Hello, readers and authors, alike,

Welcome to my authors page! I, for those of you who do not know me, and Claire. You might know me from the forums, of which I have been a member since April 2007.

I love to act and sing, and have taken the lead in a school musical. I am known around my high school as the "Harry Potter Expert", and writer. Gryffindor is my house on the boards( Toaster pride!).

I have one dog, but have had several fish that sadly expired.

I love musicals, though my favorite has to be either Guys and Dolls or the songs from Chicago. I am an utter Broadway drama queen, and my iPod is filled with showtunes. Any thoughts on musicals? PM me!

My favorite character in Harry Potter is Tom Riddle, though I do have a crush on Harry. My other favorites include, but are not limited to, Neville, Luna, Ginny, Sirius, Remus, and Lily.

I don't have an die-hard ships that I support, but have several that I favor.

But, my favorite have to be: Tom/Minerva, Remus/Tonks, Ron/Luna, Harry/Luna, Draco/Ginny, and Neville/Luna. As you can see, I love Luna related ships.

Favorite musicals: Guys and Dolls, The Drowsy Chaperone, Mary Poppins, Into the Woods, Chicago, A Wonderful Town, A Chorus Line, Peter Pan, and Annie Get Your Gun!

My favorite books: Harry Potter(obviously!), the Cherub series, the Twilight series, anything by Mary Higgins Clark, Sherlock Holmes, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Pearl, and the Bible.

My Favorite Singers/Bands: Daughtry, Queen, Mika, Maroon 5, Fall Out Boy, Taylor Swift, Nickelback, Black Eyed Peas, Kenny Chesney(*drool*), Bon Jovi

Hello Sunray!

I enjoyed this fic quite a lot, for the unique plotline, the characterization, and just your writing in general. I haven't seen very many Nearly-Headless-Nick fics, or many about the Hogwarts ghosts at all. I did read one about the Grey Lady, though it's name escapes me. The language that you used to describe the execution was chilling, and I liked the whole mood that it put off.

Though, I would have liked more detail about the actual execution, rather than Nick walking along the path. Yes, I think that it was needed, but I didn't like that it was the main focus of the story. I think that Nick took on a sort of Neville-like turn here, when he's doubting his role as a Gryffindor, and I liked some parts about that.

But, I have some reasons to doubt that the loud-mouth Nick that we see in Chamber of Secrets would have come from a Neville-like human. I would have liked if there had been more of a, well, transformation as he "grew" and changed as a ghost. Another thing, though not as noticable, was your tense.

I would have liked it in a present tense, and in 2nd person. For example, He feels the blade press against his neck, or something along those lines. The way that you had it was nice, but I would have liked to see you take an extra challenge into account.

I loved the thoughts that went through Nick's head. The chops of the executioner's axe taking over his thoughts was a wonderful touch, and one of the things that made me feel like I was really watching him. When he finally realize's he is dead, I would have liked somemore explanation there. What does it feel like? The section where is is walking down the paths was wonderful descriptively and metaphorically. I found a conflicting statement, where Nick doesn't feel frightened, but then he doubts himself as a Gryffindor.

Overall, I liked your story, and some of what I said about might be preference more than your skill. I enjoyed reading about a character that we don't see so often, and your writing is quite nice.

/Claire

Author's Response: Heya Claire! Forst off - thank you so much for this a-m-azing review! Secondly, I have to say I would never have gotten to it if it werent for Challenge a Gryff - never in a lifetime! Third - I agree with many of you statements, but this is one of my earlier, inexperienced works - these days I would deffinatyl write it in 2nd person (which is \'you\', btw). Anyhows, I\'m glad you liked it!

Oooo! I liked it a lot! I don't normally see poetry and a "story" in the same fic. This topic is used so often, but I think you made it cute and modern, really telling about teenage love. It seems like you know what it's like, as I think you really delved into Lily's head.

I see him now
And wonder why
I convinced myself
I hated this guy.

That was the best verse, because it was funny and really sweet. I hate to think about what will happen to them later, and almost cry. It was also a surprise when she was going to give it to James. I don't really picture Lily doing that, but I guess it depends on her age, doesn't it?

I loved the fic! You have a great sense of humor, and tie it in very well throughout the fic. It was very original, and a good piece of writing. The modern science was used very creatively. You also tied in great writing into a blog! Nobody had ever thought of that before, have they?

Author's Response: Oh, thank you so much! It\'s always great to see new reviewers... and the best compliment you can get for a piece of fanfiction (the least original kind of writing) is for it to be called \'original!\'

Hi Anna!
This fic was very good. You explored Tom's character under a whole different light. Normally, he seems to not care about any holidays, much less ones that the Headmaster shares, but this actually showed him making fun of it, hehe.

