All right, just for the fun of it, here is a little bit about me. Yes, I write HP stories. I do this as a bit of a break while I work on my own fiction. Yes, I think that J.K. Rowling rocks! To put it mildly. And thank you, Ms. Rowling, for letting me play with you toys!
Actually, I don't write YA on my own, which is part of what makes this so fun. It's a diversion, when I don't have to worry about what my characters are doing. Need a cure for writer's block? Borrow some vividly created characters, and plot with plenty of room for footwark!
In my spare time, I'm a starving artist. Once upon a time I ran, played basketball and tennis, and generally had a life. Oh, to have dreams! No, I'm not married, nor do I have any kids. Speaking of elusive dreams...ah well.
Thanks for dropping by, and my best wishes!
LOL! This explains a lot!:
You scored as Sirius. You are most like Sirius! You are generally nice and loyal to those you love.

That was certainly an...interesting battle. Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. Why didn't they simply Apparate away? For that matter, why didn't Harry leave when he realized that Voldemort was actually using the property? They were only there to reconnoiter, after all. He could have returned with reinforcements, members of the Order and Aurors.
Author's Response: Yeah, that would have been more intelligent, wouldn\'t it? Honestly, the didn\'t Apparate away because they were in a pressure situation and simply didn\'t think of it. Harry\'s made that sort of mistake before, and it\'s a very realistic thing to happen. Now, why didn\'t he leave as soon as he realized the property was being used by Voldemort? Well, because he thought they would just be looking around, and the fact that Nagini could see through Invisibility Cloaks never even crossed his mind. I fully agree that the Trio did not handle this situation in the most intelligent manner, but they got a bit careless in their hurry. You make some excellent points; it\'s good to know you\'re thinking about this.
Author's Response: Thank you. I actually don't remember reading about Harry hitting more than one person with a single spell in HBP. If you know where/when that happened, could you let me know? I'd really appreciate it.
Reread the scene in the cavern, after Harry pours water on Dumbledore's face. The fight with the Inferi. One place I considered a clear sign that Harry is getting more powerful.
Author's Response: That\'s a VERY good point! I had actually forgotten all about that part. Of course, one could argue that it only worked that way because they were inferi, rather than actual living people, but I like your idea better. Thank you very much for pointing that out!
I'll slip some love your way, Nuw--but NOT eight times worth! LOL!
As always, wonderful writing, and I think that you did some excellent (and intricate) characterization this time around. Thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks, Igo; I really appreciate it. I\'m glad you enjoyed the chapter, and the characterization in particular. :-)
Ahhh...R.A.B. They saved the easy one for last.
Assuming, of course, that the snake is a Horcrux?
Nice story, Nuw--but how long are you going to torture Jarius?
Author's Response: Harry is pretty certain about Nagini, but I suppose there\'s always a chance that he\'s wrong. Jarius will be tortured until he decides to do something about it -- he\'s torturing himself, after all.
Author's Response: Umm... Okay.
Cool! I got to read it before I was notified! Great, elaborate. involved, and well written chaper! Loved it! Am I gushing enough?
I do want to see Fred and George's reaction!
Author's Response: Thank you! I haven\'t written the twins\' reaction yet (mainly because they don\'t know about the spell yet), but if I can work in a good reaction I\'ll definitely write it. :-)
Author's Response: Tha...Of course, one could argue that it only worked that way because they were inferi, rather than actual living people...
That's a valid possibility, except that the Incarcerous spell had nothing to do with whether they were alive or not--it was as many different sets of ropes. Too bad Harry didn't remember it when he reached the tower--and obviously Dumbledore hadn't seen it. He could have tied up everyone, then freed his friends.
Of course, he was under a bit of stress as well.
Author's Response: You make an excellent point. I shall have to keep that in mind for future battles....
I was just thinking that if anyone could ask Arthur Weasley for anything (including his precious daughter), it would be Harry Potter, who has saved so many Weasley lives (as mentioned by Arthur and Molly after Ron was injured). Even Fred and George owe him their shop, and Bill arguably owes Harry, for he'd never have met her without Harry.
Then Ginny hit's 'em with the "get married now" part.
