Which HP Kid Are You?
Well I finally decided to update my bio…
I’m 19 years old and I enjoy reading…a lot, my family would say that I’m addicted, and I guess I am. I absolutely love Harry Potter and my favorite one of the series, by far, is Deathly Hallows. My favorite characters are Ron and Ginny. Needless to say I’m a huge H/G shipper as well as R/Hr, although I have a soft spot for the Dramione type that I just recently noticed.
Recently I’ve also been hooked on the books by Stephanie Meyer: Twilight (which is my favorite form that series), New Moon, and Eclipse. Now I’m just waiting for the fourth one and hopefully Edward’s version of Twilight.
I have tried writing on 3 separate occasions, but I don’t get any farther than the first chapter before I run out of ideas. And only one out of these has been related to HP. Now however I started writing another story (non-HP as well) and so far I’ve written 2 chapters, and currently working on the 3rd (which is a major accomplishment considering my standards). I don’t plan on posting it up anywhere, this is purely for my enjoyment, but I would gladly email it out if anybody’s interested. I don’t pretend to be a great writer, but I sure try my best at it.
When I’m not reading or writing, I love spending time with my friends and family, watching movies (my favorite one right now is Order of the Phoenix), or playing videogames (I love playing Quidditch!)
So I guess I’m a member here only for reading and reviewing purposes, as well as betaing.
Summary: Hermione has just lost the love of her life in the Final Battle. To cope her parents send her off to France for a second chance. There she runs into someone she never thought she'd see again whose looking for a second chance too.
I just started reading this story because I wanted to see how it could be possible to have Hermione and Draco together (which, until know I didn’t think would make such a great story.) But I’m glad to say that this story is very believable and I really like it a lot. I mean , I disliked Draco from the beginning, but even though you can still see his arrogance here, there is also that part of him that is vulnerable and sometimes nice and you are extremely convincing on it. Anyway I really do hope you update soon! By the way the title of this chapter is so simple but so...what's the word...moving?...sentimental? Well I love it eitherway
Summary: Dumbledore is dead and Harry is left alone… or is he? An unexpected ally appears to help Harry in his quest to defeat Voldemort. But Harry is running out of time and Voldemort is pressing down hard. He’s determined to get rid of his last remaining obstacle, Harry Potter. Can Harry find all the Horcruxes before it is too late, even with a new ally? The story will include romance, adventure, mystery, murder, betrayal and much more. There will be also some unexpected twists. This story has been abandoned. See the finished version at HPFF!
I'm still wondering if I should trust Snape or not. I definately don't trust him in the HP books, but I'm undecided in your story...
Anyway this is a great story...can't wait for the next chapter!!
Author's Response: Yeah, Snape is a shifty character. You never know what he\'s going to do. That\'s why I love him so much. The unpreditability keeps you on the edge of your seat. Thanks for the review! I should be finishing up with the next chapter soon. :)
Let’s see, Snape’s Trial…If he gets off the hook I’m going to be mad that he didn’t get what he deserved, but if he gets punished who is going to train Harry? I mean I could care less what happens to him I’m more concerned about Harry getting ready to face Voldemort, and Snape seems to be the only one who can help him. Hmm…I’m not sure what I want to happen to him…Congratulations! You’ve managed to slightly change my mind about Snape in these last few chapters, than all the time and energy my friend has put in the last year to do just that!
Author's Response: ha ha ha, it worked! I can change a person\'s mind! Yeah, Snape\'s fate will become slightly more clear in chapter 28. Though, can we ever really know Snape and his destiny. I love his illusive character, but I promise by the end of the story his character will have his motives explained and his destiny revealed. Thanks for the review!
What?! We didn't get to know the outcome!...well I guess the title is Snape’s Trial not Snape’s Sentence, and nowhere is it implied that we were going to find out if he is found guilty or not…although it doesn’t look too good for Snape. Good chapter, can’t wait for the next one!
