I am a potter fanatic who lives in the Western US. I am a Harry/Someone-who-isn't-totally-off-their-rocker and Remus/Hermione shipper, but I really am fond of all the ships (except Voldemort/Wormtail, that really freaks me out!!)
I am also archived at:
The Petulant Poetess
If you enjoy my work please check me out at my other sites, which are updated much faster than this one. Thanks!
Their Death-Marked Love: Completed! Updates should be regular. Please DO NOT leave reviews simply saying "validate!!!". Not only is it annoying, but I do not have to power to simply click a button and have every chapter accepted by the mods. It is a more complex system than that.
Special Notice: Chapter Four is curently in violation of MNFF's guidelines. The story contains a relationship that is illegal in the U.S. but not in Britain. The mods are figuring out the logistics, and so the chapter will either come a bit delayed or not at all. Keep hope and think happy thoughts for me!
Beautiful ending!! And the use of "magic" to describe the kiss wasn't corny at all. Nice work
This story is so great! I really like how everything is unfolding, and the house is just brilliant. I'm working on my own fan fic just now and yours is a great inspiration to us Harry/Ginny writers! Keep up the great work...
Excerpt: Harry woke up with a start. He couldn't remember what he had dreamt about, but he knew it hadn't been a good dream - sweat made his hair cling to his forehead and his pyjamas clung to his body like a homeless person would cling on to a lamp post in a hurricane.
I read the twister scene alone in my study and I lauged so loudly it was reverberating around the walls, I even got to the point of hee-hawing in a way reminicent of a donkey due to lack of breath. I also appreciate the Horse and Hound magazine reference, in addition to the character of Lucius. this story is frigging hilarious.
Author's Response: Lol, I\'m glad you laughed so much you sounded like a donkey :) Thank you very much, Levicorpus!
ARGH! CLIFFHANGER! I THINK I'M GOING TO PASS OUT!!!!!
This story is beautifully crafted. I especially enjoyed how fantastically you wrote Sirius' inner monolouge and remus' speech was beautiful as well.
If only there were more writers like you around.... sheesh.
Author's Response: Sirius\'s inner monologue was just pure fun to write and verbalizing Remus\'s inner anguish was an equal challenge. I\'m glad you enjoyed it and I\'m flattered by the comment. Thank you!
I LOVE this story.
OMG. FAVORITE. FIC. EVER.
oh, I would beg for more, but I'll let you off the hook due to that fabulous ending!
I knew he'd be in ravenclaw, I have always thought of that as the midpoint of gryffindor and slytherin
I am madly in love with this story, please, update soon lest I have symptoms of withdrawl from addiction!
Oh! Such a perfect ending! I hate to ask this, being an author myself, the question is nearly forbidden, but do you have a sequel in mind? I thought that this was a great story, and I hate to see it end!
Author's Response: Haven\'t thought about it yet. I was ready for this one to end - a year in the making!! I may do a sequel, but it will be a while. Thanks for reading!!
agh! He's so perfect! Why can't I have a Draco(as interpreted by Soap)?
I. am. dumbfounded. The whole time I read this I was thinking "oh my GOD this is written by a guy?!?" You are an AMAZING writer! Every sentence was so perfectly crafeted I practically cried. This is such a brilliant story, so romantic and so beautiful. I adore your use of detail. Very well done. Keep writing!
P.S. I'll be checking your author's page for more. ;)
Author's Response: Hey, ya know, it helps to be a romantic. Glad you\'re enjoying things. I had fun writing that story, and of course I had a good beta. There\'s plenty more out there, including my novel-length fic, and some more stuff in the hopper. Hope to see you here again soon!
I know I should have reviewed before this, but i want you to know that your story inspired me to write in the SS/HG ship! I have written a twenty-something chapter story which I've published under the same author name on thepetulantpoetess.com
I hope your writing goes well, and that the block doesn't return! You really are an amazing author and I really admire how you tie everything together. -_Levicorpus_
This is such a beautiful story, and it truly captures the wonders a somewhat angsty slash can work, it conveys the perfect sense of pity and companionship with draco as the reader falls for harry too.
Author's Response: I really felt that the longing and love from afar was a big part of who the characters were so I\'m glad you saw it too. Thanks for the lovely review!
hahaha "perform before an audience"
I laughed aloud at that one.... lol, I have such a sick sense of humor.
Author's Response: Oh, good, then you\'ll fit right into the Fawkes Potterverse.
this is probably my favorite story I have EVER, EVER, EVER read. Please oh please become a published novelist, writing like this can't possibly be overlooked. it is people with your sense for character and wit who change the world.
Author's Response: LOL, I have one book out already but it\'s not fiction. There\'s a link on my bio page. PS. This story is incomplete on MNFF--you\'ll have to go to other sites to read the whole thing.
This is such a great story, the idea is very promising. I especially enjoy your vocabulary and dialouge. Vey nice.
I saw the link to this on the forums, and I clicked.
This is perhaps one of the most poignant (sp?) fan fictions I have had the chance to read. The sensory desciptions in addition to your incredible feeling for the depth of the human heart just...... wow. Keep up the beautiful work!
Author's Response: Thank you for the wonderful review, Levicorpus. I\'m really glad you enjoyed it. Take care. :)
I absolutely love this fic, it pokes fun at Hemione/Draco shippers in the most perfect way. I read it aloud to my friend and we were in stitches over multiple parts.
You should so totally go on to write for SNL or SOMETHING, your talent for perfectly timed potterhumour is honed to a perfect orb of hilarity!
Thank you for the laugh... it was very much needed
Author's Response: I\'m pleased to hear you liked it. I don\'t personally ship Draco/Hermione, even though I enjoy the ship immensely in fanfics. I\'m flattered you think I have talent in this genre. Thank you for the review... it was very much appreciated.
