I love the Harry Potter books. I even sort of maybe very probably might like the films (I think), even though they left out Peeves. John Williams is a genius - I was sad when he stopped doing the music. Patrick Doyle is great - just not John Williams!
I love "Moments of Bliss" by Moonymaniac, it is well worth checking out.
The Dursley Descendent by krumflies11392
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 202]
Summary: Dudley Dursley gets married to a wonderful wife and has two perfect sons. Everything seems to be perfect in his life until an unexpected letter arrives at his doorstep- his son is a wizard! Is Dudley going to have to relive his dreaded childhood?
Dear Fans,
I know that I have not been on Mugglenet FanFic in SEVERAL months and I am sorry. These past months and year have been so crazy, hectic, and frustrating there has been no time for DD. I am sad to tell that I will not be finishing DD unless a random amount of freetime appears.
Instead of leaving my fans to a cliff-hanger, I might be writing an ending chapter to summarize how I planned to finish DD. I am so sorry for all my fans! I appreciate your time in reading and reviewing- you guys are wonderful! 200 reviews! Thanks to my fans!

I wonder about Stanley! Toads and green slime - he sounds like he will be Sorted into Slytherin! I can't wait to find out...
Author's Response: Lukcy guess... you were correct!
Love the Potters, and Sirius. On to the next chapter...
Author's Response: Thank you!
Getting exciting! I love all your descriptions, such as the robes smelling like the new sofa!
Author's Response: Thanks! Creating a sensous image is the key to a description.
Yes! I was right, and he is in Slytherin! This is such a good story. I do like the way that Harry and Ginny can't have a normal life any more because of their notoriety. Sad, but rings very true.
Author's Response: Thank you! I hope you will enjoy the upcoming drama and twists.
Noooo! that was the last chapter so far! I have stuck you on my favourites again, so hopefully there will be an update soon.
Author's Response: Thanks! I am sorry I have not updated in a while- this chapter was hard to write!
Very funny. This is my favourite sentence, “It’s not one of those dreams that is going to lure you to save somebody, like the ones about Sirius?” I thought that was classic. I am already very sad for Shawn.
Author's Response: I agree, I like that sentence too!
Author's Response: I agree, I like that sentence too!
Poor Dudley! Although I must say he is a much better parent than Vernon was. Is Shawn a wizard as well? You mentioned flames coming out of his eyes in the last chapter, but here it is Stanley recieving the letter...
Author's Response: You will see... the thrid chapter is in the queue! Thanks for reviewing!

