maybe i'll write something, someday. we'll see. for now, i'm just here to read a bit (ok, a lot, as for right now i'm rather addicted. *sobs*) and to leave some reviews for you people.

oh yes, and since i said i'm the cart lady and all, just call if you want some sugary sustenance. in a purely innocent, non-double entendre way. alright, i'm shutting up now.

The Epic Tale of the Hogwarts Food-fight by Gin_Drinka

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: "Some mistakes are too much fun to make just once."

After Lily Evans, Head Girl of Hogwarts, starts a food-fight with James Potter, Head Boy of Hogwarts, they are both given detention for the rest of the year, and are assigned a 'detention journal', which the staff say will help to settle their 'overwhelming and disturbing differences'. We have come across Lily's journal; her take on why the whole affair ever started, her intriguing relationship with one ‘supreme git of the galaxy’, the extents to which she will go for revenge and where it will lead her...

"And if for some unknown reason you come across this, Potter, and the paragraph above does not manage to penetrate your unusually thick head and convince you of my stupendous dislike of you, I hope the following sentence helps: I HATE YOU!"

Author's Response: he, it had never occured to me either, but when it did I just had to write about it.

2010: Ahaa, God, I just took another look at this story and, uh...the only defense I have is that I was a lot younger when I wrote it. Whew.

The Summer of Ninety Seven by SevenAndMoreToGo

For is a crazy universe where the real and literary worlds coexist - and the only person who hasn't read book 6 is none other than - Lord Voldemort!

Warning: severe OOCness

And what do readers say about it?

"HAHAHAHAHAHA! This is amazing! I love stories about Voldemort, and this one definitely does him justice. You have a wonderful sense of humour..."

mmm pie... platform pi...
^not a constructive review. at all.

but i did like the fiery spiders bit..that seems to remind me of something (large globules of sarcasm roll down this post).

Author's Response: Umm...I don\'t seem to have understood this post too well. I\'m glad you liked the fiery spiders bit..i thought it quite lame. And by the way, Pi here doesn\'t mean the \"pie\" as in \"apple pie\" but the mathematical pi which is equal to 3.142857 or 22/7; which going by the logic behind platform 9 3/4 should be somewhere between platforms 3 and 4!! Sorry, but being an engineering student, I simply couldn\'t resist pressing in a mathematical joke too!

i'm enjoying the story! please continue on... i think much of your writing is true to j.k.'s style, which i guess is a compliment if you meant to do it that way. and ti also means you're fuelling my addiction. shame on you. :)

Author's Response: I\'m deeply sorry, insanitea lol Thanks for the review, though, I\'m really glad you\'re enjoying the story so far!

Spell Checker by MollyCoddles

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: After the war, Snape is on sabbatical and Remus is filling in for DADA. Wading through scrolls of assignments, he begins to suspect one particular essay is wifely mischief managed.
Reviewer: insanitea Signed
Date: 01/09/07 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

i enjoyed lupin's clever corrections. if snape writes that much criticism on each essay, no wonder he needs so many bottles of red ink!
...and if this takes place after HBP, it's also funny to say snape is just going on a "sabbatical" for the time being...

Author's Response: And no wonder Snape seems a little cranky sometimes - he probably suffers from hand cramps and carpal tunnel syndrome! ;) Yes, this is post-war era, so Snape is taking some time off... Thanks for reading and reviewing!!

Things Aren't Always Black and White by padfootsgirl1981

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
2009 QSQs: Runner-up: Best Romance - Other Character Story

Add together one ladies' man, one Quidditch player, one werewolf, and one soon-to-be traitor. Then, mix in one imaginative idiot, one fiery redhead, one clever Ravenclaw, and one blonde artist. Stir counterclockwise until trouble occurs, and you are dealing with one of the best-loved group of friends in Hogwarts history. Follow the story of the four Marauders and four equally troublesome girls. See them deal with their first encounters of love, sorrow, heartache… and Death Eaters. How will these future Order members cope with the ordeals that life throws at them? Will love blossom in what was once thought a highly unlikely place? What do you do when the person you care about most in the world doesn’t seem to notice you at all? Will a well-kept secret shatter the foundations of a seven-year friendship? Follow the lives of these friends through their last year at school to the dramatic final battle with Lord Voldemort two decades later.

