Summary: In love and in Quidditch, being the first to catch the Snitch does matter. Yet it does not necessarily mean a win.
the most lovely fic i've read so far (and that's not few)
you (and your) betaw do a wonderfull job!
keep it up, so i can live trough the painfull wait till book 7!
Author's Response: Lucky for me, Andrea gives the best advice and really knows romance :)
Summary: People come to Borgin and Burkes for a reason. One rainy day Lavender Brown walked in.
A FINALIST IN THE ONE SHOT BORGIN & BURKES CHALLENGE
i enjoyed it, still, it would have been a really- really - realy funny humour fic, if you had continued it!!!
Author's Response: *laugh* you know ... you\'re right. Maybe I ought to do that one of these days.
Summary: A compilation of the most commonly used Harry Potter clichés in the fandom. Features Angsty!Harry, Sweet!Draco, Head Dorms, sudden romances in the forms of Ron/Hermione, Harry/Ginny and of course, Draco/Hermione, because what's a cliché without them?
The Marauders also make an appearance in this fic, including Lily/Lily's best friend/Lily's other best friend.
Warning: mention of hippopotamuses inside.
Chapter Five is up! The story is done. Also, thank you to everyone who nominated this neatly tied bundle of ridiculousness in the QQ awards, I really appreciate it!
I loved it!! It was trully hilarious. I''l have to erease all my fics thought... kidding!
But I have to ask: where did those sparklypooes came out from? what was that all about?
AND you forgot the Draco/Ginny cliché!
Author's Response: Well, is Draco/Ginny really cliche? Maybe. Thanks. I appreciate your enthusiasm!
Summary: The intrepid adventure of a departing student in pursuit of a certain inexplicably attractive Potions professor. Silly with a twist of bitter.
I can't help but melt when Alan Rickman does that Snape-ish eyebrow lift on the movies!!!
Also I can't help but love the way you write!
Just one quest: was perhaps a silky blonde haired Slythering quidditch player this year's favourite? hehehehe...
Author's Response: Hee hee--well, this story takes place during Harry\'s Year 5, and clearly in the interest of propriety, only the \"graduates\" are allowed to, ahem, \"participate\" in this activity, so the blond one will have to wait a while.
Summary: Sirius Black discovers that being a godfather isn't always easy, but it can certainly be rewarding...
It's a wonderfull fic!
A little bit ennerving for the same-sex pairing, and a little bit annoying because it mainly male same sex pairing (I'm a girl, thus I feel a sort of felt a side, hehehe...)
Even so I really enjoyed it!
I can't help but wonder how would Hermione react to it. Specially since I picture her reading it form some old book and being all shocked and skeptical!!
So, I'll keep reading (and reviewing as long as you keep writting!
Author's Response: Hmmm...interesting. It\'d be kind of funny if Sirius ended up having to explain it all to Herms as well...heh heh heh./
Summary: Hermione wants to learn Occlumency, but Snape isn't known for doing favors out of sheer kindness. Both may learn something unexpected before it's all over...
This is a Book Five canon fic, hopefully fun and poignant. Enjoy.
can I just say i'm in love with your writing?
well i just did!!
Author's Response: Thanks! :)
Summary: If Severus Snape could remember how to cry, a rancid tear might have spilled down his cheek. But he did not cry. He only trudged on, ignoring the gaping black hole where a placid lake once resided, ignoring the ashen grounds and trees that still smoked with the memories of a great fire. He ignored the hundreds of bodies strewn haphazardly for miles. She wasn't one of them. He could still feel her heart beating.
He knows she is alive; he is drawn to her like a moth to a living flame. But when the moth seeks more from the flame than light, will she grant it?
SS/Hr, Disturbing imagery, Implied character death. Written for HermioneDancer for the SSSSS.
Wow! Lovely one-shot! Specially since Severus actually was innocent... hehehe! I enjoy the way you kept Severus character as cannon like as possible! Great story!
Summary: What happens when you cross Ginny Weasley with the death of Harry, a tyrannic Voldemort, unwanted fame, and the betrayal of her best friend? You get a very pissed off Ginny, with an agenda for revenge.
