I am in the process of adding my stories back onto the site! I have done a little editing and some won't make it back here, but what does... and what I write from now on hopefully will pass your high standards!

I have done some tweaking to the chapters of Fawkes' Gifts and am now having to have them beta'd again. Please bear with me as this takes time between postings.

If you need to contact me, try PMing me on the forum.

Oh, I was astonished to find out that Hedwig's Tale was Podcasted! How cool is that? Thank you so much mudbloodproud for the nomination and thank you so much to Wendy/kiley the Mermuggle who read it so wonderfully.

I was doing a little research, making sure I had my facts right for a scene in my fic that I am writing, and the centaur I mentioned in my last review here was spelled Ronan. So even though you meant a different Ronin, that one doesn't apply anyway.
If you watch Stargate Atlantis, there is a gorgeous Ronin there also. Just a little trivia, and another sexy man to add to the list.

Author's Response: *grins* Thanks :-)

I said in the review for ASL that I would read this one. I donít think I can review after each chapter, so I am going to keep a log, and post it at the end, it might be a little out of chapter order, but I think you will get what goes where, I mean hey, you wrote it. This is going to be hard to write, I want to make sure I express myself clearly, and respectfully.

Harry using the Cruciatus Curse isnít new, J.K. had him do it in OotP, I can understand how he could and would change enough to use it to this extreme on Bella.
Itís hard to think of Harry, the one we all know and love, being capable of rape. In some ways the physical doesnít matter, it was the mental that did her more harm. Harry was trying to save her and everyone else, but in the process lost all hope for himself. I donít like the concept of rape, and even though it is a stepping-stone for the other things to happen, it was hard to read.

Rhea is adorable, and a Parselmouth, huh, didnít see that one coming, yeah, right. Seriously, the new family in America is a good one for him. They helped him heal, and find himself again. Now that Rhea is going to Hogwarts it will make him grow up even more and quit hiding. Welcome back Hedwig!

Ron and Hermione will fight anywhere. Even at the bedside of a very ill sister/friend. Nice to see they are still the same. Neville always struck me as being more sensitive, I mean that in a good way, to what people feel and need. He seems very good for Ginny. And she is right, most people visit hospital rooms for their own comfort, not the patients. Never really thought about the pairing of Neville and Ginny before, I guess I got caught in canon, and Ginny is for Harry and vice versa. I am actually glad you paired them this way though.

How do you explain to a family that something wonderful came from something so horrible? You have a knack for writing the hard parts with style, grace, and even a little wit. I am impressed.

Ron and Luna? Oh that is a little too weird. One night stand, maybe. Everlasting love, not even in the most twisted imagination.

Sara, Sara, Sara, just accept it when the pillow flies across the room and smacks you in the face. After that long together she should know you canít rush Harry to talk about something he isnít ready to talk about.

Rhea, Elsa, and Algie, another trio, oh my god! But at least this time its two girls. And in Hufflepuff, I know there is nothing wrong with that, but Harryís daughter, talking to snakes in Hufflepuff. Itís just kind of funny.

Harryís response to Ginny being alive seems very real. Finally he tells Sara why he is who and what he is. Way to go Harry.

This review is getting long, so I will cut it in half. I will finish it, at the end of chapter eleven.

Author's Response: *grins* Thank you. I donít like the concept of rape, and even though it is a stepping-stone for the other things to happen, it was hard to read. Again, thank you. That is by far the most difficult thing I have ever written - rape should never be easy to read and should always be handled with the utmost of care. I haven\'t written it yet, but Ginny and Harry will have to deal with what happened.

Hufflepuff... I\'m glad you found that amusing, it was intended to be. When I first sketched Rhea out in my head, she was Ravenclaw. I saw her as being more her mother\'s daughter in a lot of ways. But at the time, there were several forums discussion going on about authors forgetting about/trashing Hufflepuff. I made a conscious decision to go against the grain and use an underappreciated house. That seemingly arbitrary choice had some great results though, it forced me to look at Rhea\'s character and try to find the Hufflepuff characteristics in her, as well as to create a bond between her and her two friends that was more Hufflepuff in nature, than her father\'s relationship with Hermione and Ron. It\'s fun in next generation fics to explore the similarities between the kids and their parents, but it\'s also crucial that you make them their own people with their own characteristics. So yeah, there\'s a new trio - but they\'ll have their own identity.

