Save the Last Dance for Me".

The NC-17 version of this fic can be found here.

That was really....awkward. Nice writing, but Draco and Harry didn't seem at all like they do in the HP books. *wink wink nudge nudge*

Long Since Forgotten by Scheherazade

Summary: Voldemort has been defeated, and as he slowly dies, his life begins to flash before his eyes....

An interesting point of view. I liked how you made Harry a bit of a bad guy in a sense. Nice work!

Author's Response: Thanks! :-) When I was writing it, I kind of played with the idea of doing a little role reversal or sorts. :-)

Now What? by the_evenstar

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • 10 Reviews
Summary: After Ron and Harry die in the final battle, Hermione is unable to cope with Ron's death because, unlike Harry's, his seemed unconsequential in the grand scheme of things. Can she ever forgive the person who caused all this to happen?

(The "character death" warning is just for a mention of character death!)

....Hmmmmmm.....I was sort of confused as to why Hermione was a beauty queen...and she didn't care about Harry! *sob*

Author's Response: Yes, this was a strange story. I wouldn\'t have made Hermione a beauty queen normally, but this story was originally written for a Romance class prompt to [try to] make cliches more believable, and the two cliches I used were (1) beauty-queen Hermione, and (2) a D/Hr romance. So, it is a little strange, but hopefully more believable than MOST D/Hr romances with a beauty-queen Hermione! :D

Teeheee, purple muskrat. No seriously that was a pretty fabulous story. I especially liked how you mixed modern characters' names with crazy cool 1600's names. Selena Ollivander had a striking resemblance to Luna Lovegood, which was awesome, considering Luna is one of my favourite characters. Great story! {:>

Author's Response: The resemblance you noted is there for a reason; it links to a story I wrote called Going Through The Motions. Thank you for your review!

Neville Longbottom and the Philosopher's Stone by Sonorus

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • 102 Reviews
Summary: "Yes Neville," said Dumbledore, "it was Voldemort who came to your parents’ house that night nearly ten years ago. It was Voldemort who killed them. And it was Voldemort who then turned his wand on you.”

The ultimate 'what if?'. What if Voldemort had chosen Neville rather than Harry as the boy meant by the prophecy? What if Neville was the Boy-Who-Lived and Harry was the "might have been"?

Join Neville as he faces some familiar and less familiar challenges of his first year at Hogwarts in the first of an epic seven story series mirroring the original novels.

Story now complete. Book 2 is on its way!

You did a good job with Dumbledore! Loads of people make him sound like a complete weirdo, but you made him just like he should be.

Author's Response: Thanks! He\'s not the easiest character to get right, so I\'m glad you like him.

The Losing Side by Jazzinator

Summary: A Final Battle fic from Draco's point of view. Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?...
Reviewer: DanIsRad74 Signed
Date: 06/22/07 Title: Chapter 1: The Losing Side

Oooooooooo! That was dramatic! I liked it but you kinda lost the song aspect as the story went on. It was really good though! Nice an' angsty!

Author's Response: Thanks! It was originally going to be a song fic, but early on I realized that I had strayed from the song too much for that.

Whisper Slowly to Me by Morbid_Madness

Rated: 6th-7th Years • 18 Reviews
Summary: It all started with a few simple whispers at night, then appearances of people no one but he could see.

In Harry Potter’s fifth year, people believed him mad because he believed Voldemort had returned. In his seventh year, people think he’s insane again. And this time, Harry isn’t arguing.

About the 'Suicide' warning: Attempt at suicide only. This is just put up in case this topic offends you.

Update: So many people liked this story and asked for a sequel. Well, it's in the process! Keep a lookout for it!

That was really weired. And slightly creepy. But the ending was really good.

Author's Response: Weird and creepy...cool! That\'s just how I like it. Everyone else likes the ending...Could we focus on Harry about to jump off a tower?! Lol. Thank you. ~Faith
