When Saints Die, The World Stops Spinning by forsakenphoenix

Summary:
Hope, loyalty, love, despair, and tragedy. Through it all, Lily discovers the truth about the Marauders, the affable troublemakers who hide behind smokescreens but still glitter in shattered light. They aren't the glorious, graceful men they are often perceived as, but stumbling, awkward boys who are still trying to find their way out of darkness.
I loved this... especially seeing all of the Marauders through Lily's eyes -- their glamour, and strength, and their weaknesses -- it gave an extra layer to their characters somehow. Very upsetting ending though :( you always know it's going to happen but it never makes it any better!

Summary: A ballad about my favorite conflicted hero and the lengths to which his loyalty drives him.
Second place entry in The Ballad Challenge
Absolutely brilliant, I love it! The rhythm and everything flows so perfectly it seems effortless...though I'm sure it wasn't :P Fantastic work, really deserves its award, well done!

Summary: A poem about that unforgivable curse! I figured that it got the least attention.
Hehe, this was fun! I like the ending, the utterly confused victim having no idea what he even thinks any more. And the childlike tone is cool, it fits this nicely! :) :)
Author's Response: Thank you! I like that you picked up on the tone of it- I was proud after writing it.
