Many thanks to Roxy Black for the wicked AUP Banner and Sentinelity for the awesome MTC banner!
"Love is unexplainable. There are no words for it. You can’t express why you feel so. It just happens," James said. "“Don’t you think that if I had the choice I would have chosen to love someone who didn’t hate me in return?”
“No,” Sirius said simply.
“You’re right.” James said, sighing. “I’m so screwed up, Padfoot.”
The drama-filled romantic tale of Lily and James's mysterious but unfortunate tale. It started with love and ended with death. It makes you wonder about the things they tried to live for. Pre-HBP
I'd read this before, but I guess there was something wrong with the chapter, so you had to re-post it. It's good, because seeing it on the recent list catches readers' eyes, and this stoy is definitely worth reading.
I figured I'd fill out these questions, however:
What was your favorite quote in L/J: Their Story of Love? (GO DIGGING!)
Uhm, the only one I can find in this chapter (I'm in a rush, so I can't 'go digging' so to speak,) was Remus' "Tomorrow, we’ll just have to see where the road takes us."
Who was your favorite JKR created character? Sirius or Lily.
Who was your favorite OC? (ex. Katy, Halle)
Which villain did you hate the most?
I dunno, Peter, maybe.
What was your favorite part and/or chapter in this fic?
J and L's first kiss.
What do you wish to see in the next fic?
I don't think this is a valid question, seeing as the other one's already written.
Who was your favorite couple?
James and Lily
Is there anything you didn’t like story-related?
I must admit, I'm really not fond of the cliché "Lily's friend falls for Sirius or Remus", so that part was a little bitter for me as a reader.
Anyway, great work!

Awwwwww... Poor Draco! I feel terrible for him.
I thought you'd said this was the last chapter? Well, I'm not complaining!
'Twas loverly, although 'twas quite short.
Fantastic job, as always!
Summary: The reign of Voldermort comes to an end, and with it ends the prestige and power Lucius Malfoy once had in the Wizarding World. In order to regain the respect of his fellow wizards and to make them believe that he has turned over a new leaf (which he actually hasn't) and has graciously accepted muggles and Mudbloods, Lucius asks Hermione, a Mudblood, to marry his son, Draco, a pure-blood. Obviously, they both refuse, but Lucius isn't going to give up easily. After all, he wants his status back. He still has a few tricks up his sleeve and is determined to play match-maker. What happens next is a series of events that serve only to bring Hermione and Draco closer, both literally and figuratively speaking. Read to find out how this one unseemly proposal causes absolute chaos in their lives! THIS STORY IS NOT HBP and DH COMPATIBLE! Hey all! Check out my personal info for the expected date of the next update. =)
Oh, mods, let it through! You can do it, Mods! Haha. Can't wait to read this one!
All I can say is - YAY, YAY, YAY, YAY! Thanks so much for updating! ::does dance:: I loved this chapter!!! :) The D/Hr in this is really getting good - not like it wasn't before! I'm sooooo happy now. I've been waiting for a while now for this chapter! - a very happy Hannah
Summary: *One-Shot* Lily Potter is in her last year of Hogwarts. She has 5 brothers and sisters. Her mum Ginny, and her father...the ever famous, Harry Potter. But what happens when all she wants is one more dance?
brilliant job. i got all teary eyed but that may have just been because i got apple in the eye, but anyway, i really liked this. i've got it going now for sad fics, and yours was great!
It was totally worth the wait, but it was so short!!!! Haha. Please update soon! :) -Hannah
Summary: "Don't tell me you know how I feel," Ginny choked out, tears cascading down her cheeks. "You don't. He was my brother, all right? HE WAS MY BROTHER!" "I know," Harry said sadly, fighting back tears of his own. "And he was my best friend." Harry comforts a grieving Ginny after Ron's funeral. One-shot songfic to the song "Don't Cry" from the musical The Most Happy Fella. (I know, go figure, right?) More angst than fluff.
Awwww! I've never seen The Most Happy Fella, but the song is really sweet!
This is a cute little story portraying Harry and Ginny's feelings extremely well after the war.
As much as I love Ron, I'm actually glad to see that someone hasn't let all of the main characters live; seeing story after story about Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and Harry living is a little... I don't know... irritating. I must say, even in one of my stories, I couldn't resist letting them all live.
Anyway, awesome job! This was a touching romantic piece that I really couldn't help but enjoy!
Knight of the Turnip Table
Summary: Harry, Ron, and Hermione make a trip to Godric's Hollow to visit the Potters' graves. There, Harry speaks to his parents for the first time, and in so doing, discovers that the dead are never truly lost. (One-shot. Bring your kleenex.)