But I'm off, as I said. Time to concentrate on my "real" writing--though I'll try to update my MNFF stories here and there, as well.
Author's Response: Like I said, Igo: I\'ll miss you. I think you\'re right about Harry being more able to ask Arthur for Ginny\'s hand than anybody else, but with Molly still looking at both of them as children, it won\'t be quite that easy. Good luck with your real writing. Maybe someday I\'ll do some real writing too! ;-)
Oh yeah...Elizabeth Dumbledore?
Author's Response: Huh? Not sure who that is. Sorry.
All right, then. Tom's the new DADA instructor. ;)
Author's Response: Tom who? Tom Riddle? That would be interesting...
Hmm...fortunately, anyone who was present (or watching) can pull out their memory and use a Penseive to see what happened to Bill. And no, I was sure that it wasn't Dumbledore all along, so I wasn't upset. Albus himself would have fought Voldemort with his brother. But Remus kissing 'him' was a bit much...
Author's Response: That\'s a VERY interesting point. And I agree about Albus fighting. I thought that would be a pretty big giveaway. Sorry for the kissing thing; I realize I was walking a pretty fine line there, which is why I revealed who it really was immediately thereafter instead of dragging it out.
Only one little problem, Nuw. in OotP, Dumbledore pointsot
Author's Response: Oops! You got cut off. I\'ll answer the other one.
Only one problem, Nuw. In OotP, Dumbledore points out that Harry can enter Voldy's mind effortlessly. It's when Voldy possesses Harry that there is excruciating pain.
Author's Response: Did Dumbledore say that? I honestly don\'t remember, and I\'m away from home for the weekend and can\'t look it up myself. I was just remembering that Harry\'s scar always hurts after (and/or during) his \'visions,\' regardless of whether they\'re real or not. If I remember correctly, Dumbledore told Harry that the power he possesses (love) is what has kept him from being contaminated by his exposure to Voldemort\'s mind. I don\'t remember him ever saying that it didn\'t hurt Harry, but then again, it\'s been a while since I read OotP. I\'ll have to check it out.
Unfortunately, this is one of those times where I have opened up an issue (Harry might be a Horcrux) and now have to resolve it. This was my way of resolving it, and if I did away with this scene, I\'d be at a loss as to how to prove to Harry that he\'s not a Horcrux. So, basically, I really appreciate you pointing this out but I\'m going to have to leave it. Chalk it up to another reason for the AU warning if you want to. ;-)
Ummm--yeah--Ginny was sending the nightmare?
Author's Response: Nope. Just Harry\'s subconscious. :)
Duh. Sirius was Black, and now he'll be White. I'm risking getting banned for a guess? lol.
Author's Response: lol! Not one of your better guesses, I\'m afraid, but fun nonetheless.
Well, at least Harry won't have to lie to Ron and Hermione much longer. ;)
Author's Response: True. Of course, if he dies it will be kind of hard to tell them the truth...
Oh yeah...and so it's Ginny's curse that removes the stray Voldie soul fragment? Considering COS, that would be fitting... YaY Nuw!
Author's Response: That would be a good guess, but we\'ve already established that, in this story, Harry is NOT a Horcrux. Keep guessing, though! ;-)
Very nice. I'm assuming Mr. Weasley expected Harry to ask for Ginny's hand?
Oh, there's a typo, "hear" instead of "heart". I think it was this chapter...
Author's Response: Actually, Mr. Weasley had no idea what to expect. As far as he knows, Harry and Ginny are \"just friends,\" though, so he definitely wasn\'t expecting that. It would be interesting, though.
Thanks for pointing out the typo. I just went back and fixed it.
Thanks, Nuw. Nice resolution!
Author's Response: Thank you! I\'m glad you liked it.
"I'm sure Vernon will be back to his usual blustering self once the shock wears off and he's sure he's out of danger."
But will that be anytime soon, surrounded by magic at Grimmauld Place? LOL!
Author's Response: Well, we\'ll just have to see. I had some computer trouble and ended up losing the next chapter, so when I rewrite it, it might end up a bit different than it was before. Thanks for reviewing!