Author's Response: Look for Chapter 28 to find out what happens to Snape. :)
I understand why Snape would love Lily, although I don’t think so my self, but I highly doubt…or maybe its what I really want to believe, that Lily wouldn’t even have considered Snape in any way. You might have slightly changed my mind about him not being evil…but I still think he’s a slimy git, and I could care less if he’s happy or not. But I have to admit that this makes for an interesting twist, and a good reason why Dumbledore believed him. I really do hope Snape and Lily didn’t have any type of relationship, because that would devastate Harry (and me)…like he hasn’t gone through enough already, to know that his mum and Snape had feelings for each other…I think I got sick to my stomach too. Anyway I love how you wrote this chapter, at first I was lost as to what was going on and I thought I had missed something, but then you explained it very well. Can’t wait for the next one!
Author's Response: Snape is a mysterious charaacter. That is why I love to write about him. Anything can happen with him. I would also like to think that he does have a heart, or at least had one. As for Lily, I don\'t really think she ever was more than friends with Snape, but then who knows. Their relationship will become more clear in my story in chapter 30. Thanks for the review!
WHAT?! How can the people in the ministry just die like that? Wow this was a chapter full of surprises. They were able to find the fifth horcrux, although Neville had to risk his life for it. And thank you so much for clarifying the relationship Lily and Severus had, it put mine, and Harry’s mind, at ease about that whole situation. But the whole thing about the ministry is just mind-boggling! Please, please don’t let Harry be Voldemort’s secret weapon or anything of that sort. But I am wondering why nothing happened to Harry? Can’t wait for the next chapter!!
Author's Response: Dear Reader, I am writing to inform you that I will no longer be updating my story The Broken Soul on Mugglenet. This decision was a tough one, but I have decided that due to the unfriendliness of Mugglenet submission policies and my limited time schedule (I will be having a baby in a few months) this is necessary. I find it too much of a hassle to submit my chapter, wait for weeks on end to have it validated, and then have it rejected for very small details or have the chapter validated and not show as validated on the website. If the latter happens then the moderator has to send the error off to a coder to fix which can take a day to a week or more. I understand that Mugglenet is busy and that they have a lot of submissions to go through, but I don’t think it is fair for such long waits for the readers or myself. So I will be abandoning this story, but don’t get too upset because my story is posted on HPFF (and it’s completed!). So instead of messing with two websites, I will now only have to deal with one. If you would like to continue to read my story click, on the following link, which will take you to my author page http://www.harrypotterfanfiction.com/viewuser.php?showuid=62783. I apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause for you. I appreciate you as a reader and that is why I am emailing you to let you know of what will be happening. I hope to see you on HPFF! Cynthia (silverfox)
Wow, there were definitely places in the story where I was holding my breath without even realizing it. I’m just so glad Hermione is fine…she was really brave facing Dolohov…then again she is a Gryffindor. Let me tell you I already love Ron, but this chapter made me go crazier for him…he’s just wonderful! They got the horcrux back and on top of that the goblins joined them too, you can never have too many allies. Great chapter!
Author's Response: Ron is such a great character and I love him and Hermione as a duo. That is why I placed them as the main characters in this chapter. I thought they deserved some spotlight time. :)
Summary: A man from Interpol comes to question Harry Potter as part of a murder investigation. How will Harry react? And how will this affect his search for Lord Voldemort’s Horcruxes? Plus, the question we all want answered: What will happen with Ginny?
This story picks up immediately after HBP, and is very slightly AU. But hey, aren’t they all?
This was a really good chapter, Vernon got what he deserved (well maybe they were a little too nice with him…) and they destroyed another horcrux. I thought you did pretty well keeping the Dursleys in character regarding their present situation. I enjoyed this chapter very much although I would have liked a bit more Harry/Ginny time…but that’s just because I love fluff. I especially loved Hermione in this one, and that’s saying something because she usually doesn’t say things that make me think “You tell them Hermione!” but I’m glad to say that this time she did. I thought it was great when she tells them that they are the freaks, that was pure genius! And I agree with ginnyinlove that Harry should have cursed Vernon instead of Molly, was it because he didn’t want to arouse suspicions about him and Ginny? Regardless, it would have been perfectly in character for him to defend her, he is after all, a noble person...remember he has a saving-people thing. Anyway, great read, hope the next one comes soon!
Author's Response: Thanks very much! I\'m glad you enjoyed the chapter, and the... um... interaction between the Dursleys and everybody else. The fact that Molly was the one to curse Vernon is in no way a reflection on Harry. She just reacted a touch quicker than he did.