Oh! That was great. I actually got teary eyed. I'm trying not to sniffle too much. This is so sad@! I loved it! Two thumbs way up. ::gets tissue::
Summary: James Potter: Marauder. Lily Evans: Prefect. They're both seventh years at Hogwarts. They're also about to have a pretty interesting year--complete with a few detentions, pranks, confusion, and laughter--in which they get through school, make some trouble and maybe, just maybe, sort out their feelings for each other.
Thanks to all you who have made it possible for this story to be in the Top Tens. It was a very happy moment when I first saw my story on the list, and I love being able to go back and see it there now. Still. Yay!
Throughout the latter half of 2010, and the first half of 2011, I re-edited this story. The changes were mostly to fix stray (and annoying) grammar and spelling errors, but also to rework some plot points in an effort to stay truer to canon. I also updated the style; having written this story so long ago, my writing has definitely developed (and I would say gotten better), so I edited to reflect that. (I apologize for the errors that were in the story before all this editing. I found them immensely distressing when I reread my chapters. Heartbreaking, really.)
Big “thank yous” go to the three people who helped edit/nitpick the first edition of this novel: violagirl, fairiesandcream, and Omagus.
And yes, this story is up on Fanficition.net under the penname: Io.Sono.Emilia.
Of course, as a disclaimer, I’m not JK Rowling. The Potterverse does not belong to me, but I am in it and love it.
As everyone continued to eat Filch,
MMMMM! Yummy. Caretaker stew! Haha. So far so good!
Author's Response: *gasp* WHAT!??!?! AHHH!!!!! *starts laughing* I put the comma in the wrong spot! Oh, that\'s great! HEhe. Thanks for finding that!
Summary: Ever wonder what the world of Harry Potter would be like as a soap opera? Me neither – until now, that is. Set in Harry’s 6th year, think of this as the parts of the Half Blood Prince that JKR didn’t want us to see. If you're into unconventional ships, this one's for you! Behold… As the Wizarding World Turns
Episode 9 is up!
*****Excerpt from a later chapter*****
"Haven’t you heard the rumors about her – one date Weasley.”
“One date what!?” Harry stared at Hermione dumfounded. He turned his head towards Ginny who once again started snogging Dean. Dean’s hands wandered to his girlfriend’s bum as she pulled the lower half of his body closer. “Hmm… makes sense,” he admitted.
“Anytime she brings up that sort of thing, I try to act like I have loads of experience too, but actually I have no idea what I’m talking about.”
“But what about you and Krum?” Harry asked, still visibly uncomfortable about their conversation.
“Oooh big deal. So we kissed a couple times. That means I must be a demon in the sack,” Hermione answered sarcastically. “Look, I was thinking…” Hermione started to blush. “I need to find someone I know to you know… practice with.”
Gah! I hate having to wait for updates. This is really hilarious. At first, I was like, "Gah. Harry Potter as a Soap Opera. Sounds weird," but then I started reading and couldn't stop. Very well, plotted, I am still totally cracked up and almost fallen off my chair. Bloody brilliant!!! Adding this to my favorites.
Summary: Wherever his reputation preceded him, he was unwelcome. So he kept inside and played his violin. And the music carried through his open window, and, unseen, he serenaded the city... Remus Lupin, as a Muggle, tutors one Hermione Granger, a brilliant young violinist with a promising career. (AU, slightly allegorical.)
I must say that you are an amazing writer. You are skilled with words and you have a strong vocabulary. The emotions and characterizations of people were amazing. You added little bits of other characters in there too, which added a little touch.
This was absolutely fantastic! I'm not surprised it won the QSQ.
Great job -- I'm sure you'll go far in writing.
Author's Response: Thank you so much, Winged Artemis, for the vote of confidence as much as the review. I\'ve read some of your work, too, and not without admiration - and because I think you\'ll go far, as well, I feel doubly gratified to receive these words from you! :)
Summary: Hermione and Harry usually go to the Burrow during the summer, but during the summer after Harry’s sixth year, Ron, Harry, and Ginny go to Hermione’s house instead, and teenage hormones decide to rage. This fic is its own, and completely ignoring everything that happened in HBP. Please read and review!
wow. encore, encore! i really enjoyed this. a lot. i think you should write a sequel or something. very nice job!!!
Summary: Pygmy puffs, both sides of Fred's buttocks and music. You would think that there were more important things in Harry's life.
Be amazed as Ron, Hermione and, of course, Harry attempt to write Harry's life story with a musical touch.
Warning: Involves out of tune Neville in later chapters. Disregards Deathly Hallows.