Warnings are for later chapters, and any sexual situations are very minor.

Chapter Twenty Two: "The Snakes Strike" is in the queue. Excerpt:

Perfume filled his nostrils as Emma walked passed and Rosier’s gaze lingered on her bare, pale legs as the group headed outdoors. “Don’t you just love summer?” he inquired of Regulus, a hungry sneer lighting his face.

“This is ridiculous,” Regulus announced in a furious whisper, “we’re never going to get them alone!”

“Have faith, Black,” commanded Rosier smoothly. “Girls are well renowned for their desire for girly chats. I’m sure they’ll slip off the shackles of their chaperones soon enough.”

this [story] sounds fun! keep at it. your OCs seem interesting. and i'm guessing from the title that it's *just a "bit* about kristy and sirius... :)

Author's Response: Wow thanks! I\'m glad you like my OCs as I was really dreading that people would hate them. *Looks shifty at the mention of Kirsty and Sirius* Thanks for the review, I will try and update soon!

great dream sequences, putting percy in an interesting role, and interactions between everyone. i can picture it all quite clearly and all the lewis carrollisms make it even better. a new twist on the chess conceit that could have turned out poorly and tired, but did not. i'm looking forward to the next chapter!

Fallen by StaceyLC

Rated: 6th-7th Years •

It’s easy to fall in, to lose yourself. You may think you’ve not strayed too deeply into that gaping maw of death and despair until you look back up from the hole and can no longer see the light. And then… then it is too late. You will be truly gone.

Voldy Therapy by PadfootBaby

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: A psychiatrist unexpectedly shows up on Voldemort’s doorstep one day and claims to be his therapist. A series of frightening and quite disturbing subjects are soon covered, including sunbathing, treacherous followers, unicorns, names, the hippie era, evil bunny rabbits, and hair. After each session, work becomes increasingly frustrating for Voldemort, until he realizes that the therapy has taken away his love for killing things. He angrily attempts to return to the life he used to have, but torturing Harry Potter and his dorky little friends doesn’t seem quite as fun as it used to...
Culminates in the final... er... battle? between Lord Voldemort and Harry.
Nominated for the 2007 Quicksilver Quills! R&R - and have fun!!!

this looks amusing so far! from wormtail's confusion over what to do with visitors down to the mental image of nagini drinking coca-cola (which was the idea that finally made me laugh out loud), this was quite good. thanks, and keep at it!

Author's Response: The confusion idea actually belonged to my great beta, Winged Artemis, and I really liked it. I actually put the Coca-Cola thing in and didn\'t think it was very funny, but... ok! Whatever makes people laugh, I\'m good with it! Thank you for the review, and Chapter 2 should be up soon!!

What Lies Within by j4fun

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: This story is post HBP. The funeral service has ended and students are headed home aboard the Hogwarts Express. Most everyone is still stunned over the events of the last several days. Our trio is no exception. Harry would really prefer to close his eyes and just disappear for a bit. Unfortunately, he doesn't have that luxury. There is so much more for him to do, so much more for him to figure out. Time is running out and things have never seemed so near impossible. Harry has to find and destroy the remaining Horcruxes, and then face his greatest nemesis. Can he protect those he loves? Can he protect himself? Can he meet his ultimate destiny?

While we wait for the release of Deathly Hallows, I thought it would be fun to see how far my own imagination would take me. All of it, of course, has been inspired by Rowling's beloved magical world.

Note: No DH references are included. Chapters 1 - 25 were written, with 1 - 20 posted before the release of DH, and I delayed reading DH until the final chapters were written.