Here are the rest of my thoughts, on what you have so far.

Tonks definitely knows her stuff. I think having her as the DADA teacher is an excellent idea. But Minerva McGonagall seems to be acting like Dumbledore. He meddled in Harryís life entirely too much, and now she is following right along and doing the same. Harry could have sent his daughter off to school in America, and wouldnít have had to deal with everything in England.

Rhea likes Snape. I am sure Harry hates that. I am of the opinion that Severus Snape is, gasp, still a good guy. I think in book seven there will be a reason for what he did, and everyone who thought different will have to eat their words. Just my opinion, but it seems to be a, surprisingly, widespread one held by many others. I am glad you have written him this way. I simply that you have given him a sense of humor. He is really very funny.

As any good parent, Harry risked Splinching to get to his daughter. The confrontation between Harry and Severus was long overdue. I am glad that they are both
mature enough to allow a child to make her own impressions.

You have a way of writing Hermione and Snape together that doesnít make me feel like I need to take a shower. It is still weird, but it is actually growing on me.

Ron and Harry had a lot to work through, and I was surprised to see that you let Ron cry. Most people donít. And Harry taking orders from Snape, amazing.

Oh dear, Harry has a godson? Named after a centaur? And what happened with Harry and Ginny meeting again?
I know, I know, I have to wait just like everybody else. I actually want to finish this one. Please tell me you will keep posting here? See you at the next chapter then.

Author's Response: You have a way of writing Hermione and Snape together that doesnít make me feel like I need to take a shower. ~ *dies laughing* My mission is accomplished ;-)

Named after a centaur? ~ *blinks* Oops! I liked the name. I forget it\'s already been used int he Potterverse as a centaur\'s name. I think more along the lines of the Robert DeNiro movie Ronin. Ah well, the boy may have similar characteristics.

As for the status of this fic - it\'s tabled for a while. My two betas and I all got very busy with real life and diverted by other interests, all at the same time. They were both essentially co-authors as they really went through each chapter and nit-picked and insisted upon correction and helped me fine tune characters and... well I\'ve been rather lost without them. I have a new co-author on board with whom I\'m really looking forward to working with, but she, like me, has a very busy summer ahead of her. We\'ve both agreed to wait until Deathly Hollows is out so that we can benefit from the new canon. I know that post book 7 there may not be much of a market for an AU fic like this, but it is dear to my heart and I will finish it anyway. Just not right now...

Thank you so much for your reviews, I have really enjoyed them! I love it when I can turn a new reader to the dark side of \'alternative\' pairings. *evil grin* The thing is, it\'s not so much the pairings that draw me as the authors. It takes a certain level of skill to even attempt some pairings and so it\'s in the rare-pair genres that you\'ll find some of the best work imo.

Bittersweet by Aebhel

Summary: It's funny about wars. They drive people to do things we never would ordinarily--good and bad. Harry and I had only been dating for four months. He loved me--I know that and I knew it then--but if there hadn't been a war, he would have waited. I think he just wanted something to hold onto...for when it was all over.

Ron comes across Ginny's diary, four years after the war has ended.

EDIT: 1000 reads!

Entertaining story. Even though we don't want Harry to die, I guess we should at least know that it could happen. Good job!

This review is for all thirty four chapters, so I expect it to be a long one. Inter-house mentoring, and cooperation, Hmmmm? Not something that I think would ever happen, but you never know. Harry and Ginny getting married without Molly blowing a gasket, at least for a little while? Have you met Molly Weasley? The Howlers the Weasley boys sent were hilarious. Percy is to quote Hermione (movie) a Foul, loathesome evil little cockroach. I really think Molly would disown Percy in favor of Harry too. The library, Pensieves, wandless magic, etc. are a little over the top, but I really think that you have told a very well written story. The descriptions of what people were thinking and feeling, aside from Harry, were very informative and sometimes very funny. Harry too. All in all a very good piece of fiction. The prophecy that Harry made sounds like a riddle. Of course I guess not all prophecies are straightforward are they? Good work on it. I liked the thread you used from start to finish with the wool socks. Dumbledore will always recieve books, but will give socks. Next stop for me is Beyond the Prophecy. See you there.