The next few chapters are now in the process of being written as I have a sudden breakthrough for a storyline. Thank you for your patience.
Hahahhah.. hilarious. update soon!
Author's Response: Thank you...will do :)
Summary: This is an entry for the one shot Daily Prophet challenge from avenger_of_dumbldore of Gryffindor. In an interview with Hermione Granger and Dobby, we learn more about S.P.E.W. and the history of elf enslavement. Thanks a ton to my two amazing BETAs: Little-kitty and my mom.
I must say that I absolutely loved this story! The made up history was extremely funny and very official with the dates and locations that you'd described. The journalisticness (is that a word?) of the whole thing also was really well done. "One girl, Hermione Granger" "many ambitions", etc., which use big words and down-to the point expressions-- very well-done! You've captured the Rita Skeeter touch, and the flow of the whole thing went smoothly222!
Looking back, am surprised that this article/story/fic was not under either history or humor -- as it's very silly, but tells a lot, also, about the history of slaves; all though it may not be canon.
I would have loved to have seen this signed by someone, maybe making up a reporter's name -- but oh well. Not a biggie.
I didn't catch many grammatical errors, but one thing that did have me going "hmmmm" was that Hermione is sixteen. Not only was this during the entire dilly-dally run-in with the ministry, but also, I'm not sure if the paper would give such an article to an underage witch at such a time when they thought she was such a liar about the whole Ministry-hearing thing.
But that's just if you were going by canon, and I'm not sure if you were. And hey, if everyone went by canon, how many great stories like this would there be?
Knight of the Turnip Table
Oops! Sorry for the 222! My computer has a fetish for typing random numbers!
Excellent job, again! I'm going to go check out some of your other work as we speak! :)
Summary: Hermione shows Mr Weasley how to use a Muggle computer. Confusion about spider webs, and what a mouse really is, ensues.
::laughs histerically:: Nice job! I really liked how the three Weasleys were all, "Wow!" and Hermione was obviously trying not to crack up. Hehe. Cool!
Author's Response: It really makes me happy that my story made you laugh so much - that\'s what it was meant to do! Yes, I had a lot of fun writing the reactions of the three Weasleys. Trying to imagine what it would be like for people who are used to moving pictures to see moving images on a Muggle machine was quite fun. Poor Hermione, though, had to hold in her laughter because she knew how honest the reactions were and she didn\'t want to hurt anyone\'s feelings by laughing at them. Thanks for the review! :)
Summary: Lily thought she was in for a boring summer... but James Potter had other ideas. Love Letters, with a rather bizarre twist.
hahahahaha. hilarious!! i laughed at just about every letter to and from James. I'm waiting for the next update, and this is going on my favorites!!!!!
Summary: Dave Jensen thought Harry Potter was just a fun story - that is, until he found out that his best friend was a witch. Join Dave as he learns her true identity and helps her to stop running from her past.
This is a semi-fluffy, and really quite silly (hey, that rhymed!) one-shot.
Wow! You have an awesome writing style. I really, really, really, really liked this! I want an epilogue. ::sighs:: Anyway, Great job, great job! -Hannah
Author's Response: Thank you very much! I\'m glad you liked it so much, but I\'m sorry to say that I don\'t have an epilogue planned. This story was meant to be nice and fluffy, and I\'m afraid I\'d ruin the happy ending if I tried to go on with it. If you like the H/G shippiness, though, feel free to check out my other stories! (That\'s a monster-sized hint for anyone following a certain other story of mine.) :)
Summary: During her fifth year, Lily Evans decides to write a guide to life at Hogwarts, and how to survive it. She covers all aspects of life, and gives helpful advice on how to deal with certain scenarios. For example, would you know what to do if you realised there was a kleptomaniac in your Dorm? What if you lost your beloved teddy bear, Mr Muffles? And do you know how to push, without any force? Read on, and find out the best way of living and surviving at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry ...
Excellent job! Very good jist and I really enjoyed this!
Author's Response: Thank you very much! I don\'t actually think this is one of my better humour one-shots, so feel free to try the others! There are many. =D
Summary: James and Lily were known for giving their lives for their only son. That night, the night that Voldemort came and ended their lives, they talked about their possible future. And their love endured even unto death. ONE-SHOT based off of Garth Brook's song, If Tomorrow Never Comes.
Oh my gosh. I got so choked up at that. ::wipes tears away:: That was so good. I really like how you portrayed J/L in this. Yay! Again, awesome job. -Hannah
Author's Response: thanks! these characters just seemed so natural, and in love, when i wrote this...they fit the song so perfectly, so they came out onto the paper beautifully. thanks for the review, Hannah!
