Hey, I'm SpottedOwl and I'm back!!!! MWHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! I'm 13 and live in the US, Michigan to be exact. I've been a Potter Head since '03. (I know, I was late.) I'm writing again (yay!) and I've got a couple of stories I'm working on.
In case you haven't noticed, I'm REALLY random! You can blame my friend Emily for that (thanks to her, its randomness day!)
this is not a plot bunny, not yet anyway. i keep him around for inspiration, and a good laugh. his name is Tommi. you can pet him if you want!
One last very important thing: SHIPS!!! I ship in cannon: H/G, R/Hr, Remus/Tonks, Draco/Pansy, and Dobby/Winky (don't ask me why). In fanfiction: Draco/Hermione, Draco/Ginny, Harry/Hermione, James/Lily (they're my favorite!), and some Sirius/OC.
TTYL, TTFN, and all that other IM junk---
oooh, these one-shots are awesome! if its the end of the series... *bursts into tears* oh well, keep writing!
Summary: For the rest of the Ministry, the interdepartmental challenge was merely a failed attempt to restore trust between workers. But for Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger, it was the catalyst for an unexpected relationship built on passionate letters, concealed identities, and secret meetings – and the beginning of an end that neither of them could ever have imagined possible, not even in their wildest dreams.
Post-war. Based somewhat on the story of the Phantom of the Opera. Also contains R/Hr, so don't read if you can't stomach that ship.
Status: Complete. Thanks for reading, everyone!
i read the alternate ending, and i thought it was too fluffy. i like this one much better! i especially like the spilled-ink-on-the-gravestone thing. beautiful story. im sad to see it end. and to all the people who complained about the sad ending, life isn't always sunshine and butterflies.
i feel sooooooo sorry for kay! poor girl, she didn't know any better. i wouldn't be kay for a million dollars right now. anyhoo, great story! this is the best D/Hr fic i've ever read. your killing me, hurry hurry hurry and update! luv it!
love it! it (the part where hermione leaves) was based off the phantom of the opera, wasn't it? the movie? very good. i can't wait for the end!
Summary: “Why are you here?” Monicola asked quietly.
“Not for tea, I can tell you that much.” Hawk reached into his pocket and withdrew a small vial full of a thick red liquid. “Thirsty?”
Monicola’s eyes grew wide with fear. “Hawk, don’t even think about it. You know what blood does to me this early.”
“Exactly,” he whispered and then kissed her on the lips.
All in one motion Hawk was on top of her, the cork in the vial was off, and his wrist was tilted, threatening to drip the liquid in her mouth.
Harry has been introduced to one of Lupin's "old friends" who has asked her to become the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher despite her more serious attribute. Asked to tell of her knowledge of Sirius Black, the possible new DADA professor embarks on a tale that could explain Sirius' death.
The Final Chapter is in queue. Thanks to all my fans.
very original. i like the title. a bit confusing at first, but it all made sense at the end. the charlie plot line was hilarious! 10/10!
Summary: What caused Lily to loathe James and James to loathe Lily? How did they come to fall in love? What bumps and bruises did they acquire along the way? From hexing to comforting, this is the way it all started. Endure dangers and hardships, perplexity and mind games, and matters of the heart.
*growls* grrr, please update! its KILLING me to wait for the next chapter! this is one of the best stories i've ever read! update and make sequals, please and thankyou.
Summary: It's the night of Christmas Eve, and James is enlisting Remus' help in formulating a plan to snog Lily. After a bit of talk and some trouble with mistletoe, though, something that definitely wasn't planned happens.
sweet, but a bit, ahem, disturbing. well written though!
Lily Evans has never particularily liked James Potter, but when she decides to look at him in a different light, she may change her mind... One shot song-fic, based on the song Everywhere by Michelle Branch.
so sweet and fluffy, but a good fluff. that is one of the best songfics i've ever read. 100,000,000/10! i love that song, its sweet and sad, too. kudos :-D!!!!!!!
Author's Response: oohh thanks so much for the wicked review!!! I\'m really glad you like it, thanks again :D:D
Lily Evans is not the sort of girl who would normally be found writing in a diary. Yet, when she starts, she finds that the easiest way to overcome all the obstacles in life is to let her emotions out onto paper.
well, didn't see THAT kiss coming! great job so far.
wow! very different. lily is normally seen as this perfect girl, but you've written her very realisticly. witty, funny, and well written. there's a reason you're one of my favorite authors! love the "toodles" part!
Summary: Times change, people change… hearts break, but can they be mended? What is it like to lose contact with the one you love, only to find them at your doorstep years later when you least expect it? What would it be like to watch them fall to pieces before your very eyes? It breaks your heart.
As Ginny contemplates what life would be like if she had chosen another path, she learns the hard way that it can be so difficult to say goodbye...
