Hello Potter,
good start. I was especially pleased to see the positive comment about Hufflepuff! The boys are all in character. It was thoughtful of them to let Remus sleep instead of trying to wake him up sooner (bless!).
Very sweet.
May I suggest a few Brit-tips? Brits don't use the term 'alma mater' - in the Hogwarts context it would just be 'house'. Booger is, I think, an Americanism, Brits would say 'bogey' (although I think it's fair to sy, it's disgusting either way *chuckle*). And when Sirius offered Remus some sweets, as a Brit he would probably have said 'We have plenty', not, 'We got plenty'.
Otherwise, this is off to a good start and I'm just about to click on the 'next' button for chapter two.
Bye,
Kara's Aunty ;)

Summary: A set of different character haikus including Death Eaters, the Malfoy's, the Dursleys, the Weasleys and more.
Hello ron lover,
too true! Dudders is a Mummy's boy! Thank goodness he mellowed out a bit in the last book. There had to be at least one person in that ghastly family who showed a bit of remorse for their treatment of poor Harry...
Well done,
M :)
Summary: A poem about Harry dying.
Hello ron lover,
this wee poem was short, yet poignant. Those poor children, seeing their father die (I hope, at least, it was of old age).
Nice to someone else with poetry onsite!

Luceafărul by Calico
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 7]
Summary: On a night soon after Voldemort's destruction, Charlie tells Ginny the legend of Luceafărul. But is it her story as well?
Hello Calico,
a lovely story. Full of depth and feeling. I liked the Romanian parable and how Ginny identified with its heroine. Lucky for her, her own fate was not quite so tragic.
Beautifully written.

Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 4]
Summary: War is looming right outside the door as a mother rocks her child to sleep.
A sonnet written for the Diamond Challenge at PA. My chosen theme was Innocence.
Hello hestiajones,
what a lovely poem. Simultaneously sad and hopeful. Makes me feel for poor Lly because she has no idea what's coming, although in retrospect, I suppose it could apply to Alice Longbottom as well.
*sniffles*
Nice work, m'dear!

Hello Natalie,
very, very amusing! Archie and Theo got exactly what they deserved - and then some. Though I still can't help but feel sorry for them. Boils on their bits? OUCH!!

To Improve a Hero's Image by Cinderella Angelina
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 2]
Summary: Neville Longbottom was a hero, but the title wasn't sitting well on him. At yet another party, Neville meets someone who is determined to make him over into the image of a hero, and won't take no for an answer.
Written originally for the Harry Potter Last Author Standing competition on LiveJournal. The prompt was Makeover, with a TV show as a guideline.
Hello Cinderella Angelina,
nice to see another Neville writer about. You got his personality spot-on. I enjoyed the makeover theme, though I wanted to happily smack Terry and the team at time for saying such rude things about Nev - 'cos he's perfect just the way he is!
An engaging, quirky tale. It made me smile to see Nev put those pushy fashionistas in their place!

Negotiation with Death by Nagini Riddle
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 2]
Summary: Lily negotiates with the bringer of death.
Written for the Negotiation with Death challenge in the Poetry Anyone? Forum.
Very lovely and sad. You've managed to capture the sense of utter helplessness and desperation (for Harry) which surely commanded Lily's last moments whilst also touching on the grief for James' death that she would never have the time to fully experience.
Sad, sweet and brings a definite lump to my throat.
Kara's Aunty ;)
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I have a hard time trying to imagine what it must have been like for Lily in those last moments, but I'm glad that you feel that I've captured it well. :)

Thank you.The portrait first appeared in “The Badly Fitting Coat” and Harry’s grandparents will be back. I wanted to give him a better connection to his parents.