Harry Potter and the Unlocked Mind by Huskers

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Harry, Ginny, Ron, and Hermione struggle to fill their roles in the two prophecies. Time is growing short and the finally battle looms. Who will decide where and when it takes place? Will the foursome find the key to Harry's victory in time?

This is the year seven sequel to, Harry Potter and the Blood Traitor. Read that first, or you will have no clue what is going on in this. Now that HBP is out, and I have continued to post my story, Harry Potter and the Unlocked Mind, I thought I would take a second to say this. Unlocked Mind will not be modified in any way to accomodate any of the cannon from HBP. Unlocked Mind, while not posted, was essentially finished before the release of JKR's book. Any similarities that my version of year seven has that may tie it to JKR's version of year six are coincidence.

I repeat, you could rival J.K. I would love to read more of your work. As I have apparantly read everything you have on mugglenet right now, would you please either write something else, or let us know if you have stories on other sites?
I was pleased when you mentioned in your A/N about remembering those who have died for us. I am from a military family and I married into a miltary family. You are right, war is hell and there are far too many good people that fight and die for people that could care less. Thank you for acknowledging their sacrifices.

Author's Response: Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. I wish I could direct you to more of my writing, but this is all I have to this point. I have a new HP story that is about a 1/4 done, but won\'t post it till I finish it. I make no promises about when that might be. As to my writing of my own creation, I am on chapter 15 of a book that will be 1 of 3 and that I hope to publish some day. Thanks again, and feel free to e-mail me for up dates if you like. OH MY GOD!!!! Normally I would wait until the last chapter to review, but this has to be the best scenario I have ever read. And trust me I read about sixteen hours a day. You have unlimited potential to write anything you can imagine and probably rival J.K. in imagination. As the seventh book isn't out yet, I can't say yet that you have supassed her. We will have to wait and see. I will leave my final review at the end of your story.

Author's Response: Wow, thanks for your enthusiasim. I am trying to wroite my own stuff, but have stalled for a bit recently. I will finish it some day. Hopefully it will be half as big as HP was for JKR. I\'m glad you like the set up. Seems like everything I read has Voldy holding all the cards at the end, and it is prettty much luck that Harry wins. I wanted to do something different.

Harry Potter and the Reflection of Darkness by Czarina

Rated: Professors •
Summary: Itís the summer after the battle at the Ministry of Magic and Harry has returned to Privet Drive, where he awaits the time when he can rejoin his friends. A certain redhead has begun to occupy his mind and awaken emotions he never knew he had. As he continues to mourn the loss of his godfather, Harry slowly begins to heal and may have discovered a way to communicate with Sirius. Can it be too good to be true? Takes place directly following OOTP. Primarily a H/G romance, with some R/Hr as well. Rated R for adult content in future chapters.

Great chapter! The foreshadowing was excellent, and expelling Pansy was very well done. I can only hope that Percy and Umbridge are meeting for other reasons than Ďa secret affairí because that is just too disgusting to think about.
Dumbledore was really funny when he found them coming down from the Astronomy Tower. Ron seemed pretty quick on the uptake about Umbridge and McNair being the reason Rita was killed. Actually pretty glad she is gone. Good job.
Considering you are writing this from OotP on, you are doing an excellent job of telling the story. HBP aside, this is a great storyline for sixth year. I applaud your writing skills and hope that you continue to do such a good job.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the lovely review! I felt the need to get rid of a few people, so I did some basic housekeeping. I fear this may only be the beginning, however. One thing I adored about Dumbledore is his sense of humor, even when he\'s dealing with adult topics. As for Percy and Umbridge, you will discover the reason soon enough - imagining them in a romantic relationship is delightfully creepy though, isn\'t it? Thanks again for your kind words.

I am not one to review after every chapter when there are this many. To be honest, most of the time I don't have much to say about individual chapters. These were well written and enjoyable, and I would like to read the rest of it. I have tagged this story so I will know when you update, and can read the new chapter as soon as it is posted.