A one-shot songfic to "I Still..." by The Backstreet Boys.
i SO did not see that ending coming! good job with that plot twist. well, take that with a grain of salt; im feeling a bit blonde today :-). spectacular job, but i felt ginny was a little sappy and some of her conversations with molly were a little.......stiff. but very good, 10/10!
Summary: Warnings: the following poems may contain sarcasm, witty repartee, little black dresses, and Inter-Office Unity events.
hehehe. Loved it! I didn't see the whole "married" thing coming, and boy was it a shock! I was like, "wait, they're married?" But Draco's "goddess" poem was so like him, sweet and romantic but sarcastic at the end! One of the funniest Hr/D fics I've ever read!!
Author's Response: Thank you very much for all your kind words. I have to admit I was intending to broadside people with their affair, so I\'m rather gratified you didn\'t see it coming. Anyway, you have to love Draco, especially when he\'s trying to be sincere (it doesn\'t always work very well, does it?).
Summary: This was written in response to the Hufflepuff April Fools Humor stories as requested in the common room. This particular story was written for HP_Ber, who requested her story be written on the topic of a misunderstanding. Ron/Hermione romance.
absolutly laugh out loud funny! the harry/cho comment you worked in there was side-splitting. good job!
Summary: For the Hogwarts Guantlet challenge by coppercurls of Hufflepuff house. Draco is invited to participate in a maze and earn a prize beyond imagining. However, this is no ordinary maze. If he is to survive, he must look deep inside himself to discover the answers for his survival.
excellent, you are SO going on my favorite author page. nice symbolism in the maze. gotta love the ferret :-).
Author's Response: Thanks very much. I\'m glad you understood the choices I was trying to show with Draco.
Summary: June/July Challenge 3: A Great Love.
Halle Weasley, plain, boring, brown-haired Halle Weasley suddenly feels all alone in the world, despite the new addition to her family.
Can one friend make all the difference as together they contemplate the different kinds of love?
By Lurid of Ravenclaw House.
cute! funny and not mushy, which is a first for a romance fic. love the peanuts quote. 10/10!
Author's Response: Awww, thank you so much! Sorry ti took so long to respond!
Summary: It is England in the early 1800's, Bonapart is reigning in France and tensions between the two countries are running high. Phillip must face the secrets of his past while still surviving in the present. It takes the portrait of a remarkable girl to teach him that he can find trust in a world gone mad.
Winner of the June/July monthly challenge, #1: autobiography, and overall winner. By coppercurls of Hufflepuff house.
brilliant! i absolutely loved it! sad, yet happy and amazingly detailed. keep writing!
Author's Response: Thank you very much. To date, this is my favorite piece of fanfiction that I have written, so it is very nice to know that others enjoyed it too. Thanks again!
Summary: After many long years, Tom Riddle's diary is finally found. Written from Tom's PoV.
cool. what ginny writes is very believable. i never really imagined what riddle must have been thinking while writing to ginny. awsome, 10/10!
Summary: This is my take on what happens in the 'last battle' between Voldemort and Harry. After the fifth Horcrux is found and destroyed by Hermione, Ron, Harry and Ginny, there is one more left to be demolished and Voldemort will no longer be immortal. Will Harry be able to reach the last Horcrux in time in order to defeat Voldemort? Are his instincts leading him in the right direction or is it leading him into more danger than he expected? Read and find out! I promise you won't be disappointed.
This wonderful banner was made by Whittyleah and the drawing in the background was drawn by HPobsession (my old Beta =[).
oh, very good. so sad but so believable. i think that would be a great way to end the series. was this inspired by a piece of fan art? i think i saw it on mugglenet. 10/10!
Summary: Well known for her horrible acne, Eloise Midgen is one of the least popular girls at Hogwarts. She is besotted with the one and only Ronald Weasley, but he only notices her to make fun of her. Her best (and only) friend Marietta Millen tells her to relax and enjoy life, but Eloise has seriously considered leaving Hogwarts permanently because only one person (Marietta) knows her for who she really is. Will she ever learn to be happy with what she's got?
very good AND original. you've touched on a topic most writers avoid. Marietta seems like an amazing person to stick with Eloise even though Marietta is obviously so popular. a little flat, though. 9/10.
Author's Response: Thanks soo much for the honest criticism. I came up with the idea for this story when I had a case of writer\'s block and couldn\'t think of anything to write about, so I just thought, Hey! Nobody ever talks about Eloise that much, that\'d be something I could kind of take license with, so.. Okay, I\'m rambling.
Summary: They told me not to cry at night
They told me not to add
Harry is dead. Ginny mourns.
finally, a good, emotional poem that doesn't gag you with its metaphors and all that fancy stuff. clear, simple and well voiced. i loved the last part!
"They don’t understand
Why I must cry.
I don’t understand
Why he had to die."
so true and raw. my only complaint, it was too short!
Author's Response: Yay a review! =) Thanks! And yeah, I know it was short, but it was getting really hard to stay true to the beat/rythym/rhyming, so... Thanks for reviewing!!!!! *huggles*~ H_o_I_