I don't know if you meant to do this, but here:
Silly antics, and he usually dismissed such foolish thoughts, whether they were his own or someone else’s. But he could not help feeling so, as he looked at his followers gathered around him and Christopher. He could not stop the rising excitement, the rising feeling that this was his fate.

A holiday miracle, he thought dryly, and a wry smile curved his lips.

Does that remind you of the Grinch at all? That might have just given me a plot bunny! I think that you also took the challenge differently than the rest of the entries. This one was more dark, and I loved it!

How creative, and keep on writing Riddle! *Claire*

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the nice review, Claire! And, HAHA, I guess he does sort of sound like the Grinch. I\'d never really thought about it in that way. Now I\'m going to picture him with green skin forevermore . . . ;) Anyway, thanks again!

When little Janey Weasley starts life at Hogwarts, the mystery is still unsolved. On a whim, and desperate for recognition, she writes home to her father, asking how it came to be. When Ron replies with the true story, a chain of events begins that might just be the making of the next true Hogwarts mischief legend ...

Hello Teresa!

I loved this poem. It was so full of meaning that I didn't expect to be portrayed in a 164-word poem. Not many authors can make something so beautiful in so little words, but you pulled it off beautifully. Your beginning line was so grasping that I couldn't help but keep on reading.

One thing that I didn't like as much was each stanza being one sentence. It felt like the commas separated the piece too much, interupting the flow. It would have been easier to read, in my opinion, if you separated each stanza into two sentences, and then changed the appropriate words, beginnings, etc.

I loved your choice of wording throughout. It was brilliant, and gave me a good feeling of grief and loneliness. But, for some reason, I think that I would have been able to feel Lupin's pain even more if the verses didn't rhyme. It seemed to make Lupin feel like he was just trying to find the right word, and that his feelings didn't come natural in the form of a poem. If you are trying to make it even darker and angsty-er, then I would try to make it look as effortless as possible.

At this point, I don't think that Lupin would have cared if it had rhymed or not. He is about to kill himself, and has just lost the person he loved the most in the world. I loved that you made him say that he was losing the fight. That was a wonderful touch, and I can picture Lupin just breaking away among Tonk's death.

Overall, wonderful poem. It left me feeling very sad, so don't get me wrong when you read my suggestions. I loved it, there are just some minor tips to make it even better and even more full of feeling. I know that you love Remus/Tonks, and you displayed it wonderfully in the form of a poem.

/Claire

Ok, I have a lot to say about this one. First of all, let me start off by saying it was good. There were several things I liked, and a few things I didn't. Which would you like to hear first? Well, I'll start with bad. There were a few spelling mistakes, mostly in names. A few example are here.

Albus Pervical Wolfric BrianDumbledore…Goodbye.

If you look in the books, it is spelled Wulfric.

Another one that isn't as much spelling as it is improper canon, is this.

Lily Evans Potter and James Harry Potter…Goodbye

James's middle name isn't Harry, according to the lexicon. Then, there names would be very alike.

I also felt that you could have chosen a better song, but this one was o.k. There are several songs dealing with the concept of saying goodbye.

Now for the good things! I'm excited! O.k., I loved the references you made of the characters.

Dumbledore:No, the worst part…the worst bit was knowing that there would never be anymore lemon drops, or wisdom, or half-moon spectacles, or snowy beards…or redemption.
That was one of my favorite lines in the whole piece. Great job! The sentence was so..beautiful! I also loved this:

Harry had never even gotten the chance to thank him for…everything. (for keeping his father’s cloak, for saving his life, for holding his secrets, for teaching him magic, for always being there, and gazing into Harry’s eyes with love only a father could have for a son) None of that crazy old man’s mistakes mattered anymore.

Amazing! It almost made my cry, to tell you the truth. Making me cry is a hard thing to do..but you did it. You showed a great connection with your readers.

Author's Response: WOW! thank you so much for taking the time to give such a long and well-thought review. I\'ll try to get in there and fix up some of the spelling/grammer errors you\'ve pointed out. As for the song, in hindsigh I am very much aware of the seemingly poor choice in lyrics. But when this song first appered, I was simply smitten with it and it was the initial insperation for this piece (which is seeming a little wordy re-reading it now). I imagined this song as being played while this scene was acted out with dark undertones of coor to emphesis the erie, music-box elegance of this song. I really felt that this song had a truly deep and ringing feeling that lingers with the listener, much how I imagined Harry Potter would linger in the hearts and minds of every witch and wizard. And try not cry too hard, afterall, Harry does get to say hello those he loves, once he finally grows strong and wise enough to be able to say goodbye. Thank you so much for the compliments! I can\'t tell you enough how much it means to me that you complimented my \'connection\' with my readers! I\'m glad you appreciated my work...thanx agian! ~The Tainted One
