I think I'm back... It's been years, I know, but I've missed the fanfiction world.
About my stories: (for anyone who cares to read them, though I really wouldn't suggest it...)
I started posting these when I was young. REALLY, really... young. It's glaringly obvious just how inexperienced I was at writing (and life?), but I don't have it in my heart to delete my fics, which may or may not be a reflection on my real life (I'll take "Hopeless Pining and the Inability to Let Go" for $1,000, Alex).
In fact, I don't want to to delete them. At all. If I continue them, I plan to just build off of what I have, even if what I have isn't so great. (By the by, I wouldn't suggest doing that in other areas of life. Like, say, construction.) They may be embarassingly underwritten, but they're mine!
Right now, though, I'm just trying to catch up on everything I have missed (namely, all the excellent stories that have popped up/been finished while I've been away from Fanfiction Land). Though, the site is so much more quiet then it used to be! (For obvious reasons. *sigh* I wish J.K. Rowling would sell out and write another Harry Potter book.)
Well, that's about it. I wish I could think of something more entertaining and eye-catching to put on here, but it seems my talent for wit is inversely proportional to my age.
About my username:
I was barely past tweenaged (yes, I said tweenaged) when I made this account, which of course meant that I had to have an overbearing and debilitating obsession with some celebrity or another at the time (not that I'm generalizing or anything), and would simply not have survived if I didn't firmly cement my adoration "4eva".
My victim of choice was, quite obviously, poor (or should I say "exceedingly rich"?) Mr. Radcliffe. I'm happy to say I've recovered from that addiction, (largely by moving on to other, older celebrities *cough*) though I still have the tendency to lash out in a verbal torrent of anger when anyone says he's "not even that cute". You've been warned.
Summary: Draco Malfoy and Pansy Parkinson were destined to share a privileged life until the devastating circumstances of their sixth year at Hogwarts tore them apart. Five years later, they separately strive to come to terms with the past and proceed with a life they did not expect…alone. Pure & Proud is presented through alternating chapters of Draco's brooding journal and Pansy's idiosyncratic diary.
~ Pansy Parkinson is written by Sea Isle Witch ~ Twenty-two year old Pansy seemingly has everything a young witch could desire; yet she struggles to build a life for herself independent of her pure-blood family's expectations and without her one true love. From the pages of her private diary, Miss Parkinson shares a précis of the past five years and then gives us a glimpse of her current challenges.
~ Draco Malfoy is written by Desslok and Sea Isle Witch ~ After spending a year on the run and then a year in Azkaban, Draco Malfoy was expelled from England by the Ministry of Magic. He spent the last three years travelling the Continent until he realised it was time to come home. Mr Malfoy discloses his journey back from exile, beginning with a statement to the Ministry of Magic in November of 2002. Complete!
Fantastic story. Probably my favorite Draco/Other Character fic. Please update soon!
Mother always said he would live a dog's life, wretched and ignoble. Lying before the fire with a lovely woman running her fingers through his hair, Sirius made a sound of deep contentment. The battleaxe had been dead wrong. It was good to be Snuffles.
Go Snuffles! I love how you portray Sirius, I could totally imagine him doing that. Cami's great too. (I think I spelled her name wrong, sorry.)
Author's Response: No, you\'re spot on! (and of course your review is perfect too!) ^_~
Severus Snape has ambitions to rise above his humble beginnings. Eris Greyback has a family debt to repay. Their romance is a more complicated brew than the trickiest of potions. SSEG, LEJP. The sequel, The Potions Master's Apprentice, is also complete.
*Winner of the 2007 QSQ Award for Best Marauder Era Story*
dun dun dun dun....love the cliffie
Author's Response: Someone once said my cliffies reminded them of old Batman episodes...tune in, same bat time, same bat channel...(for a malevolent bat! ;D)
dun dun dun dun....love the cliffie
Author's Response: Now I have a symphony echoing in my head. Thanks!
Summary: A Sequel to Born the Day You Kissed Me
After losing Draco Malfoy, Hermione Granger is determined to have him back…so determined that she will go as far as inventing a spell that reverses the affects of the “Obliviate” curse. In this anticipated sequel, Hermione and Draco’s lives will collide, along with opportunities for Hermione to perform her new creation on her most valuable subject. However, when a new relationship between the two forms, will Hermione be able to summon the courage to expose their lost love? Will she reveal to him the missing portion of his life? Or will she simply accept the new Draco and without spells, attempt to revive the love that she knows is buried down deep in his soul....