Wow, just when I think this week can’t get any better, here comes another great chapter! I loved it for so many reasons, but curse my limited time; I can’t tell you all I liked about it. So let me just tell you that I think it was great because you gave us 2 different battles in one chapter! The first with Harry and Voldemort, which in my opinion was just wonderful because with them its not so much about the complex curses and hexes they can throw at one another, but it’s also a battle of wits and courage and love on Harry’s part (not for the Dursleys of course). Even though there wasn’t a lot of action, there was this subtlety to it…we know they’re both powerful and I think its very nicely portrayed on this part of the chapter. Then there’s the second fight scene, and it’s great to see that they all know how to defend themselves rather well. I love the fact that Grawp and Fluffy came in too! Although when I read the part about fluffy ripping apart a Death Eater, I was forcibly reminded of when I was young and I saw two cats fighting over a mouse and they ripped it cleanly in half…suffice it to say that I don’t personally like cats anymore, or mice either. It was rewarding to read a chapter like this, and I can’t wait to see what happens when the Dursleys have to share living quarters with the Weasleys. It will be complete chaos but I trust Molly to keep those inconsiderate jerks in check. I know I said I had limited time but I just can’t help it! By the way my favorite quote was “Fuh-fee” I just thought that was hilarious!
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I think you probably enjoyed reading the same things I enjoyed writing. I\'ve wanted to have Grawp and Fluffy involved in a battle for a very long time, and I finally got a chance to do it. By the way, I chuckle every time I read, \"Fuh-fee.\" Hehe!
It almost feels as if we're graduating and I'm writing on your yearbook that It was great knowing you and that I wish you all the best...except that we will still be getting stories from you. I began reading fanfiction a while back and one of the first stories I read was this one and that's when I got addicted to reading fanfiction. So I guess I should thank you for that, Thanks for writing such great stories and taking the boredom out of my life...well alright out of work...all work and no play make ana go mad...lol sorry about that. But seriously, and this is a little secret, I would read you stories while at work because I had asolutely nothing to do and that's how I got hooked on this. Anyway, I loved the fact that Ginny killed (for lack of a better word) Voldy instead of Harry because it seems that there are very few stories with original ways of killing him off and this was one of those few so I give you props for that. It was really mean of you to make us think that Ginny was dying!!! But it was a great touch nonetheless. Speaking of great touches, having Hemione know everything but choosing to take out the knowledge from herself in order to protect the people she loves was wonderful, having Pierre and Virginia make another appearance and prank everybody was great too! And I have to say that I did find it believable that Dudley would start using magic, a bit farfetched but believable either way. I do have to admit that I would have loved a bit more fluff...but alas, we cant have every thing. Its been such a wonderful ride and I think I forgot to mention that I love your qudditch and action scenes (or maybe I did mention it...I don't remember, but I'll say it again) they are just so wonderfully written it almost makes me jealous!! Almost! You really are a talented writer and I'm looking forward to reading more from you! Have you thought of writing R/Hr or even Dramione? I would totally read any of those if you ever did. I love H/G and R/Hr but I also have a soft spot for Dramione. Anyway, great read as always and congratulations on writing such a long, wonderfully descriptive, imaginative, and enticing story!!
Author's Response: You know, that yearbook analogy is just about perfect; I feel that way too. I\'m flattered that I was able to help hook you into our little world here (Muahahahaha!). I\'m really glad that you enjoyed the way Voldy met his demise. The idea of having Ginny be the one to actually do it was what originally inspired this story, and it felt so good to finally get to write it. I tend to focus on H/G with R/Hr in the background, simply because that\'s the sort of plot ideas I always get. I can\'t really stomach Dramione, though, unless it\'s totally AU and Draco\'s a completely different person. Sorry. Anyway, thank you very much for reading and reviewing, and for sticking with me for so long.
Wow Harry is making up new spells!! That is impressive...well Harry is impressive anyway. I just wish he and Ginny could have had more time to spend together. This chapter was certainly worth the wait. Next one comming soon??
Author's Response: I\'m glad you\'re impressed with Harry. ;-) As for him and Ginny... their situation is very frustrating, but at the same time, they knew it would be when they decided to keep everything secret. Next chapter is in the queue.
