Summary: A little character exploration. How did Neville's Gran take the news of her son's torture and what does she really think of her grandson?
Pretty good, although weren't the Longbottom's tortured soon after the Potter's died in October?
I'm not sure if people who were coming to tell you that your son and his wife were as good as dead would want to sit around for tea, either.
I like that you chose to explore this character, though. There has got to be more to her than JKR has let on.
Summary: "Albus Dumbledore aimed his wand at the Pensieveís liquid depths and twitched his arm upwards. Ten ghostly figures slowly emerged from the liquid, their bodies spun out of the translucent matter. The Gryffindor Class of 1978..."
We all know how this tale ends, but how does it begin? Did Lily hate James from Day One? Did James fall head over heels the moment he first laid eyes on Lily? How did Remus feel about the whole thing? Who let Peter slip through the cracks? And what exactly happens when Sirius gets hold of some Time-Release Dungbombs?
The Marauders' years at Hogwarts were marked by internal demons, external tensions, and whispers from the shadows growing steadily louder. By intertwining lives in the midst of danger. By powerful love and a whole lot of laughter. This is their story, a tale of cauldrons and comrades.
Wow. I just recently discovered MNFF and your writing amazes me!!! It's awesome how you insert all of those cannon details... keep up the awesome work!!!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for such a wonderful review! I\'m so glad you\'ve discovered MNFF--it\'s an incredible place. I\'m a stickler for canon, so I like to make sure all the details are in order. I\'m glad you appreciate them! :)
Summary: The last day of Sirius's life. He's got a lot of free time to hit the bottle and brood on life, memories, people, etc. Order members come and go, and it all ends with the battle and a certain mysterious veil.
I love this story!!! It just keeps getting better and better!!! It's cool how you make all the events work out, and very plausible.
Author's Response: Thanks!! I\'m really glad you think it gets better, because whenever I\'ve been writing lately I\'ve been afraid I won\'t be able to make it as good as before....
Summary: A Missing Snippet from Order of the Phoenix. One womanís occupation is to sack all of the remaining teachers and staff at Hogwarts who are not loyal to Cornelius Fudge, the Minister; but there is only one thing- person- stopping her.
With his long silvery hair, and deep, soft voice, she canít help but think about him.
Delve deep into the mind of Dolores Jane Umbridge, High Inquisitor of Hogwarts.
A short and er- weird Dumbledore/Umbridge story written for the Spring Term Challenge. I am Ron x Hermione, of Hufflepuff. I have taken Professor Roxy's Fluff to Fiction, Owl-Level Romance.
Okay, this is good writing and all, but it REALLY grossed me out!!! I had to stop reading... you've got a good grasp of internal dialogue, though...
Author's Response: Aw, I\'m so sorry that you had to stop reading . . . but I\'m glad you thought it had good dialogue. ~Lindsey :)
Summary: A boy. A girl. A problem. A complication. Several cliches. A resolution. A twist. The H/Hr ship that sails because all H/Hr ships have sunk. (Parody.)
Hahaha! I was confused for a minute, but it is a pretty funny spoof.
Author's Response: Thank you! I am glad I put a smile in your day. GhV
Summary: What does Bill see in Fleur Delacour? How does a girl nicknamed "Phlegm" win the heart of a man described as "hardworking and down-to-earth" -- the heart of a Weasley?
There is more to this woman than meets the eye.
Awww... that was good!!!
Author's Response: Thank you!
Summary: We know very little of Mr Ollivander, follow him for a day and see just how much more there is to him.
First place in the 2007 Spring Challenge, A Day In The Life category
Wow!!! That was so good!!! I love how you took a character that no one really thinks about and developed him so well. It was awesome, AND it made me laugh!!!
Author's Response: *Blushes profusely* Thank you so much, I definitely had fun writing it!
Summary: DH SPOILERS! Harry is so consumed with his career as an Auror that he loses touch with Ginny and their children until a letter arrives to help him remember what really matters. But is something sinister waiting out there to take it all away? An escape from Azkaban, the first in twenty years, stirs up Harry's worst fears from the past as those he loves are threatened.
