As the Wizarding World Turns by Canis Contentis
Rated: 6th-7th Years [Reviews - 260]
Summary: Ever wonder what the world of Harry Potter would be like as a soap opera? Me neither – until now, that is. Set in Harry’s 6th year, think of this as the parts of the Half Blood Prince that JKR didn’t want us to see. If you're into unconventional ships, this one's for you! Behold… As the Wizarding World Turns
Episode 9 is up!
*****Excerpt from a later chapter*****
"Haven’t you heard the rumors about her – one date Weasley.”
“One date what!?” Harry stared at Hermione dumfounded. He turned his head towards Ginny who once again started snogging Dean. Dean’s hands wandered to his girlfriend’s bum as she pulled the lower half of his body closer. “Hmm… makes sense,” he admitted.
“Anytime she brings up that sort of thing, I try to act like I have loads of experience too, but actually I have no idea what I’m talking about.”
“But what about you and Krum?” Harry asked, still visibly uncomfortable about their conversation.
“Oooh big deal. So we kissed a couple times. That means I must be a demon in the sack,” Hermione answered sarcastically. “Look, I was thinking…” Hermione started to blush. “I need to find someone I know to you know… practice with.”
Another good chapter.
i loved how luna went (unknowinglly) totally against Voldemort's plan. so funny

“I’ll always protect you.”
This is a very good chapter, but Sirius in the beginning just didn't seem like the Sirius I knew. But towards the end I started to recognize him again. And congrats on this story FINALLY getting validated!
Author's Response: Thanks! Sirius wasn\'t always the Sirius he is in the books (or at least I like to think characters develop.)
I just wanted to say that I abosolutley love this story. My favorite James/Lily fic had always been Veiled Revalations by Erikthephantom, but this one is quickly surpassing it. ;)
I also love all your other stories, because they have so much depth and detail, which not alot of other stories have. It's difficult to impress me, but you sure have.
Keep up the good work!
~Chelsey~
Author's Response: Thanks so much, reviews like this just make my day!
I do have one complaint, though. (sorry)
The only problem I have is Sirius. He just seems to...rude.
You're probably going somewhere with this, so I won't complain too much, but it would be nice to see the joking Sirius we all know and love.
~Chelsey~
Author's Response: Erm . . . well . . . I\'m wondering how much to say here . . . eh, well, you\'ll see for yourself later.
You know you're popular when you already have ten reviews and the chapter isn't even up yet. But it is getting kind of ridiculous, I will agree, as your stories are my favorites and like the only ones I read on this site.
Author's Response: I\'m glad my stories are you favorites! That always makes me happy to read -- it helps get rid of some of the frustration of the mods taking forever to validate the chapter!
I have to say, after reading Deathly Hallows, I think I love this story even more. I was and still am a huge James/Lily supporter, and after the whole Snape/Lily thing was revealed, I got so mad at how people were bashing James, saying how he could never love her as much as Snape, etc. But I disagree. I think james loved her just as much, if not more than snape did, and i am glad that there is a story that shows that, even if it is a little AU. So don't beat yourself up too bad, because it's still an amazing story
Author's Response: Thanks very much! I disagree wholeheartedly with the idea that James couldn\'t love Lily as much as Snape. And of course, no where in the seventh book does it actually say Lily and Snape were a couple -- just friends!
The explanation was very satisfying, thank you, but I wish we didn't have to wait so long! Update soon please, and on your other stories as well! (Especially The Pursuit :)
Author's Response: I\'m glad you thought so, thanks for the review!
That's What You Do For Your Friends by Dragon_Warrior

James: Clever, crafty, and Hogwarts' main source of mischief. Head Boy.
Lily hates James, James knows not what to think of Lily, but when they must work together to ultimately protect the lives of their friends, who knows what can happen?
I just found this story and I think it's really good, but i have one question. Why didn't Lily know the Marauders until her second year since they're in the same house and year?
Other than that, though, I really enjoyed it and will continue reading
~Chelsey~
Author's Response: I dunno, I guess maybe they didn\'t really stand out until second year? Creative license? :) Nice catch, and thanks for reading.