A dystopic version of what happens after the final battle, and a bad (in a good way) Ginny that certainly takes her revenge on Voldemort in spades. The 'girl-power' super heroine you've all been waiting for- brought over from another site due to popular demand!
All lyrics are copyrighted by the band Garbage, and no infringement is intended- I thank them for inspiring this plotbunny!
Just finnished the first chappie. You're are a wonderful writer! It was trully awesome. I'll read the next ASAP.
I loved the overall idea.
But there 's NO WAY Hermione Granger would do such a thing! Not even with Ron dead!!
Also I didn't understand clearly who died Arthur or Molly. Since you wrote that the night Ron died so did Dumbledore, Charlie, Fred and Dad. From Ginny and her conv with th minister I get that Molly is dead, but I'm not that sure about Arthur, yet?
Author's Response: I\'d be happy to explain- Molly died in Ginny\'s 7th year, and Arthur died in that first \'battle\' six months after Ginny left Hogwarts. But as for Hermione- that\'s why it\'s dystopic- b/c EVERYTHING seems to have gone wrong. :-)
Summary: James and Lily have just gotten married, but James must say goodbye to someone from his past before he can truly begin his life with his new wife.
Oooookey... this is too wierd. Petunia in love with James and well... you know. An astonishingly original sotry!!
I really liked it! it feels kind of odd thought... but still a great fic!
Author's Response: I take no credit for the idea of Petunia being in love with James. I would have never thought of that. This was a gift fic for Valentina, who happens to love Petunia. Petunia/James is her ship, not mine. However, the fic was fun to write and it is a really original couple to work with.
Thanks so much for another review. :D
Summary: The war has ended and the remainder of Hermione's class is graduating. However, this year the school has decided to have an official graduation, and Hermione has been asked to give a speech. She has also been asked not to dwell on the war in this speech. But how can she tell her fellow graduates to look to the future without understanding the past?
A touching story actually!
Author's Response: Thanks so much. :D
Summary: The time has come. Bellatrix is finally being initiated into the Death Eaters. But was it really what she wanted? Was she really meant to follow the Dark Lord?
Written by Sly Severus of Slytherin for the Gauntlet's 3rd run
It was an excellent way to end the story... something like Bella gettinh cold feet at the last minuteand Rodolfus saving her neck would have been way too easy (sweeter, nicer, bot too easy)
Loved your fic!
Now, if you excuse me I'll keep reading your stuff!
Author's Response: Honestly, something along the lines of what you described is what I was most likely to do. I don\'t see Bella as an evil monster. In my mind, she could never intentionally hurt either of her sisters. Because of my strong feelings about Bella and her character the end of this story was very hard for me to write.
Anyway, I\'m glad you liked it. Thanks so much for leaving a review. And thanks for checking out my other fics, as well. :D
Summary: This was written for the 2006 Gauntlet Challenge #3: The night Severus Snape became a Death Eater. Includes a bit of angst, a bit of humor, a bit of romance (!), and plenty of cynicism.
A trully enjoyable story but may I ask what in the name of Merlin has Lassie's moon trip got to do with it? I'm sorry but I'm dead curious!! You might have noticed that already...
Also you have something for Snape and Tasmanian devils, don't you? Fair Exchanges rings a bell?
Author's Response: It\'s a song reference. Camper Van Beethoven wrote this song of the same title as my story and the song is about an unexpectedly weird/horrifying experience. Since that pretty much summed up what Snape just went through, it seemed like a perfect title. And yeah, I have a thing for Tasmanian dervishes (my own creation). I made them up for this story, actually, and liked them so much I used them in Fair Ex, too. :)
Summary: After a potion goes awry, Draco finds himself as the newly appointed babysitter of one Hermione Granger, age: 4. As if that wasn't humiliating enough, his wand is confiscated by Potter and he is forced to do everything the dreaded Muggle way.
Note to my readers: This story has been on hiatus forever due to a variety of factors. I do hope to finish it some day, but don't hold your breath. Also, this is NOT a Dramione nor will I change it to be one. Lastly, I am in the process of rewriting this story so bear with me.
i'm so sad to see this story has been on hyatus for so long.. It is completely and possitively hillarious!!!
I do hope you get to finish it!
