Summary: A new person comes into Harry's life; one who has ties to his parents, and to his enemies. The story starts in the summer after 3rd year and becomes AU (but just barely) at that point. Pairings: SBOC, a smattering of HPHG, some RLNT later on...
Hungry for GOOD fan fiction? Give this story a try! It will satisfy the avid fan fiction reader's most voracious appetite. It is chock full of the basic fan fiction food groups: It's got drama, romance, angst, snarky banter, mystery, Quidditch, humor, new love, old love rekindled, introspection, action...
So go on, sample a little bit... I KNOW you won't walk away feeling empty!
I've just found your story and am really enjoying it so far - so much so, in fact, that the book I'm supposed to be reviewing for a graduate class lies untouched! Thanks for creating such an interesting character in Rinna, I can't wait to find out more about her. :)
Summary: This is an alternate version of Book Seven. Harry reluctantly returns to Hogwarts to train with a new DADA teacher, one appointed in specifically for Harry in Dumbledore's will. As the rest of the Wizard World reacts to Dumbledore's defeat, Harry develops the skills he needs to fulfill the Prophecy--including mastery of the Kedavra curse.
Mysteries are explored along the way, particularly the "missing 24 hours" from 1981--the span of time between Hagrid taking Baby Harry from the ruins of Godric's Hollow on Halloween Night, and his arrival to hand off Baby Harry on Privet Drive the following night. The Veil Room in the Department of Mysteries is also revisited. A traitor is uncovered, and Dumbledore's wisdom comes into question. And even when all goes as planned, things are not all they seem.
Thought I'd drop in a quick review since I've *finally* made it through your amazing, wonderful, captivating story...found it this week and have been sneaking in hours of reading whenever I could. I've really enjoyed the tale you've woven, 'specially since you've kept alive or brought back from the dead all of my favorite characters. Plus, you manage to slip in several LOTR references and that series is my first love in the fantasy genre. I can just picture Dobby, clad in the mithril shirt with Sting in hand! How fitting! Thanks so much for a wonderful read, I can't wait to see how it all turns out.
PS - You've written the first Draco I've ever liked, and that appreciation may increase if it turns out he's related to my beloved elves!
Author's Response: Cool! Thanks for reviewing!
Summary: It is the Maruader's Seventh Year. With it comes more problems - Voldemort is gaining power, danger is rising, and James still cannot get Lily to go out with him. Join us as we explore the little-known story of James and Lily's past.
**Although this is a James/Lily fic, the Marauders also star in it as well.
3/12/10 I've been editing and I'm pretty sure I'm going to take this up again...
Oh, I didn't find this chapter boring at all! Quite the contrary, I thought it sets up several very interesting situations - the suspense! ;) It's also sweet how James just can't keep his eyes off Lily...
Author's Response: Why thank you! It was meant to set some things up for future chapters, I\'m glad you picked up on that! Yeah, I figure that even though Lily is now somewhat more \'friendly\' with the Marauders, James would still be more than a little fond of her... Thanks for the review! :-)

As Harry, Ron, and Hermione set off on an arduous journey to discover the truth about the murders, mystery, secrets, adventure and romance abounds, and Harry must finally confront Ginny about a dark secret from his past. Pairs: R/Hr; Ginny/Harry/OC/Charlie
Beautiful ending! Thanks for this story and A Bend in the Road, I've really enjoyed both. Any plans for a sequel to the sequel?
Author's Response: I\'m so glad you enjoyed the stories. It as a joy to write them. No plans for a sequel . . . but then again, there\'s always another bend in the road. If you and others want a sequel, let me know! aurorahope
Summary: My take on the first of those 'nineteen years' between the 36th chapter of DH and the epilogue.
Warnings: contains an unusually-shaped ring, a nosy neighbour, a rude shop assistant, shaving mishaps, thoughtful gestures, threatening goblins, and, unexplained appearances of Romantic!Ron and Romantic!Harry. You have been warned.
Rating is for *mild* innuendo and *mostly* innocent interactions but I wouldn't let my 9 year old read it.
Really enjoying this story so far - any chance for an update soon? Thanks for sharing your creativity. :)
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review! Sorry for the delay in responding - I often don't get notifications anymore when I get a review. I actually will have some uninterrupted time to write this summer. I'm so excited! I will be able to finish my story finally! cj
Summary: A weekend trip to the mysterious Rose Cottage leads to Ginny's second pregnancy and Hermione's first. The Potters and Weasleys take on “The Next Great Adventure” as they anticipate the births of Albus Potter and Rose Weasley.
What a cliffhanger! I'm now completely hooked on your story and am anxiously awaiting the next chapter. Can we expect a new chapter soon? Thanks!!!
Author's Response: Hooked, eh? My evil plan is definitely working! A new chapter has been posted. Now it\'s up to the mods to validate. Thanks for reviewing.
I am immensely enjoying your story! Looking forward to future chapters...
...and please tell me that James and Lily will be visitors #6 and #7! :)
Author's Response: Well, you obviously realize I can\'t answer that question. You\'ll just have to wait and see. I\'m very glad you\'re enjoying the story. Thanks for your comments.