*Quote from The Epilogue*
Suddenly Harry was kissing her as if he couldn’t resist the temptation. There was a kind of frenzy to the kiss at first, a kind of desperate need, but it melted into something soft and sweet and gentle, a promise of a future when kisses would never be limited. When they broke apart he rested his forehead on hers, sprinkling a few affectionate butterfly kisses across her face. “I love you,” he murmured.
You said that something really bad would happen next chapter? What is it? Is Ginny pregnant with Draco's child? Cuz that would be the worst.
Anyways, it was amazing as always. I especially loved the "Voldemort of the good guys" bit.
Update soon
Author's Response: That would be awful! But I\'m not going to tell you anything ;) Thanks for the review, I\'m glad you like that part!
You are an evil, evil person. I hope you know that. How could you do this to us? I can barely contain myself. you better have the next chapter up very very soon or someone will get angry (i.e. me)
Author's Response: I am, I am, I know. I\'ll just have to update super-duper quick to make up for it!
OMG after reading the seventh book, i just can't believe how spot on you were! Well, except for the fact that Snape is actually a good guy that, is.
Author's Response: There were a few things in common, you\'re right. The seventh book was really great though, wasn\'t it?! Thanks for the review!
So I just came upon this story and let me tell you that it is simply amazing. You are a wonderful author and I love all you stories. Keep up the good work
Author's Response: Thank you so much!
i agree with sweetbee, what were you thinking? anyways, i am very glad you decided to keep writing this one, because it is my favorite out of your stories. and you shouldn't feel so bad about being AU, there WAS a 19 year gap we don't know anything about, and at least you got the pairings and the first name of harry and ginny's child right! I would feel proud if I were you.
Author's Response: Thanks, the reassurance always helps! :)
Wow.
The Snape loved Lily theory certainly is a heartbreaking one, isn't it? But it makes perfect sense, and I loved the way you showed how hurt Snape was by it
Author's Response: Yeah, I suppose he\'s a human too. Thanks for the review.

"Oh, I can so die happy now!" -Sirius Potter
This was the first story of yours that i read (which got me to love you, by the way) and im really sad that it's over.
I thought the ending was superb, and while i also don't think a sequel is necessary, a one shot about what happens to Lily would be most welcome! ;)
Thanks for the amazing read,
~Chelsey~
*off to read another of your stories*
Author's Response: Thanks very much, I\'m glad you liked how it ended and you think it works well without the sequel!

AWWWWW. such a cute chapter
Author's Response: Thank you! I\'m glad you liked how cute it was... cause that\'s what I wanted you to think! :D
Thanks for the review!
Yours truly,
Amelia Bedelia
Finally they kissed! It's a shame that it had to end the way it did though. But now at least Lily knows how she feels about him. This chapter was very well worth the wait, but I don't think I can wait for the next one!
Oh, and by the way, I totally called that Jimmy was a wizard. Go me!
Author's Response: Yes, the end is a shame... but they kissed! I\'m glad you figured out Jimmy, though! :D\r\n\r\nThanks for reviewing!\r\n\r\nYours truly,\r\nAmelia Bedelia
What Lies Within by j4fun
Rated: 6th-7th Years [Reviews - 181]
Summary: This story is post HBP. The funeral service has ended and students are headed home aboard the Hogwarts Express. Most everyone is still stunned over the events of the last several days. Our trio is no exception. Harry would really prefer to close his eyes and just disappear for a bit. Unfortunately, he doesn't have that luxury. There is so much more for him to do, so much more for him to figure out. Time is running out and things have never seemed so near impossible. Harry has to find and destroy the remaining Horcruxes, and then face his greatest nemesis. Can he protect those he loves? Can he protect himself? Can he meet his ultimate destiny?
While we wait for the release of Deathly Hallows, I thought it would be fun to see how far my own imagination would take me. All of it, of course, has been inspired by Rowling's beloved magical world.
Note: No DH references are included. Chapters 1 - 25 were written, with 1 - 20 posted before the release of DH, and I delayed reading DH until the final chapters were written.
Enjoy.
So I just found this story and read all 13 chapters in one sitting because i found it so enthralling. i actually found a book 7 fic that i liked! I love how you put so much detail in your story, and how you really think things through. It really sounds like something Rowling herself could have written, and that is about the biggest compliment i can give.
Keep up the good work, and update soon!
~Chelsey~
Author's Response: Hi Chelsey,
Thanks so much for reading all the chapters and for your kind words. I\'m extremely flattered by the compliment. Stay tuned. There\'s much more coming. ...and I love the user name, by the way (smile).
