Current WIP:
-Soleil Sanglant (Dark/Angsty)- I know I said I'd continue this right after the holidays, but....RL has taken over (as it unfortunately tends to do from time to time). I am writing, but I also have to type it up, which is a feat in itself, between my nearly illegible scrawls and cross-outs and my endless mistakes. I have very little time in which to do this, so I am extending the hiatus (which, again, does not mean I have stopped writing) until...mid-February, give or take. I don't anticipate it lasting this long, but it may, what with my insane schedule, which of course is my own fault.

The gorgeous banner is by Fresca/Colores- I truly cannot thank her enough. Isn't it just lovely? *squees*

Other WIPs:
-My Sweetest Downfall (Dramione)- Ok, I haven't started writing this, but I've been fleshing out the OC some. Once Soleil Sanglant is finished, I will devote all my free time (hah) and energy to this. It's going to be loosely based on Jane Eyre, one of my absolute favorite books. I've been positively itching to sit down and write it; I'm very excited about it.

-General Mystery Fic (no title as of yet)- I've got some basic ideas down- nothing remotely resembling a plot yet. Although I have no idea where I'm taking this, there's a lot of potential and plenty to work with. This will be a good deal more complicated than the others, so you can imagine how long it'll take me.

-The Sisters Black (Black sisters-centric trilogy, most likely romance)- This particular plotbunny is comatose at the moment- it's just there. I won't even begin to think about this until I've got everything else done. Read: very, very, VERY, impossibly foggy, distant future.

I'm sorry for the incredibly boring bio- I am absolutely terrible with this sort of thing! One of these days I'll make an attempt at appearing at least somewhat interesting...

Oh.Em.Gee. This is brilliant, I hope you know. Oh Merlin....*wipes tears of mirth streaming down cheeks* Five stars, perfect 10.00, two thumbs up, dingdingding! It's funny, you're the only author I've read so far who has actually managed to pull this sort of thing off. I have to say, this is Ballad-worthy. What's a Ballad, and how is my fic "ballad-worthy", you ask? Ahh, tis a very long story, but rest assured that it is the greatest honor I can give you. Loved it!

Did I like it? Like it? Hah. I loved it! This probably isn't news to you, but you can definitely write, and amazingly so! Ugh, I wish I had more time to read the rest of your story, but in any case, welcome to my favorites!

Author's Response: Wow :D. Thanks!

Happy [somewhat belated] birthday! I love your story, but I just have a few minor corrections to make about the Italian. I think you confused the voi form with the tu form; just remember that 'vostra' is plural, and that you can't use definite articles when using the possesive with family members, so it should be 'tua moglie', 'non hai un'idea che cosa sto dicendo a te'...and I think that's it. Except I think when you said 'buono' you meant 'good', as in OK, in which case you would say 'va bene'. The rest is fine as far as I can tell. Sorry, I don't mean to be annoying about it! I'm guessing you speak Italian- ne anch'io! (allora, non correntemente!) Non ricordo l'ultima volta che parlavo l'italiano con qualcuno che veramente sapeva la lingua! If you don't speak Italian..*blushes*..sorry! It's just that I don't really get the chance to speak it with someone besides my parents or nonni...anyway...happy birthday! It's really refreshing to read a story that doesn't have me scrambling for a French-English dictionary!

Author's Response: Thanks for the corrections! I don\'t speak Italian, unfortunately, and all the translations were done through a website; I should have put the disclaimer at the beginning of the chapter, but it slipped my mind. Anyway, I\'m excited to have someone here who does speak it! How cool! And no, it\'s not annoying at all and you have no reason to be embarrassed. : ) Thanks for the review and for the birthday shout out! Haha... I really appreciate it!

Chapter One - Destroyer of Pretty Girls

Reviewer: Mnemone Radford Signed
Date: 08/04/07 Title: Chapter 2: Fashion Disaster

Dear Luna,

I have long suffered from being very freckly, and I still haven't resigned myself to the fact. I became frustrated with my appearance and decided to take it upon myself to fix it and get rid of my freckles once and for all, since my dear mother refused to take me to St. Mungo's. Alas, if only she had...

Now, I've never been very good at Charms, let alone inventing new ones (I think you can guess where this is going). As it is, I have no idea whether the spell I chose actually existed and I just messed it up (pronunciation, wand movement, or otherwise), or if it was actually supposed to yield such drastically different results than I had expected (well, hoped for).
You see, I had somehow magicked my freckles to form words and write out my current thoughts for the world to see. This is especially incovenient because I'm a bit of a liar. You'd think I'd try to stop now that it was pointless and would be rather embarassing, but I'm finding it rather hard to break the habit, despite the fact that my face has become some giant, screwed-up news ticker. What's worse is that my lovely mother still won't take me to St. Mungo's. She seems to find my plight very amusing, and says it serves me right for trying to mess around with magic. I got grounded for calling her some bad names inside my head (therefore scrawled across my face in, unfortunately, very legible handwriting) when she told me this. Oh Luna, what in Merlin's name am I to do?
Help me!

The Curtain Call by Amelia Bedelia

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: James and Lily spend their summers together producing plays, though neither are happy about the presence of the other. With James, as the set designer, and Lily, as the actress, tensions run high.

Date: 05/19/07 Title: Chapter 4: James' Accident

Theatre + James/Lily= awesomeness!!!!!!!!! (yes, I am a theatre geek- and being a geek is a good thing in my opinion.) I love your story, and even though we just got this chapter, I'm dying for the next one! Keep up the great work!

Author's Response: Awesomeness is right! :D And there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a geek... all it means is that, basically, you\'re obsessed with something. And being obsessed with theater is way better than obsessing over anything else... except, maybe, Harry Potter. :D Thank you so much for the review! Yours truly, Amelia Bedelia

O Ye of Little Faith by coppercurls

I really liked your story! Probably the best one-shot I've ever read. I agree with everyone else who commented- a sequel sounds good to me...;)
Great job, keep on writing!

