Harry Potter and the Heart of the Hero. by Jeograph
Rated: 6th-7th Years [Reviews - 135]
Summary: Dumbledore is gone, or is he? Harry feels the weight of the world rests on his shoulders, but he is soon to learn that his brooding nature and desire to face his fate alone may be his greatest weakness. It is his emotions, or rather his capacity for emotion that makes him strong, and his relationships his greatest source of strength.
When the summer begins and he faces a fortnight with the Dursleys everything he knows, or rather thinks he knows comes into question. Can he... should he do this all alone? And is he anywhere near ready?
Hogwarts is to be re-opened, the Ministry officially endorsing it as the safest possible place to be. As his birthday approaches there are monumental surprises in store for Harry. Who is he really? And what about his family, who came before his mother and father? Why is the Potter name so famous, and yet so unknown?
Encouraged not to run off to face his fate he returns to Hogwarts for his final year, but surprises abound at the school as well.
Can Harry become the wizard he needs to be to face the Dark Lord? Will he let the people he respects and love really help him? And what of help from unexpected sources; sources he might never trust?
Yay! I love this chapter!
Author's Response: Thank you for your review and support.
Jeograph - what a wonderful alternative to DH, please keep up the fantastic writing!
Author's Response: I realize that I have been horribly slow lately. But rest assured I am still here and I intend to keep going. Wonderful comments like yours are always very encouraging, and i do thank you so much for taking the time to read and comment.
Take heart, brave gryffindor - you will still have many fans when you submit the next chapter! Please do not lose hope! I love your stories!

Crown of the North by Grace has Victory
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 59]
Summary: Two years after Voldemort’s fall, Remus Lupin plays at teaching, while Ariadne MacDougal prepares for a career in apothecarism. But what is the price of choosing what is right over what is easy? And is Caradoc Dearborn really dead?
Part II of The Moon-Cursers. Now updated to be DH-compatible.
Wonderful! But children...? If my guess is correct, she would have started to have children at fourteen or fifteen. Is this normal in the wizarding world and not to be considered odd? Anyhow, I love your stories. Each chapter keeps me coming back for more!
Author's Response: Dear Jander Fili, I am so pleased that you keep coming back for more! The wizarding Age of Consent is 17, and most wizards would complete NEWTs before marrying. So are you SURE you have surmised Veleta\'s situation correctly? Ariadne certainly finds the set-up odd. Regards, GhV
Oh my goodness! I adored how understated and lovely the wedding was! Ariadne is so headstrong in such a subtle way - I really admire her as a character. When will the next sequel be coming out? Also, is this the last that we'll see of Veleta?
Author's Response: Dear JF, Thanks for reviewing. Yes, the sweet Ariadne is extremely stubborn - I\'m glad you noticed that! You will see plenty more of Veleta, and I will post more when I have finished writing my lightweights. Regards, GhV
The Banebrewer by Grace has Victory
Rated: 6th-7th Years [Reviews - 13]
Summary: Wolfsbane Potion is illegal, but the illicit brewing continues. Ariadne Lupin can preserve the human mind of a werewolf, but can she reverse the mindset of a whole civilisation?
Part IV of The Moon-Cursers.
Grace, I was wondering if you could tell me which chapters specifically were updated to be DH-compliant? Thank you!
Author's Response: Oh dear, all of them! I added several episodes to the middle of \"Moons\", e.g. detailing exactly what Mulciber did to Mary Macdonald, tidying JKR\'s impossible timeline, taking more care with the DADA teachers. There is new or reworked material particularly in chapters 14-18 of \"Crown\" because I wasn\'t happy with the original structure of the plot. In \"Bride\" and \"Banebrewer\" I had to pull a secondary character (Hannah Abbott) because she is now officially a pure-blood. I replaced her with Terry Boot, who is a very different personality, so all of those scenes had to be reworked. I also changed the names of several characters, including all the Macmillan siblings. So many chapters ended up with different words in them that I just reloaded every single one. Does this tell you what you wanted to know?
Yes it does, very much. Thank you again!
Author's Response: ...
Grace! Oh my, this is a wonderful story! I have throroughly enjoyed the amazing journey you have taken Remus and Ariadne on. The previous chapter was incredibly difficult to get through, but this one makes it all okay, in the end. I see the story is not finished yet, do you have many more chapters to submit? And will there be any more novelas about Remus?
Author's Response: Dear Jander Fili, Thank you for your support throughout the whole epic. I am so glad you kept reading to the end. The story is actually finished, but I haven\'t marked it so because of the technical difficulty with chapter 9, which I still haven\'t been able to upload. I might write a one-shot to correct Remus\'s theology, but I don\'t have another novella in mind. Thank you for running with Remus, Ariadne and me through all of it. Regards, GhV

Hello Inverarity! This is a fantastic chapter. I love how Alexandra's emotional state is still very juvenile, yet her ability to critically think is highly developed for her age, likely due to the heavy tasks she has carried out so far. Keep up the good work!
Hello Inverarity! I'm so excited to read new AQ material! The first few chapters are excellent, as always, and I'm eagerly awaiting the next one.
