Summary: ...Hermione smiled, glancing up into her new husband's face. "It's beautiful out here," she whispered. "Yes," Harry replied softly, staring into his wife's eyes intently, "it certainly is." (One Shot)
Wow! I was a bit surprised when this was a memory. What a beautiful lament! You captured her sadness well.
Summary: The reign of Voldermort comes to an end, and with it ends the prestige and power Lucius Malfoy once had in the Wizarding World. In order to regain the respect of his fellow wizards and to make them believe that he has turned over a new leaf (which he actually hasn't) and has graciously accepted muggles and Mudbloods, Lucius asks Hermione, a Mudblood, to marry his son, Draco, a pure-blood. Obviously, they both refuse, but Lucius isn't going to give up easily. After all, he wants his status back. He still has a few tricks up his sleeve and is determined to play match-maker. What happens next is a series of events that serve only to bring Hermione and Draco closer, both literally and figuratively speaking. Read to find out how this one unseemly proposal causes absolute chaos in their lives! THIS STORY IS NOT HBP and DH COMPATIBLE! Hey all! Check out my personal info for the expected date of the next update. =)
I had forgotten some of this story, but I just read it again and really enjoyed it.
I loved the romantic build up in this chaper.
Summary: For the rest of the Ministry, the interdepartmental challenge was merely a failed attempt to restore trust between workers. But for Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger, it was the catalyst for an unexpected relationship built on passionate letters, concealed identities, and secret meetings – and the beginning of an end that neither of them could ever have imagined possible, not even in their wildest dreams.
Post-war. Based somewhat on the story of the Phantom of the Opera. Also contains R/Hr, so don't read if you can't stomach that ship.
Status: Complete. Thanks for reading, everyone!
I love your stories! ATW is my favorite fan fiction. Congratulations on being a senior!
Summary: Hermione is slowly losing her marbles and develops an unhealthy obsession with Snape – to his horror. The task of saving what is left of her sanity falls upon him of all people. What's wrong with Hermione and can he help her?
I hope we find out what's "wrong" with Hermione soon. I love the playfulness of Dumbledore contrasted with the grouchiness of Snape.
Summary: “You were the first thing they took from me,” whispered Sirius. “My only happy memory. I haven’t thought of you in fourteen years.”
“And I’ve had to think about you everyday. For fourteen years,” said Miriam, darkly. Her voice trembled. “I win.”
Miriam Daniels had lost everything she’d ever loved the day Sirius Black was sentenced to a life in Azkaban. Now, years later, she needs to find the strength to accept a past drastically different from the one that she had just begun to acknowledge as truth. Will the most celebrated Healer in England be able to nurse back to health a broken heart and shattered dreams? Or will a secret kept locked away for fourteen years drive Miriam even further away from the man who once adored her?
A/N: A/R with aspects of MWPP-era-ness! I hope you like it!
NEW CHAPTER! I really hope you enjoy it.
Loving this story! I cannot wait for the next chapter! Sooooooooooo good!
Summary: Hermione goes back in time with one mission: to kill Tom Riddle before he ever comes to power. A difficult task, correct? An impossible one, she realizes, as a love between them grows stronger than anything she has ever known. Now Hermione has a choice to make. Will she condemn the Wizarding world to almost certain destruction, or will she take the life of the one boy she has ever loved?
Summary: The fact that opposites attract might be one reason for Ron and Hermione’s new endearment towards each other. By the time the Hogwarts Express pulls into Hogsmeade Station for another year at Hogwarts, every witch and wizard on the train knew something had changed drastically between the two friends. Harry and Ginny on the other hand decide to keep their relationship a secret because of a “dream” Harry has about ‘You Know Who.’ If their secret love is discovered by the wrong people it could possibly cost Harry and Ginny their lives.
4 - houses?
7 - horcruxes, books, years at school, etc.
I loved how you ended this!
Author's Response: good thought process but no. thanks for the review!
Summary: *COMPLETED!*What happens when you put a hopelessly "romantic" man-hussy and a girl with a soft spot for bedtime activities (not THOSE activities, silly!) together in a dark bedroom? Well, I don't happen to know either, so I suppose we'll find out together, won't we? Come with me, Tia C. Spencer, on a lovely ride through the countryside... er, lakeside... okay, so we won't actually be riding NEXT to anything, but it will be lovely, I promise you that. How can it not be, with me as your illustrious (and quite possibly mad) companion?
And no, contrary to beliefs very likely impressed upon you by this summary, I'm not a gormless prat.
Well... not entirely.
Loved the story -- can't believe it's over!
Summary: “Imperius… Werewolves…You-Know-Who…” The last words of a dying man force Remus Lupin into a dangerous investigation at the infamous Feral Institute. Sequel to Oblivious; pre-reading would be useful but it isn’t vital.
I hope this isn't the end! I love this story!
Yea! But let Tonks and Remus be ok!
I thought telling this chapter from Kingsley's point of view was brilliant.
Summary: A new person comes into Harry's life; one who has ties to his parents, and to his enemies. The story starts in the summer after 3rd year and becomes AU (but just barely) at that point. Pairings: SBOC, a smattering of HPHG, some RLNT later on...