Winner of the 2008 Quick Silver Quills Award for Best General Story.
The first book in the Alexandra Quick series.
The war against Voldemort never reached America, but all is not well there. When 11-year-old Alexandra Quick learns she is a witch, she is plunged into a world of prejudices, intrigue, and danger. Who wants Alexandra dead, and why?
This story is canon-compliant with the Harry Potter universe, but the characters and settings are all original. I've put a lot of work into envisioning a world as detailed as the original series; I hope you enjoy it.
Hodag? One of the high schools in the area where I grew up had a mascot called the Hodag. Nice to see a local legend show up in a fantastic story! Really enjoying the read so far...
Summary: The final installment in the Potter’s Pentagon Trilogy. Read “The Five” and “The Truth” first, myess? Okay!
WARNING! Contains Muggle adventures in Diagon Alley, unusual eyebrows, cheesy clichés galore, psycho Ted, the not-so-lost years of Merlin, a school-wide singalong, the old potato joke, Tyrone’s Princess Bride obsession, Emma’s stubborn denial of the existence of Tyrone’s mustache, a graphic death, a joke shop product as a major plot device, hobo Jordan, Jordan hugging, Jordan pulling pranks, time travel, the Love Shack, angst, and worst of all, Professor Zabini.
It’s the sixth year for Potter’s Pentagon and company, and our heroes learn that in the wizarding world, coming of age has a somewhat weightier significance. Students are busy with an Inter-House Unity Project, Jordan is having weird dreams, Pansy and Ophidias Malfoy have been released from Azkaban, Professor Zabini has a mysterious project of his own, and almost everyone is acting strangely. Meanwhile, at the Ministry of Magic, a man with a vendetta against Ron Weasley is trying his hardest to get him in the biggest trouble possible. Is the only way to save him to travel into the past?
New talents are discovered, new friendships form and old ones change, pasts are dredged up, and, of course, there’s lots of good old-fashioned snogging. And one of the five kills for the first time… while another becomes a casualty of war.
Starring 2008 Quicksilver Quills Best Male Original Character runner-up Jordan Potter, Best Female Original Character nominees Ivy Potter, Haley Potter, Emma Weasley, and Giorgi Anderson, and Best Male Original Character nominee Ted Lupin! Nominated for 2008 Quicksilver Quills Best Post-Hogwarts Story.
You do indeed have reviewers left - I can't wait to see more of your excellent story! :)
Author's Response: Well, I updated awhile ago, but it still hasn't been posted!
Harry Potter had seen death - a lot of death. Friends had passed in his lifetime, more so than any one person should ever experience, but how much is too much, even for the Chosen One?
Ron Weasley is dead, leaving behind his wife and his best mate. How can these two cope with their Trio being cut down to two? And when danger lurks in the shadows, can they find the strength to fight for one another?
Liking the story so far - looking forward to more! :)
I'm glad you enjoy the story. I saw a need for some fresh Harmony on the archives, and as it's one of my favourite ships, I decided to add this as a side project. Sadly, updates won't always be lightning quick, but as the chapters are shorter, they will be more frequent than, say, my typical 4000-6000 word chapters.
Thanks for reading, and I hope to hear from you later. :D
Summary: Percy Weasley has finally found, at age twenty-one, a decent place to live and a level ground with his family. The only thing troubling him in his life is not knowing what is holding him back from promotion at the Ministry.
His life is as uncomplicated as he could ever want. That is until a homeless young woman with the ability to make him as nervous as a schoolboy shows up on his door. His Gryffindor chivalry demands he help her and her terrible situation, but the feelings she stirs in him are far from gentlemanly.
Audrey Sparks has a job to do. An undercover job involving Percy Weasley. But she soon learns that her conscience won't let her merely steal from him and then leave.
Hearts may well be stolen instead. A Percy Weasley/Audrey Sparks Romance
Glad to see you back and this story continuing. No worries, there are people reading it! :)
Over fifty people died at the Battle of Hogwarts. There are dozens of stories of loss, betrayal, heroism and sacrifice. These are some of those stories.
Nominated for: Best General (Chaptered) story – Quicksilver Quills 2011
I have so enjoyed your series and am sad that updates will no longer regularly brighten (if that's the correct word for such a somber story) my inbox. Thank you for sharing your talent!
Thanks for the review. I tried to make a couple of chapters lighter than most, but no story about the battle was going to be a bundle of laughs, was it?-N-
Summary: Starring one quirky redhead, one spunky blonde, one klutzy brunette and two boys who tag along. They're all the best of friends, but can it stay that way? Will they always be right up the road for each other? The ups, downs, joys and excitements of being a fourteen year old witch and the only daughter of the Boy Who Lived.
A fun start - I look forward to more! :)
Author's Response: Thank you! More is most definetly coming soon :) Have a great day! -bri
Summary: This important question needs to be answered. Reputations are at stake.
Brilliant! I love all of your stories and am always excited when a new one comes out. Thanks for sharing your talent. :)
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I try to make sure that there is always something from me in the queue, although at the moment, there is not. -N-
