i like it. i like how it rhymes without sounding forced. i like how it fits my mood. i like how it refers to poison. i like how it sounds like him. i like it.
Author's Response: Thanks, I\'m glad you feel that all those worked together. :)
personally, i dont care wheteher he is working for Voldemort, or dumbledore, or even himself, im just so glad he killed albus. i know this is random and little to do with the poem, but i was reading al the other reviews....anyway i think he is a very self-hating person, i think the hatred ethced on his face was for himself...no one likes to be alone
Author's Response: I agree with you in thinking that the hatred etched on his face was for himself, but mostly for himself in what he was doing. I\'m still holding on to some hope that there\'s a better explanation than Snape being the \"baddy.\" What do you mean that you\'re glad he killed Albus?? Did you just not like Albus as a character? Or do you think the action fits Snape\'s character? I\'d love to hear what you think, I\'m a Harry Potter nut as is obvious from my site - www.freewebs.com/zetera/ Let me know what you meant!
so..did this story take place at around the time James and Lily died?i thought it was set in the present (eg harry is 16) at the beginning, but then it got a bit confusing. still loved it though! you managed to strike the perfect balnce between evil vamipre/sadness of being a corpse and of evil severus/byronic severus. too any people make him OC, hes too nice in a lot of fiction and people ignore the fact that he IS a nasty, bitter human being. but yopu struck the right chord so he seems human....thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks so much, this fic is actually set pre-Harry Potter series, in the first war with Voldemort. Harry has already been born at this stage, though Voldemort doesn\'t make his move until the Hallowe\'en after Harry turns one, so this story is set before that time. This is the year that Snape first becomes a teacher at Hogwarts while he still plays the role of Death Eater to Voldemort. Thanks for your review, I hope that clears it up!
love this story so much! keep going you're great! also i love the fact that you've given voldemort a past, not many people consider what's not in the book. and i have a few burning questions about avril and severus that'll hopefully be answered in the nxt chapters!
Author's Response: Thanks, hopefully you\'ll continue to enjoy it! If you\'d like extra info on any of my fics feel free to visit my website - www.freewebs.com/zetera/
so..is snape a death eater or a phoenix or divided!? delicious!
Author's Response: All will be revealed - thanks for reading!
"Potter seems to be enjoying himself tonight. Never mind, he thought, I’ll fix that tomorrow."
in a terribly sad story, i indecently burst out laughing. sorry. but the rest of it was beautifully sad. perfect mixture of everything!
i was actually holding tears back when sirius saw the body. at the same time im squirming inside for poor snape!he must think hes going crazy!i want to see wether he'll tell anyone he can see a dead boy...
vernon was pretty in charachter. hes hard to do, most people find it hard to draw the line of where to stop the whole hating harry thing. you did do well mostly, maybe he was just a touch too insenstive at the hospital, he mightnt have shown diddain for his nephew so learly in public...you did petunia great though.she was perfect.
i cant wait to see snapes face!!!!
oooo intriguing even though im really more into dark fics i enjoyed this. funniful
i like it!
woah... this si probably the first piece of fiction I've ever read that makes me empathise with harry. EVEN THE REAL BOOKS! i sympathised with him, sure, but i never empathised with him before now. i dont really know how to explain - on the surface JKR does a good job with poor little harry, it's just you included a vicious side, a kind of sharpness....oh forget it, il never explain it right. all i know is you manouvered her main character better than she did. i think i sort of hate you....oj
loved this story! i would have left a comment on the other chapters but ive just finished reading them and i didnt want to pause for a minute! really scary momont there with the title "execution" but its a great story. thank you!
this was so sad...i think you captured the essence of waht would driive someone into suicide...the ring was awonderful invention, and the end was perfect. probably one of my favopurite fanics. i like!
Author's Response: Thanks very much - I\'m really glad you liked it!
beautiful story. what else can i say? you took a tiny incident and built something wonderful around it. the passing of the note in the 3rd film gives this fic a whole new depth that lots of fics dont have, especially harry/draco ones, they're usually quite unrealistic but urs was so believeable. and sad! thank you xoxox
wow. ive only just finished reading the first few chapters and its amazing. the characters are realistic. the plot is great. i love you!looking forward to reading the rest, just took a few minutes out of my feverish obssesive scanning to tell you how much i love this story.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review and I\'m glad that you\'re enjoying the story. :D
ARGH!this was so completely unexpected. i can hardly breathe so what severus is feeling i dont know. wow wow wow wow WOW!
Author's Response: Yay! You didn\'t guess who it was. And yes, Severus is having a hard time taking this in. Poor guy never saw that one coming.
when i said in my frist review that your characters were realsitic, i had no idea how far this realism would go. much as i love jk rowling, i always thought she made it to obvious-voldemort bad, dumbledore good.maybe she'll change this in the next book. but finally!another harry potter fan who DOESNT think albus is a saint !thank you for the story!
Author's Response: Hehe. Actually, I don\'t like Dumbledore much at all. To me, he is a slightly gentler version of Voldemort. All either of them ever see is the end result and to hell with whoever gets caught in the crossfire.
I too love Joe and am sometimes annoyed with her portrayl of good and evil but it\'s hard to write a book without good and evil. I think she\'s doing wonderfully because she is telling the story from Harry\'s POV. In reality there is rarely ever a truly good side and a truly bad side but individuals perceive most things that way. It may not be accurate but it\'s realistic. I hope all that rambling made sense.
no! not snape!
how come in the good fictions snape always dies? ah well. i still love your story.but the part where they lay down together 2 chapters ago i think? that made me cry. in the middle of the library. i havent cried whilst reading anyhting since the half blood prince. thank you for the story!
Author's Response: Awww, I\'m glad you found it that moving. Thanks so much for leaving reviews. It really means a lot.
And about Snape, I love him. I hated to do it but it needed to be done, for the good of the story.
Thanks again for the review. :D
i loved it!it made me cry for some odd reason....i feel so sorry for severus, without actually likeing him that much, you're very clever. one thing though-
"grinding her hips against his ribs"
i would give my first born son (if i wasnt 14 and didnt have a son) to find out what position they were in!
please upadte soon! love this story!
Author's Response: Haha. I imagined her sort of draped obliquely across him, but use your imagination!
i will now attempt to put into words exactly what this meant to me.
there was so much of severus in here, or what i imagined severus to be. even the style in which it was told - drawling (god i hate that word but its the onyl thing i can use) yet filled with so much understated pain. it kind of reminds me of something i read abotu willy wonka
"vast empires of impotnet rage and pain hidden below the surface"
i liked how you hinted about lily and severus, about how he was hoping for so much from harry... how he considered harry as an equal...
i was going to copy and paste all my favpourite quotes, the things that made me cry. but you wrote it so i guess i dotn need to tell you.
it reminded me of edward scissorhands. the overwhelming sense of loneliness...
Author's Response: Gad. I need to go watch Edward Scissorhands again -- LOVED that move, love the actor too. Thanks for the review!