This story is pre-HBP/DH CH 16 Coming Soon
Love this story. *repeatedly hits refresh button, hoping for update*.
Summary: Draco wanted to get away. He needed to get away from all the things that reminded him everyday of the mistakes he had made and the one he had lost. He found the perfect spot too, a small town in Wyoming, USA, a place called Nowhere. A perfect name as far as he was concerned. Magic, fate has a way of finding you no matter where you go though.
I really like this story, and I still can't shake the feeling that Abby is Draco's kid too...Just the way you worded Hermione's denial after Draco asked...Maybe I'm just paying too much attention to detail, but hey, have to wonder.
Author's Response: Glad that you enjoy the story, more to come soon.
Summary: Severus Snape, dangerously embroiled in his duties as Dumbledore's spy, encounters yet further obstacles when he begins to harbor feelings for a sixth year Gryffindor student. Succumbing to his desires sets in motion a chain of events that could very well destroy all that he and the opposition of Lord Voldemort have striven so hard to accomplish. Please keep in mind that this is written from the angle that Snape is no longer a follower of Voldemort, and that its events coincide with books 4, 5, and 6, with a slight continuation beyond HBP. (Chapters 1-15 need some fixing to work with Book 7.)
I remember reading the beginning handful of chapters of this story a long time ago. I'm glad I found it again, and I'm very glad you're writing it again!
Summary: Set Post-Hogwart's, Voldemort has been defeated and the Wizarding world has returned to normal - well, as normal as Wizarding worlds could be. Hermione has a job at Gringott's, the Wizarding bank, but what will happen when an old enemy turns up as a colleague?
Oo oo oo! *jumps up and down in seat* Please update soon!
Summary: The eight year War has been over for almost three years and members of the Order and their families are slowly slipping back into normal lifestyles; all except Ginny. Every day she lives with deep regret for turning from Harry and her guilt increases as no one knows if he is alive or dead. A story about the journey one must take to get back the things missed the most.
Very good chapter (your most recent one). I like how you tied everything up. Second to last chapter? *curls up in computer chair into fetal position, screaming no!*
Author's Response: i\'m glad you liked the most recent chapter. it\'s hard to sum everything up in one conversation. i hope to have the final chapter submitted soon and leave everyone will warm and fuzzy feelings! thanks for reviewing!
Within the Marauder band of Merry Men, Sirius is the dashing Will Scarlet. Seventh year, his goal is not to rob the rich, but to help poor Robin woo Maid Lily, avoid sermons from Friar Moony, aid a rat in need, and win the love of a fair lady.
Nominated for a Quicksilver Quill for Best Romance- Non Canon.
*Chapter 30 is 'To Be Loved'*
Brilliant, as usual. The part with the brassiere was hilarious. The end was sort of depressing though, still great though. *hugs to Sirius*
Author's Response: There are loads of reasons why Sirius has a \'semi charmed\' life, aren\'t there? I can see Walburga and Reggie honestly think they\'re being \'kind\' by such cruelty, and it\'s even more depressing. Next chap he\'ll get some TLC to make up this one!
Summary: What happens when the Order's most valuable spy loses his memory? Severus Snape fights to survive in a world he can no longer remember and in the process rediscovers the love of his life.
Severus Snape/Original Character.
Ooh! Update soon please! I was not expecting that ending at all... :-)
Author's Response: Thanks! I will update soon. : )
Summary: *Nominated for 2006 Annual Quicksilver Quills Awards for Best Original Character in reference to Rathius Ratbone*
It is Ginny's last year at Hogwarts, and the lessons she will learn are not restricted to books and classes. As she struggles to hold onto that which she holds most dear, the youngest Weasley will come to learn much about love, friendship, and herself.
This is the fifth story in the Epilogues story arc. If this is the first of my stories you have sat down to read, please read Right Here, One Good Day, and Epilogues Part I prior to reading this fic.
First, I was about to murder Harry. Then he explained, so I switched to Cho, then I added Romilda to the List. I aboslutely loved this chapter (and this entire story so far). I love all the cliffhangers - but it always comes back to Ratbone, doesn't it?
Author's Response: Yes it does always come back to him. Something I will tell you is that he is there for a very singular purpose, and it has little to do with teaching students. Man, this is awesome, this response is so buried, I wonder if anyone will actually read the very dark hint I just laid down. Thanks for the review.
Summary: Hermione wants to learn Occlumency, but Snape isn't known for doing favors out of sheer kindness. Both may learn something unexpected before it's all over...
This is a Book Five canon fic, hopefully fun and poignant. Enjoy.
