maybe i'll write something, someday. we'll see. for now, i'm just here to read a bit (ok, a lot, as for right now i'm rather addicted. *sobs*) and to leave some reviews for you people.

oh yes, and since i said i'm the cart lady and all, just call if you want some sugary sustenance. in a purely innocent, non-double entendre way. alright, i'm shutting up now.

Who's Messing With My Head? by Mellowdrama

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • 24 Reviews
Summary: Something's eating at Harry on Privet Drive. Dudley seems to have achieved the impossible, while our insecure teenage hero begins having the weirdest dreams about two girls he only thinks of as friends... or does he? A zany satire of shipping with a little fluff mixed in.

Harry Potter and the Legacy of the Founders by VoldemortsPatronus

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • 636 Reviews
Summary: The war is on and the only person with the power to stop Voldemort's second reign of terror is sulking alone in a cold, dark room. The unexpected arrival of an old school chum in Privet Drive jolts him to action, however, as Harry begins his most exciting year at Hogwarts. Year 6 will include a visit to the ancient village of Godric's Hollow; a first hand account of the 1000 year old quarrel that ripped Hogwarts apart; a Fred and George-style farewell to a certain ex-Minister of Magic; and the discovery of the Half-Blood Prince, a mysterious figure who holds the key to winning the war...

(And, as J.K. says, what's life without a little romance?)

your description of the cave/tree is quite vivid... and of course i've enjoyed the rest of the story as well.. just wanted to let you know that your readers appreciate the details you include.

he found it! yes! i'm actually thrilled, and once again, ron is right (i think?) when you least expect it!

Author's Response: Yeah, I thought it\'d be a fun change to actually have Ron be right every once in a while.

Summary: "Be careful what you wish for," the old adage goes. So what happens when Hogwarts is under a spell where what you say is what you get?

Chappie 14 is UP! And while it is the end, let us not be sad, but instead read the insanity that has driven so many to review and nearly wet themsleves with delight.

“I didn’t know a wizard’s mere presence could start a spell,” Snape muttered to Dumbledore.

“Oh it can’t,” explained Dumbledore. “Turns out he’s not technically a wizard. He just makes weird things happen.”

“Then why did you hire him?” asked McGonagall incredulously.

“Well, he pulled a yak out of a top hat. It seemed impressive at the time.”

aah, i love it.

Author's Response: Yep, ya gotta love Dumbles.

this story has been really hilarious so far, and random, but not so random that there's no reason or, dare i say it, subtlety to it. anyway, i'm enjoying it. but instead of actually saying anything useful, i also wanted to give a little "yay!" at the barenaked ladies reference. so..yay!

Author's Response: Oh, the \"not a real fur coat, that\'s cruel\" line? Yeah, I love that song. I also love that people love my random hilarity. *warm fuzzies!*

Curse of the Reapers by deanine

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • 308 Reviews Past Featured Story
Summary: A different sort of alternate universe... It is a world under the thumb of an ancient emperor. Muggle society has been oppressed beyond recognition. Wizards rule over all, their only laws defined by power. This is the story of a rebellion, a family, a traitor, and the long road that leads home at last.

this is one amazing story. i've read it pretty much straight through, not bothering to leave reveiws on old chapters. there are so many things i like about it, so maybe i'll just save time by telling you about one thing: the excerpts of "textbooks" at the start of each chapter. it is interesting to see the foreshadowing, the background, and clues in these passages. thanks for a disturbingly captivating piece of writing. please keep it up.

Author's Response: I\'m so happy you\'ve enjoyed the story. Thanks. :)

this is, without question, the weirdest story i've read so far on mnff...that actually has a plot, in which details work together, albeit toward an outrageous, OOC/out of control goal. it's grown on me, as i've obsessively read through the chapters... thanks for writing! and please keep at it.

Author's Response: that may have been the nicest review i\'ve gotten on here so far:) thank you very much!

The Salem Witch Trials by FullofLife

i'm glad you could fit the ergot theory in.. i read a science fiction about that a few years ago, and so it's funny to think here that the muggle scientists are wrong again!

i've probably gone insane, but did harry just transfigure himself into a puppy to get food, and that get..erm.."AK'd"? wow, i'd better be proven hideously wrong in the next chapter! :-)

Author's Response: Whoa! Do you really think I\'d kill Harry so... simply? Do you think I\'d kill Harry at all? :D I\'m PRETTY sure you\'ll be proven wrong ASAP.

that was very well-written and all...but, Ron! nooo...
and i guess now harry will have to suffer a bit longer before he goes back?

Symphony for Quartet by Tinn Tam

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • 271 Reviews
Summary:

Winner of the QuickSilver Quills Award, categ. Best Marauder Era.

What did being a Marauder truly mean?... Let's just say that some tunes cannot be played by a lone musician; and those four's lives were certainly not soloists' scores. In class or in detention, in Quidditch matches or full-moon wanderings, fleeing before monsters or confronting dark wizards, they wrote, measure after measure, their own eight-handed piece.

Messrs Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs, are proud to present a Symphony for Quartet.

among all the other aspects of this story, i especially like your portrayal of peter; it's sympathetic and shows a good side of him rarely seen in a "fanworld" of abusers... of course i can't forgive him for what he does later, but as you've obviously seen, he hasn't done it yet!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review, and I wholeheartedly agree!

A Tale of Two Matchmakers by Kerichi

Rated: 6th-7th Years • 1387 Reviews
Summary: Romance for three couples when Blaise and Luna use Shakespearean styled matchmaking to hook up Ginny and Draco. There's Much Ado about...something!

Nominated for a Quicksilver Quill for Best Romance-Non Canon 2007, 2008, and 2009. In 2010 mods changed the rules (they got tired of the same fics being nominated ^_~) so no more QQ hopes, but that's okay. No proof is needed that Draco/Ginny = love.

* Written before the HBP, this tale presents an alternate sixth year in which Dumbledore lives, Draco is more than a foil to Harry, and Blaise Zabini is a girl. I hope readers who ship Draco/Ginny will enjoy the story which includes dancing with faeries, Celtic and Norse mythology, school holidays in London and Spain, and loads of fantasy and romance. "Is this a kissing book?" (to quote the Princess Bride) Yes, it is. *

(Warnings were added for safety, due to brief allusions in later chapters, not graphic content.)

that was fun! i'm really getting into this story in spite of my canonical biases, and i look forward to each new installment. and i was wondering if you're ending it with sixth year, because though i'm definitely enjoying it, it is getting rather long... (or maybe it will never end! *throws head back and cackles*)

Author's Response: LOL at \'canonical biases\'. This story exists in a different dimension of the Potterverse, where book six is disregarded, and, like the Phantom of the Opera sings, \'the truth is what it ought to be....\' :D

Chapter 50 is the last chapter, and ends in the summer, with the Scooby Gang trying to solve a mystery, and two sets of love-birds...well, you\'ll see! ^_~