Hungry for GOOD fan fiction? Give this story a try! It will satisfy the avid fan fiction reader's most voracious appetite. It is chock full of the basic fan fiction food groups: It's got drama, romance, angst, snarky banter, mystery, Quidditch, humor, new love, old love rekindled, introspection, action...
So go on, sample a little bit... I KNOW you won't walk away feeling empty!
I was glad to see an update. I really like your story. I liked the scene with Snape at the end...you captured him well.
Summary: James Potter: Marauder. Lily Evans: Prefect. They're both seventh years at Hogwarts. They're also about to have a pretty interesting year--complete with a few detentions, pranks, confusion, and laughter--in which they get through school, make some trouble and maybe, just maybe, sort out their feelings for each other.
Thanks to all you who have made it possible for this story to be in the Top Tens. It was a very happy moment when I first saw my story on the list, and I love being able to go back and see it there now. Still. Yay!
Throughout the latter half of 2010, and the first half of 2011, I re-edited this story. The changes were mostly to fix stray (and annoying) grammar and spelling errors, but also to rework some plot points in an effort to stay truer to canon. I also updated the style; having written this story so long ago, my writing has definitely developed (and I would say gotten better), so I edited to reflect that. (I apologize for the errors that were in the story before all this editing. I found them immensely distressing when I reread my chapters. Heartbreaking, really.)
Big “thank yous” go to the three people who helped edit/nitpick the first edition of this novel: violagirl, fairiesandcream, and Omagus.
And yes, this story is up on Fanficition.net under the penname: Io.Sono.Emilia.
Of course, as a disclaimer, I’m not JK Rowling. The Potterverse does not belong to me, but I am in it and love it.
I just discovered your story today, and I really enjoyed reading it. I have come to care about the new characters that you've created -- especially Sam and Monica [I just imagine them one day meeting Harry and telling him about his parents:)]
I also like how you have Lily blush -- I can picture the color creeping into her face and a smile appearing on her lips when James says something romantic to her.
I am interested to see what else comes of Snape -- I've been waiting for him to do something since Stacey's death. He's been a bit quiet.
I also love the foreshadowing of Peter the Death Eater as well as the chapter where you let him have a flash of wisdom -- too often we fanfiction writers describe him as a slimy rat with few redeeming qualities. There had to be a reason that the other Marauders liked him, right? Anyway, you made him somewhat likeable and for that you deserve a prize!
I am looking forward to your next post.
Thanks, again, your story was a great way to spend a lazy summer day!
Author's Response: Ooh... You\'re smart. I have been planning something of the story... Stick around; maybe you\'ll see your name in the Author\'s Note. :-)
Not much else comes of Snape, sorry. :-/ I guess I probably should\'ve written a bit more about him. Hmm... I\'ll try to add that in.
Hehe. I\'m glad you like that. I, too, felt that Peter needed a bit of wisdom; however, in the newly edited versions, I have eliminated all allusions to Peter being a Death Eater. Sorry. I\'m glad you loved it though. OOH! A PRIZE?!?! WHERE WHERE WHERE!?!?! Heheh. You\'re review is all I need. :-D
I\"m glad you liked it so much. Reading a well-written (And long) review it a splendid way to spend a lazy summer night too!
Summary: James, with a little help from friends Felix Felicis and Sirius, asks Lily a question one morning....
Summary: Romance for three couples when Blaise and Luna use Shakespearean styled matchmaking to hook up Ginny and Draco. There's Much Ado about...something!
Nominated for a Quicksilver Quill for Best Romance-Non Canon 2007, 2008, and 2009. In 2010 mods changed the rules (they got tired of the same fics being nominated ^_~) so no more QQ hopes, but that's okay. No proof is needed that Draco/Ginny = love.
* Written before the HBP, this tale presents an alternate sixth year in which Dumbledore lives, Draco is more than a foil to Harry, and Blaise Zabini is a girl. I hope readers who ship Draco/Ginny will enjoy the story which includes dancing with faeries, Celtic and Norse mythology, school holidays in London and Spain, and loads of fantasy and romance. "Is this a kissing book?" (to quote the Princess Bride) Yes, it is. *
(Warnings were added for safety, due to brief allusions in later chapters, not graphic content.)
I love the quote from Hamlet --doubt that the stars are fire -- it is my favorite.
Author's Response: Yay! You liked the quote! ^_^
I love that you post so frequently.
Author's Response: If I was writing and posting, once a week, tops, lol, but editing is a much easier task! :)
I loved Ron and Draco teaming up. The squid part was funny too.
Author's Response: The enemy of my enemy is my friend. How Ron and Draco would stare in horror to think they might actually become semi-friendly one day! :D Glad you liked the squid part. I wanted to show Harry isn\'t just a moody git, lol.
This is one of your best chapters.
Author's Response: Thank you! I hope you think the next one\'s even better! ;)
Summary: After the downfall of Voldemort, Hermione decides to take a break and return to the Muggle world. Deciding to go on a Muggle cruise, Hermione realizes that it was the biggest mistake of her life. Now, she's stuck on a boat with her worst enemy. Fights and bickering continue to take place between them and maybe a little something else too...
Hermione makes new friends and meets up with an old friend, Jessie: an arrogant girl who treats Hermione like dirt and desperately tries to seek Draco's attention. (Slightly AU)