I've only read one chapter, and you already have me hooked! I practically fell out of my chair laughing when she offered to read to him - never even imagined he would agree...And now I'm off to read more!!!
Author's Response: Heh, and Teh Funneh has yet to begin--wait\'ll you hit chapter 5.
I finished! Yay, I loved this story!
Author's Response: Thanks! You might check out the Extended Version on other sites (see my author bio for details)
Summary: For once in her life, Hermione is faced with a problem she does not know how to solve...
Uh oh. This could be bad. A snockered Snape with Lord Voldemort - hmm. Excellent chapter - I loved it when Lavendar fell on him, that was really funny. Update soon please! :-)
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! And I\'ll try :)
That was awesome! Please update soon! I'm begging...
Author's Response: haha, no need to beg. i will try to update soon :D
Summary: It's seven years after The War and Hermione Granger, the last whole member of the Golden Trio, is making her way through life as best she can. Then, a visitor from her past arrives, setting into motion a chain of events that would bring her closer to a man she never expected and a horror she had already experienced.
Through time and will-power, Hermione forced herself to forget the painful memories of her past. Could one man make her want to remember?
That was so good! I wanna know what happens!! You have to update!!!
Author's Response: Haha, thanks! You\'ll know what happens soon enough!
Summary: What happens when the man Hermione feels far too embarrassed to ever see again (due to events entirely out of her control ... well, almost ... ) turns up as the new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher? The War is raging, the N.E.W.T.s are approaching, and the only question circling through Hermione's head (much to her annoyance) is whether or not five years older is too old.
It seems to be out of her control once again; avoiding Oliver Heaney for her entire seventh year seems not only difficult, but well near impossible ...
Excerpt from Chapter Eight
Oliver was a nervous wreck all through his seventh year class.
It took all of his will-power not to glance Hermione’s way every three seconds. He risked it only a handful of times, making sure never to do so when her face was looking in even remotely his direction.
As is usual with one who is out of control of a course of events one began, Oliver began to panic. Second-guessing himself was not something Oliver was prone to, and yet here he was, asking himself those terrifying questions. Did she get the note? Has she read it yet? What if it was all a bad idea? What if it all went horribly wrong?
What if she took the note straight to Minerva and told her everything?
Don't worry, this story hasn't been abandoned, just moving in a different direction than I originally planned!
Great story, its so original! I read your Author's Note, and I saw you wanted to know where you find out how many reads' your story has had. I'm not sure if somebody already answered this for you, but if they haven't, there isn't a way to check anymore. They took the feature away... Anyways, as I said, awesome story! :-)
Author's Response: Thank you! And thanks for answering my question - ah well, it would have been nice to know! :D ~Tickled Pink~
Summary: Nineteen years after Voldemort’s defeat, a young girl named Riana is living an innocuous life with her adoptive Muggle parents until she receives her acceptance letter from Hogwarts.
Escaping the clutches of her loving but stifling parents, Riana travels to London and from there to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There, Riana is viewed as mysterious, cunning, sly, and—though her parentage is unknown—is chosen for Slytherin House.
The two halves of her life clash, as her anorexia battles with the disdain of fellow Slytherin students for Muggle-born witches and wizards. Follow Riana on her journey through the world of wizardry and her search to find a true home, the identity of her real parents, as well as her inner conflict with anorexia.
I hope you come off your hiatus soon. This story is wonderfully written - and very interesting. :-)
Author's Response: Thank you so much for reviewing. =) I\'m actually in the process of editing past chapters right now in order to refresh my mind on the whole story. But as soon as that\'s done, there should be another chapter.
Thanks again for your review! =)
Summary: 2009 QSQ Awards Winner for Best Chaptered Canon Romance
Before the chosen one was ever born, his parents had to meet, fall in love, and defy Voldemort three times. Easier said than done. Things were never easy for Harry Potter's parents, but it gets a whole lot harder when Death Eaters kidnap Lily. This is the story of Lily and James, the trials they face, and how James finally wins Lily's heart. (pre-Deathly Hallows)
“I’ll always protect you.”
I really love this story. I found the end part of your most recent chapter abosutely hilarious, (Don't blame me, I'm really weird), when Lily kissed James and he's all "You haven't heard someone apologize until you've heard James Potter apologize". (I know that wasn't the quote, you wrote it way better, I just can't remember the actual quote...) Anyways, great story, please update again soon.
Author's Response: I\'m glad you liked it, especially that last chapter (as it was one of my most favorite to write so far)! James Potter is a hilarious person, what can I say. Thanks for the review!