Yay!! Another update! I liked this chapter very, very much because it had just enough fluff. I adored the Quidditch match, I thought you did a wonderful job, and having them call her Potter all through the game was a wonderful touch. It was a blast reading about them discussing Pierre and Harry telling Ron and Hermione that there is nothing between him and Ginny, that must be extremely hard for both. Needless to say the broom closet scene was my favorite! Gahh! I can’t wait for the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thank you! I\'m glad you enjoyed the bit o\' fluff before the action at the end. Next chapter is in the queue, so watch for it!
I only have three words for you LOVE THIS STORY!! Okay I lied, I have more than 3. This is a very ingenious story and I have to fight my self every time just to take my eyes off the computer screen, and not just with this story but also with A Past Reclaimed. I can’t wait to read the next chapter. Harry and Ginny will get to spend more time together right?? I hope we get to see more of Ron and Hermione’s relationship too!
Author's Response: Thank you! I\'m glad you enjoy my writing so much. I just submitted the next chapter early this morning, so I hope it will be up soon.
I knew it couldn’t be another warewolf! It just had to be Greyback! Finally! (well I really didn't know but for sure that's what I was hoping for!) Good chapter, I specially liked the fact that Ginny wasn’t upset with Harry (why should she?) and she set him straight about it too, nice!
Author's Response: Thanks! I\'m glad you approve of my choice of which werewolf to kill. I\'m also glad you liked Ginny, although she WAS mad at Harry -- but only because he was acting like an idiot. Ginny\'s always fun to write. :-)
OMG! OMG! No Ginny!! Wow this was one of the best chapters I’ve read form you ever! It was greatly jam-packed with action! I can’t believe Voldy imperioused Ginny! There has to be some way that Ginny fights back at the last minute and sends the killing curse to Voldy or somewhere else but not at Harry. Or better yet, have Harry be a horcrux after all so he won’t be killed. I know, I know, I’m just writing non-sense but I have to keep my hopes up! Harry just can’t die! This story has to have a happy ending!! Anyway, I thought it was a wonderful touch to have Harry yell that he loves her before she tried to kill him. And note I said ‘tried’ because she can’t actually kill him! I guess I have to be the weirdo here and say that I loved the cliffie, it was pure genius! Normally I would be sad to see a story I enjoy so much come to an end, but we still have Almost me Again, and if you have any more stories cooking up in that magnificent head of yours, then I’ll be looking forward to that as well. Again this was one of the greatest reads I’ve had and I’ll be waiting for the next one (which I see it has already been submitted YAY!!)
Author's Response: Thank you so much! You go right on keeping your hopes up until I either confirm or destroy them with the final chapter. ;-) I\'ve got one other story in the works that I haven\'t started posting yet. Hopefully you\'ll like it, although I think a lot of people are going to want to kill me for some of the things I plan to write in it. But that\'s still a ways off in the future. In the nearer future, I hope you enjoy the end of this story, and I look forward to hearing what you think.
Well Dumbledore does seem to fit the title of White Wizard...so I guess it's very possible that its him...but I'm not gonna guess anything and be let down if It's not him or have it be him and the surprise ruined. I'm not making much sense am I...it's cool I know what I mean...and if for some reason you got it too then welcome to the underpopulated club of people who understand my rantings. Although now that I reread what I just wrote its quite understandable...anyway long story short, cant wait for the next chapter to be validated!!!
P.S. Sorry if I made you feel like I was having a conversation with my self...I tend to do that a lot.
Author's Response: That does seem to be the consensus so far: Dumbledore, I mean. Of course, I would never dream of ruining the surprise by telling you in advance if you\'re right or not. ;-)
Ok so I started reading this chapter, which by the way was exactly what I wanted to read, and I’m thinking we’re finally going to find out if Dumbledore really is the White Wizard. But even though I was desperately trying to figure out how on earth can Dumbledore be back (I had a feeling it was polyjuce potion although there were times where you threw me off a bit), I kept getting distracted by the amazing fight between Aberforth and Voldemort which was surprising! Especially Bella and Molly, finally she gets what she deserves! That was great! Then I got to the part where Jarius duels with Snape and I kept thinking ‘I hope he doesn’t just use Avada Kedavra to kill Snape ‘cus he deserves way worse than that’ and to my utter delight they go at it muggle style! And with swords! Nothing beats that. So by now I’m thinking ‘ok now out with the whole Dumbledore thing’ and there goes Lupin kissing him which of course means its Tonks! Wow…this chapter was awesome!! But the cliffhanger…that was just mean!