Author's Response: Thanks very much. I am happy to receive all reviews, regardless of whether someone has time to review each chapter or just does a single one. I appreciate them all the same. Thank you for the kind review

Reviewer: red haired mom Signed
Date: 08/25/07 Title: Chapter 27: Chapter 27 - The Approaching Storm

Percy Weasley has got to be the most arrogant, self centered, self absorbed, brown nosed, rude, pretentious, unfeeling, brick brained, a few choice curse words here, ambitious twit ever to grace the pages of a fictitious body of work that I have ever had the misfortune to see. I can only hope that you do something particularly nasty to him before you are through. So many people, including J.K. allowed him back into the family with all forgiven, but I canít believe that would ever happen.
Oh to be a teenager again, the teasing and studying being done while they are wishing to be somewhere kissing and not studying.
The presents seem to be perfect for the girls and it is funny how the things Ron wants to get for Hermione always seem to be right in his price range. Lucky it was on sale huh?
Trust Umbridge to be in league with Death Eaters, and Percy to be (see above) enough to go right along without questioning anything she wants him to do. He has always been blinded by monetary gains and status promotions. Why would anyone knowingly trust someone who is in the service of Voldemort? If you arenít branded with the Dark Mark, you are expendable, and sometimes even then. Refusing to become a Death Eater sealed her fate. Was that a wedding ring Percy dropped on the floor? Hmmmm, I have to think about that.
George is actually following orders? How did that happen? All right, where did they wind up? I know, I know, wait for the next chapter and find out then.
Great job on this chapter, I really enjoyed it and canít wait to see what happens next. I hope the next chapter comes soon. See you thenÖ

Author's Response: Oh my, I dearly love your reviews! I see my extreme dislike of Percy comes through just as I intended. Unlike JKR, I would not likely be as forgiving of his attitude and arrogance. It remains to be seen just what I will do with him, but I\'m pretty sure it won\'t be all wine and roses. As for the ring, it\'s an important clue and its significance will be revealed shortly. It is a bit odd to see George following orders, isn\'t it? I like to think that he\'s maturing, but sooner or later I am sure both he and Fred will be up to their old tricks. Thanks so much for the wonderful, heartfelt review - I sincerely appreciate it.

The Magic of Muggle Sweets by Huskers

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: I wrote this for the, Short and Sweet Summer Fic Contest, on pnoenixsong.net. It took fifth place in the contest, and I am posting it here for people to read now.

The story is set in the summer after Harry's fifth year about a week before the return to school. The premise of the contest was to write a short, 3000 words or less, story that involved the sharing of a sweet of some sort between the characters in the story. The sweet could be Muggle or Magical. This is what I came up with.

Too Sweet to Remember by Canadian Confessional

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Meet James Potter, a clever, somewhat mischievous, popular student at Hogwarts. He takes every situation in stride and has everything under control, except one: Lily Evans, an amazingly beautiful and intelligent individual. He loves her more than anything, but she despises him more than anything, and a not-so-impressive run-in late at night with her leaves James thinking that chasing after Lily might be hopeless. Then, a series of events happen in James' life, which is topped off by an unexpected visitor that makes his sixth year too sweet to remember.

I havenít read many James/Lily stories. But this one caught my eye. I really enjoyed it and would love to read more, if you decide to write the sequel.
In the books there are references to the Marauders and Lily, but you have fleshed them out so well that I have to commend your writing ability. I was especially pleased that you didnít focus on the Marauder/Snape friction. You had enough in this to make it ďrealĒ but the main focus was on what young friends will do when they are finding love and strengthening friendships.
The episode with Sirius at home was disturbing, and from what J.K. has given us in her books, completely accurate. I know it must have been difficult to write about that type of abuse, but you portrayed it well.
With James the only one to actually remember, the epilogue was very touching. I happen to believe that if you love someone to the extent that James and Lily were supposed to, then even the memory charm wouldnít keep her from knowing somewhere in her heart, or soul that she should give James a chance. And according to J.K. she does in the seventh year. Just goes to show that even Voldemort couldnít stop true love from bring to life his destruction.
I would like to say thank you for giving me an enjoyable afternoon while reading your story.

Author's Response: Hi there! I know this is a VERY late response, but I\'ve been extremely busy, and I hadn\'t checked the site in ages until recently where I saw your review.