I am so glad you put up the next chapter. This story is very intriguing - Ron is the last person one would suspect of having a secret friend. You have them very well in character. I am looking forward to the next chapter!
The Dark Lord's Blog by Schmerg_The_Impaler
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 1352]
Summary: What does Lord Voldemort do in his spare time? Well, that's an excellent question. Who would have known that the Dark Lord has a blog? (He also has a loyal following of readers, most of whom are Death Eaters and who post their comments.) Voldemort dispenses advice on everything from murder methods to germ protection to Power Rangers to shoes, and gives an account of the life of an evil overlord. But is he posting too much personal information online? And will Harry read it and find out more about the Dark Lord than Voldemort ever intended? Read and see.
WARNING: Extremely OOC behaviour from almost all.
RUNNER-UP in the 2007 Quicksilver Quills Awards for Best Humour fic! Also nominated like 21 times, because apparently my readers are as insane as I am!
Wonderful... Off to read your next story...
Author's Response: Thanks! Your reviews are making me so happy!
Angry Black Words by Subtledagger
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 3]
Summary: ‘The scene plays in my mind, the same everyday;
these angry black words that I simply can’t say.’
Draco tries to come to terms with his role in the death of Dumbledore. With no one to talk to and no one to comfort him, he can at least purge himself of his guilt and fear even if no one else will ever read it…
I do like the way his dreams bleed into waking. That just got me. I love poetry, but can't write it for the life of me, so I am very impressed. I am putting this on my favourites list.
Daylight by Subtledagger
Rated: Professors [Reviews - 13]
Summary: It was his one chance at redemption, his last opportunity to see the daylight in the darkness that he felt abandoned in.
Set in the fifth year at Hogwarts, Draco finds someone who he can share his deepest insecurities with; the unfortunate, untalented, Neville Longbottom. In the potions lessons that Harry wanted to forget, Draco starts to believe that he might not be fated to a life as an irredeemable Death Eater. But hope comes at a price, and when it is gone, the fall often leaves you thinking you will never see daylight again.
I really liked this pairing, and thought it worked very well. I hope you do a sequel at some stage.
Draco's Trick-or-Treat by Schmerg_The_Impaler
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 88]
Summary: Three-year-old Draco goes trick-or-treating for the first time. His mother takes the opportunity to teach him some lessons and Malfoy family values that she believes will be important to her son later in life. This depiction of Draco is VASTLY different from the version of him that I write in "The Dark Lord's Blog."
Ridiculously short one-shot.
What a wonderful child, how quickly he learns! I am sure Narcissa is very proud of him. I thought the "sweet childish voice" that he uses gave a disturbing effect and gave some extra bite to the ending.
Author's Response: Thank you! Yeah, Draco\'s a bright little kid... it\'d be interesting to see how he\'d turn out growing up with, say, the Weasleys.
The Ballad of Lucius Malfoy: An Unappealing Appeal by Schmerg_The_Impaler
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 63]
Summary: Lucius Malfoy's appealing to the Wizengamot after being caught in the Department of Mysteries, trying to convince them that he's not evil.
Quite silly, really.
Brilliant! Have you ever written a pantomime?
Author's Response: Er, not a pantomime, per se, but I\'ve written many skits and plays, since I\'m into theatre! (I\'m in my seventeenth play right now, and I\'m fourteen years old.)
To Be Or Nott To Be by Schmerg_The_Impaler
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 57]
Summary: Theodore Nott has never had much respect for anyone but himself. But after being summoned by Lord Voldemort to join the Death Eaters, his world turns upside down, and he finds himself questioning everything, including his own values and beliefs. Darkish, but with surprisingly light and fluffy bits, kind of like my Dad's pancakes or a truly hideous dress that my Mum once bought for me.
Written by Schmerg_The_Impaler from Hufflepuff House for the Gauntlet's 3rd run. Whoot!
Never read a story about Theodore Nott before, and this one was a gem. I loved it. You are a really good writer, and I have thoroughly enjoyed hiding from the children and reading your fiction! (Needed some time to myself!) One-shots are so difficult, and you have everything in this one yet it is still fluid and well put together.
Author's Response: Thanks very much! This is personally my favourite fanfiction that I\'ve written, thus far, though it doesn\'t receive much reader attention.
Lord Voldemort... and Bob? by Schmerg_The_Impaler
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 99]
Summary: For Lord Voldemort, life is going swell, and everything is juuust peachy... until a ghostly visitor arrives. EXTRAORDINARILY silly.
EDIT: For some bizarre reason that I can't fully comprehend, this story WON the "Things that Go Bump In The Night" challenge in the Winter's Tale Challenge.
Excellent! I think this is really good, and someone should hire you to do Monty Python type scripts. I enjoyed it immensely.
Author's Response: Hey, thanks very much! I am on the improv team and am the world\'s biggest Monty Python fan, so that pretty much made my... life!
Broken Hearts by emmaholloway
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 20]
Summary: Ginny has a dilemma. Harry wont wake up and being his wife it is up to Ginny to decide whether to leave him to sleep in hope of a miracle, or take a chance that could end in death.
She loves him, but is this all that is effecting her decision?
Well... I was going to read your story and review, since you were so nice as to read all of mine, and then I was going to write some more of my fic, but now I am too depressed. Sob, sob. And how could Ginny let the money go to the ministry? They were so horrible to Harry. I would have left it to Hogwarts.
You are very good at getting your reader to believe one thing is going to happen and then twist the ending. Well done! Can't wait to read your next fic.
Author's Response: well we are both in the same boat now so neither of us can complain. I am so glad you liked it. I am actually working on a prequel to this story which will be longer and hopefully better. I feel more confident now that ive got one accepted. I am just about to post the first chapter. im very excited. thanks again. Emma x x x
How Ironic, Mr. Malfoy by Schmerg_The_Impaler
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 123]
Summary: Lucius Malfoy is most infamous for being excessively proud of his ancestry and for his disdain for Muggle-borns. But what if he received a letter that changed everything? Takes place during OotP, and it's AU.
Contains snippets of humour.
For the "Dreams" challenge in the fanfiction beta boards... I am Schmerg_The_Impaler of Hufflepuff House.
But does Alexander MacHamish come into money??? That might pad the anguish a bit for poor old Lucius! Also I doubt whether the Dark Lord's soul is resting, pieces or no pieces.
What a comuppance! Very funny. Is this a one shot, or are you writing a companion piece for Draco? If so I would love to read it...
Author's Response: Hmmm... interesting thought... I think Lucius/Alexander came into his inheritance at the age of 17 and got even more stuff after his father died because, again, his father NEVER knew that he wasn\'t his biological son.
There will be a second (and possibly third) chapter to this story... but oddly enough, I haven\'t even thought about Draco. That WOULD be an interesting companion piece. Draco as a halfblood, hmmm... and then there\'s Narcissa: \"I MARRIED A WHAT?!\"

Author's Response: Double post!

Author's Response: I stand corrected-- triple post!
Wonderful! I must admit that I was a bit taken aback at first about the darkness that seemed to be creeping in, as I worried that your humor (which I look forward to) might become less frequent. But then he woke up. Excellent story.
Author's Response: *Does a little dance* Thank you! I love Lucius, and sometimes, I feel like I have to write darkish stories about my favourite characters (although my silliest yet should be up sometime in March-- the sequel to The Dark Lord\'s Blog.)