By the way for anybody who reads the reviews before reading the chapter sorry about the spoilers…but shame on you! First you read the chapter, and then you read the reviews if you don’t want to read spoilers like this one!
(sorry for making it so long)
Author's Response: Thank you! I\'m so glad you enjoyed the chapter. Don\'t worry about the length of your response; there is nothing wrong with a long review. :-)
Yay!! There’s a fight coming up! It’s been quite a long time since you’ve given us a fight to read and I hope it will be worth the wait!...you are going to write about the fight right? Well Harry acted just the way he should have, the Dursleys might not deserve the help Harry is giving them, but that’s just the noble person he is. I have to admit that I didn’t think Petunia would ask Harry to help her, (that’s why I didn’t guess because I was sure I would get it wrong) good thing she did because that way you got to show us your version of why Petunia and Lily stopped talking. I hope that when Harry saves Vernon and Dudley (that is if you are kind enough to them) they will change the way they treat Harry, and apologize for everything they did to him when he was young….well I have to be optimistic right? But if you decide not to…we won’t loose much, but please don’t let any body of the Black Magic Club (I love that name!! and Lightning Warriors too!) get hurt. Great chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks for the lovely review. I\'m glad you\'re looking forward to the upcoming fight, and I hope I don\'t disappoint you. I look forward to reading your thoughts on the next chapter when it gets validated. :-)
Yay!! One more horcrux destroyed! I had a little difficulty believing how easy it was to destroy that one, but maybe it was the fact that it was an unknown spell…anyway the important thing is that they’re one step closer! And it was great that Harry and Ginny got to spend a little time together, as well as Hermione and Ron. I hope Jarius snaps out of it, I feel sorry for him but he definitely is nothing like Snape! He is a much better person!
Author's Response: Thank you! I agree that this Horcrux was pretty easy to destroy, but if the cup had tried to defend itself, Harry would have just sent the defensive spell back at it the way he did with the dagger, and it still would\'ve been easy. I\'m glad you liked the chapter, though, and I have to say I agree with you about Jarius. He let his desire for revenge consume him, and now he\'s got to learn to deal with that and move on.
Summary: When Harry graduates, he asks Ginny a question. Getting an unexpected answer, he's left to face real life alone. Finally, he must grow up, without Ginny at his side. Sequel to "To See You Through The Dark."
(I'm sorry I made this review so long)
I started reading To See You Through the Dark a few days ago and I completely fell in love with the story (I know…I know, it took me forever to find the it but I loved it…although the amount of people you killed off unnerved me! I have to say I had never expected that so many characters we know would get the axe!) Anyway so when I finished that one, you mentioned in the end that you were working on the sequel…which I thought “I have to read that one too!!” (although I was hoping that this one had already been completed because I get so impatient when I have to wait for updates. It’s my own fault though, I don’t blame anybody but myself because I get so caught up in the stories that I want to read them from start to finish in one sitting, so I set myself up for that.) Long story short, I can’t believe Ginny turned Harry down!! I love her…but what was she thinking! Poor Harry…he really, really loves her. I have mixed emotions with this story…it drives me mad that Ginny doesn’t seem to be jealous of Kyla and Harry, but I can’t get enough of it. This one for sure is going to be on my favorite stories list!
Author's Response: Don\'t worry about it. I\'m madly in love with long reviews that are well thought out and yours was. One of the biggest things I wanted to address in TSYTTD was that there are consequences to war and the biggest consequence is people you love die. I\'m sorry the sequel isn\'t completed online yet. I\'ve got it in notebook form but if I was smart I would have typed it while I was writing it. I haven\'t been too diligent with it, but I plan to get it finished, honest! I really hope you continue to enjoy it as I struggle to get it up. Who knows, maybe with summer coming I\'ll have a lot more time to get it done! Thanks for the review!