Author's Response: Thank you very much for the support. I can\'t promise anything since I didn\'t have a sequal in mind originally, but I am doing my best to come up with something!

A Labyrinth of the Mind by dumbledorefluertwins

Wow. This was great- I love your interpretation of the cover and of what's to come. I too hope to see the Department of Mysteries again; I'd rather it be that than Gringotts. This is really impressive- I don't know that I could encompass the most anticipated parts of Deathly Hallows in a few pages, and so well. And usually I don't like stories told in first person, present tense, but if they're all like this, I wouldn't mind!Awesome job!

Author's Response: Wow, thank you for the lovely review - I\'d love it if all reviews were like this! The interpretation of the cover of DH came when I was stuck on a prompt and, by chance, it was on the tv. So, yeah, it all came to me. ;) ~Evie

Then Somebody Bends by lucilla_pauie

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: -- Now an entry to the Hermione Granger Big Bang: Completion forthcoming in 2011 (no updates 'til then)

Life is so fickle.

Full of bends and surprises. Just when you think everything is settled and quiet, something arises, something that makes you feel what you never dreamed you would feel, and face what you don’t even realize you need to face.

And just as unexpectedly, these bends arch to a happy ending...if we tweak them.

Sequel to ‘To Love Life Again’. Let me take you back to Ireland with Andrei and Hermione, but will they stay? Something, somebody, is calling them to England.

Andrei becomes Draco Malfoy again. Sparks and verbal sparring fly again. All because of one little girl called Lucie.

Hermione Granger never does anything halfway. And Draco is a Slytherin in touch with his instinct of using all his options for his ends.

They understand each other. And with this kind of understanding, comes some confusions and delusions. But just when you seem so certain, then somebody bends...

I love this story to death! "To Love Life Again" was also great, but for some reason, this one strikes my fancy even more. I know everyone has said this already, but I hope you know how true it is- you write so naturally! I don't believe I've read many, if any, Dramiones (or other fics, for that matter!) with this level of...*tries to think of right word* *fails miserably*...naturalness. The dialogue, their actions- it all flows and fits perfectly. I've read canon ships with a ton more OOCness! Despite the admitted improbability of Draco and Hermione falling in love (a fact that causes me much pain to acknowledge, being an avid Dramione reader), you have made this romance subtle and fresh and completely credible. It's a lovely change of pace from the usual trite, rote plots and dull, flat descriptions. So kudos to you! *runs over to read your new Dramione*

-The Order of the Ravenclaw House Elves-

Author's Response: Wow, Emily, thank you so much! Loving this story to death is high praise, if I may say so myself! And this natural-ness thingy, I\'ll probably have to append this soon as blurb in my summary. I\'m not conscious about it as I go along, but it\'s amazing and lovely that it\'s what you my beloved readers see and love. *huggles*

The Phoenix of the Order: A Potterized Phantom of the Opera Soundtrack! by Schmerg_The_Impaler

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Having spoofed the lovely album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," I decided to do another one of my favourite albums: THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA SOUNDTRACK! And through Andrew Lloyd Webber's yummy songs, this spoof tells the story of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix."

So here it is, guys! (And girls, and koalas, and lampreys, and shrubs and parameciums and stuff.)

This is more a spoof of the soundtrack than the actual play... though if anyone records themself singing any of these songs, I would fall over from sheer awesomeness attack.

ZOMG- my life is complete. I'm dead serious. I love, love, love, LOVE Phantom! And this is freaking awesome! I sang my way through the whole thing, albeit rather badly because I would start cracking up mid-note. I absolutely cannot wait for Act II!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I hope that you don\'t lose all will to live now that you\'ve seen this, though! ^_^ Every time I sing along to the real \"Phantom\" soundtrack, I keep accidentally lapsing into this.

Ring A Ring O' Roses by gallivant

Rated: Professors •

A dangerous quest to thwart a magical weapon of mass destruction has devastating personal consequences, when a race to save the world, becomes a race to save themselves...

It's awfully hypocritical of me, considering the amount of time it takes me to write and such, but, please, I hope you update soon! This is a wonderful first chapter! Great opening line- I was pulled in immediately, and was not disappointed in the least. You've clearly put a lot of thought into their careers and also into the Dark Flux issue. What I especially liked was that you did not portray Ron, as many Dramione authors unfortunately do, as an unfeeling, selfish boor in contrast with a suddenly gentle and sophisticated Malfoy. I appreciated that you made Ron and Hermione very much in love, as they should be, and that Draco 'isn't aging well'. XD Thank you, thank you for not falling into that classic (*cough*trite*cough*) rut of most Dramiones. Again, wonderful writing, and I can't wait to read your next chapter!

Author's Response: Thanks for your kind review. It is much appreciated. I finished chapter 2 last week (it's currently with a BETA) and will upload the story in the next couple of days for validation. I already have much of Chapter 3 worked out, so hopefully that would follow fairly soon(ish) after. There's a lot more to come, believe me, and it's quite a complex plot that I have been ruminating and refining for some time ... so hopefully it will be entertaining. I'm glad you liked my portrayal of Ron here. I don't think Ron is a terrible character at all, and I've no doubt that Hermione and Ron are in love. But ... I also want to portray what can happen when a marriage starts to go wrong, when things get stale. Neither party is blameless and yet neither party is wholly to blame. How Draco plays a part in this, and what happens to them all, of course, remains to be seen. However, my main focus here is to tell a character-focused, exciting and suspenseful plot-driven story (I hope!) - not just a 'romance' (and certainly NOT in the 'slushy' sense, that's for sure!)