Romance, mystery, and drama combine to make this a story you won't soon forget! Set one year before DH epilogue. Completely canon compliant. All reviews receive responses.
THE EPILOGUE IS UP! I don't know whether to laugh or cry as this story comes to an end, and Harry finally figures out where it's really at. (Thanks again to the amazing mods for your rapid-fire response!)
Yay! A happy ending (so far at least). I absolutely love this story, great job!
Author's Response: Thank you very much. I appreciate your comments and glad you\'ve enjoyed the story. There\'s an Epilogue still to come, so stay tuned.
Once again, so awesome! I like that you included all the name meanings; I knew a few of them, but it was still interesting. I also felt a little let down by the epilogue, too! I hope to see your next story up soon!
Author's Response: I\'m glad you enjoyed the name meanings. I debated whether or not to put that in there, but I\'ve always enjoyed reading things like that about Jo\'s characters on the Lexicon and elsewhere, so I thought, what the heck. I will be focusing on getting my Christmas story completed, hopefully before this site shuts down for the holidays (I\'m almost certain I\'ll be able to get it done in the next couple of weeks) so keep an eye out, okay? Thanks so much for your comments. Your reviews and readership mean a lot to me.
Are you sure you're not JK? Because this is really, really good! I've just read it all in one sitting and I can't wait for Chapter 12!!! Awesome job!
Author's Response: No, I\'m definitely not Jo Rowling. For one thing, I\'m American (can\'t you tell by the spelling?) though I\'m very flattered by the comparison. I\'m really glad you\'re enjoying the story. Chapter 12 is coming soon. Stay tuned!
Summary: A weekend trip to the mysterious Rose Cottage leads to Ginny's second pregnancy and Hermione's first. The Potters and Weasleys take on “The Next Great Adventure” as they anticipate the births of Albus Potter and Rose Weasley.
So, I finally couldn't stand it anymore and looked up this story on another site.
All I have to say is AMAZING!!! I noticed a while ago that someone else gave you a review that said something like, "Now I can pretend the HP world lives on" and that's exactly what I feel like! I hope you keep writing on here, and I really hope you come out with a story that's completely your own someday! If you do half as nice a job on your own story as you've done here, I'm sure it's bound to be a success!
Also, just want to compliment you on keeping everything *mostly* cannon. I think it shows commitment--I can't imagine keeping all those little details in order--which is marvelous. Besides, I like the people you've matched up non-cannon even better than those that JKR threw together!
Author's Response: I do have a dream of someday creating something original, but there are so many ideas competing with one another for attention that I haven\'t decided which one to single out first. Someday, perhaps, I hope, though my experiences as an editor and non-fiction writer have shown me that publishing is a business that eats its own young, and success is a relative term in that industry. But thank you for your encouragement. I\'m so glad you\'re enjoying the story. It\'s lovely to receive direct feedback from readers, and even lovelier to read such kind words of praise. Thanks!
Wow! Four new chapters since I last checked! I feel like Christmas has come early! ;)
I've read all your other stories, and I really like this one. (Although The Letter is still my favorite!)
I can't wait for the next chapter, great work!!!
Author's Response: MNFF seems to be on a weekend efficiency drive. It came as quite a shock to me too, let me tell you, especially after the long dry spell we\'ve experienced on this site. So anyway, Happy Christmas! The Letter is my favorite too, but that\'s mostly because it was so much easier to write. This one has certainly been much more challenging, but it deals with much deeper issues and is a lot more complex. Anyway, thanks for your comments. I\'ll get another chapter up soon.
This is a very evil way to end the chapter--I'd read it without the cliffhanger!
Here's hoping for another speedy update!!!
Author's Response: My bad! *hangs head in shame* The next chapter should be posted soon. Keep checking.
Summary: The day after the Last Battle as Ron counts his losses, Hermione reminds him what was worth fighting for in the first place.
Good job! Oh, and I LOVE Incubus, by the way, especially this song!
Author's Response: YAY FOR INCUBUS FANS! XD thanks for the review!