It is such a shme when an amusing plot gets a nasty case of writer's block... But a great story nevertheless!
Author's Response: Thanks. I hope to chase it away soon enough but we´ll see. Once more, thanks for reading.
Summary: A young woman feels as though she has lost it all, until she accidently runs into someone from her past.
For the December Challenge, The Winter Miracle Option. By Sly Severus of Slytherin House.
okay, i'm literally crying because of your story now!!!
You do write marvellously! What a Christmas tale!!
Author's Response: Thanks so much. This is another of my favorites. :D
Summary: Bellatrix Lestrange believes that she is finally free. Everyone who has hurt her is gone. She thinks that she will finally be able to find peace. But is there ever peace for someone like Bellatrix Lestrange?
Written for the Winter Tales Challenge, Things That Go Bump In the Night, The Second Option, by Sly Severus of Slytherin.
ouch! that's a very dark, though well written fic!
Congrats you great writer! I'm sure Neville would be so happy!!
Jajaja! I almosT felt pitty for poor filthy Bella. Almost...
Author's Response: Almost, huh? I\'ll have to try harder next time. :D I\'m a huge Bella fan. She\'s my fav character.
Thanks so much for the review. :D
Albus Dumbledore is a man of many secrets. One of them is his secret identity as an advice columnist, the Wise Wizard. When he coerces Snape to fill in, readers discover the Sagacious Sorcerer answering their queries would be better named Snarky Severus!
I think you should have made Ron send a letter as well.
Maybe Lav-Lav... When I read about the pink perfumed letter, hers was the first name that jumped to my mind!!!
Author's Response: Ron isn't the type to ask for romantic advice...he's got his handy book, y'know, lol. Thank you!
Summary: After his failed attempt on Dumbledore's life, Draco seeks refuge at the Order of the Phoenix. Sent back to Hogwarts with suspicious title of Head Boy, he is forced to share a dormitory with none other than Hermione Granger. But with war looming on the horizon and another danger even closer to home, their seventh year of Hogwarts is anything but ordinary.
A story of compelling intrigue, hidden motives, dangerous secrets, and obvious passion. Animagi, Quidditch, the Order of the Phoenix. Masquerades and riddles. Hate and love. Pleasure and pain. A blend of contradictions that, for two people, makes a truly unforgettable final year. Slow moving D/Hr with plenty of plot.
That's all I can write right now.
Will be back once I regain rational skills...
Author's Response: Haha, good luck with that!
Summary: Lord Stoddard Withers (1642 – 1769) bred Aethonans and held a Masters in Magizoology, specializing in winged horses. Lord Withers is most noted for his attempt to combine Quidditch with the Muggle sport, polo, shortly after many Quidditch teams were disbanded in 1674. Unfortunately, Quidlo, as Lord Withers christened it, never did catch on.
Overall winner of the Spring Challenge 2007
First place in the Wizard Card category
Nominated for Best Humor Story in the 2008 QSQs!
Lovely one shot.
I'm under the impression Miss Selena Ollivander is Luna's great-grandmother or somethings of the sort, right? She seems like a very interesting character!! And her commenting on Quidlo was rather interesting, may I add.
Another of your characters I find addorable, I must confess, is Lord Withers. Poor winged-horse obsessed man. In a way he resembles Hagrid, doesn't he? I'd happily play for his Quidlo team anytime!!
Author's Response: You're correct that I had intended for Selena and Luna to be related. Prior to the release of the DH, I was convinced that the similarity between Luna's and Mr Ollivander's eyes was a clue that they were related.
Thanks for reviewing,
Summary: Narcissa Black is called a word that she does not know the definition of. Curious to find out the meaning, she strikes up a conversation with Severus Snape.
A light, short piece showing a snippet of Narcissa's time at Hogwarts.
Hehehe! Enjoyable like incredibly few one shots are!! You are ge.ni.al!
That's Spanish for genious! ;)
Author's Response: *grins* Thank you so much, dear.
Summary: When had a pledge of universal honesty become a practice of universal derision? A look at Severus as a teacher, 1987.
Wow... Poor Percy... I liked the way it all turned out to be about Lily, that's for sure. I was uncertain as to where it was headed. Very enjoyable read!
