I am a 32 year old pastor of a small church in rural Alabama. I think Harry Potter has an incredible amount of positives for this generation of children. I have a beautiful wife, who reminds me a great deal of Hermione, and two wonderful daughters, the oldest is 2, the youngest just born. Someday they will read these books with mommy and daddy there to explain all the magic stuff.
Harry Potter and the Power of Emotion by Melindaleo
Rated: [Reviews - 764]
Summary: Harry is struggling to come to terms with the events of his fifth year. Can he learn to depend on those he considers family and become what he needs to be in order to survive?
One of the things I really like about the books, is that the kids get to make mistakes and do things that are at some points wrong. The adults for the most part ACT like adults and when they find out respond in an appropriate way. That is what you did here with the drinking from some chapters back. Good chapter! And good story
Evil Villainy for Dummies by Hermiones_Revenge
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 587]
Summary: (Hi, I wrote this when I was 16, please keep that in mind. I'm keeping it up because people still like it.)
So, you want to be an evil villain? In this handbook that a certain Hogwarts student purchases, all of the rules, techniques, and frequently asked questions about evil villainy are explained. Do you have what it takes? And what will happen to the student who purchases the book? Another story from the strange, twisted, and slightly unfortunate Hermione's Revenge.
You are one of my favorites on this site. So much so that in a General fic I am working on there are a couple of references to "Oh the insanity." great work.

I think the voices Ideas is great. That is a very creative way to explain some of the differences in abilities. Great story I hope you are still checking your reviews. Good Stuff!
I am getting to this rathe late in the game so I hope you are still checking your reviews. This is one of the best first chapters I have read. Extremely interesting and has me hooked for the rest of the story. Great job!
Very good stuff. I am really enjoying this and the interplay between Ron, Hermione and Harry's love triangle is really interesting. I haven't really seen that on yet so Bravo to you!!

Tortures and killings have started, but how much of it is all just a decoy in the great scheme of things? This time, Harry must leave the comfort of his friends and face his darkest fear.
great Story. This is the first "angst/darkness" fic I have really gotten into. I love what you did with Snape. I look forward to reading the sequel.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! Welcom to the darkside - there are loads of fantastic Dark/angsty fics out there so I hope there\'ll be plenty more that catch your interest! The sequel is being posted now and I really hope you\'ll like it.

Dear Dumby by Oppungo
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 715]
Summary: What happens when Dumbledore has his latest "brilliant" idea, to start an advice column, and call it 'Dear Dumby'? Letters from some of our favourite Hogwarts students, some of our not so favourite Hogwarts students, some not even Hogwarts students at all, and, of course, lots of madness!
Pre-HBP for obvious reasons!
Nominee for the Best Humour Award in the Quicksilver Quill Awards! Many thanks to all who voted for it!
Great stuff. Truly funny and different. We like different.
Author's Response: Thanks - I\'m glad! Yes, different is good...
Way to funny, I love the Voldemort doesn't get sarcasm. Makes sense though.
Author's Response: Thank you. No, Voldemort has always been too respected/feared to have sarcasm used against him, so naturally he\'s not used to it! Thanks for reviewing!
12 Days of Christmas at Hogwarts by Tania Dalyn4
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 118]
Summary: Challenge #4- for Hufflepuff house.
The inspiration for this version of "12 Days" is one of my favorite xmas tunes "The 12 Pains of Christmas". At the end of each stanza, the lines in parentheses are Harry's musings on the gifts of that day. I fixed the 8th day, thanks everyone!
Nearly fell out of my chair!!!!! That was great!!!!
Tragedies, Tears and Black Velvet Boxes by Oppungo

Interesting, a little angsty for my taste but always good to see a different twist on things.
Author's Response: Thank you for giving it a shot, even if it isn\'t quite to your taste. I have many happier stories up if you would like to read them, and there are many good ones in my favourite lists that are more light hearted than this one. Thanks for giving your opinions in such a mature manner =)
Head Over Feet by Liisa

Summary: Over ten years after Hogwarts, Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny find that they can't escape from all their problems just yet. Loosly based on Oscar Wilde's "An Ideal Husband". RHr HG
Ok, couple of things. First you did a wonderful job on the romance stuff in this chapter, you should be proud of it. Secondly, you should remove that little blurp at the beginning about how you don't like this chapter. Again is fanastic.
This has been a truly enjoyable fanfic so thank you for writing it. Take Care
The Seventh Horcrux by Melindaleo

Summary: The hunt for the Horcruxes begins. Harry has to decide who to trust as he moves closer to fulfilling his destiny. Will he be able to find and destroy all the Horcruxes? And at what price? Will he be able to find the strength within himself – the Power the Dark Lord Knows Not – in order to succeed in vanquishing Voldemort? And…can he do it and still get the girl? Join Harry and his faithful friends on their quest to finally defeat a Dark Lord.
Another great chapter. Just a quick note, Hermione would never put her top on inside out. Ron may not put his pants on right but Hermione doesn't make those types of mistakes. :) Can't wait to read the next chapter. Hope the move goes well.
Author's Response: Anyone can make that kind of mistake in a dark cupboard - even Hermione. ;)
Wonderful ending, didn't see it coming at all. Glad Harry and Ginny remained chaste as well. Keep up the wonderful writing.
Author's Response: Thanks! I\'m so glad to hear you didn\'t see it coming. I\'d hoped that would work and people would see how Harry would be surprised.
Great chapter as always. I am glad that Harry didn't spend the whole chapter upset about Remus and Tonks. The idea that he is handling these things better because he is maturing and has someone to help him is very good. I love the story and look forward to a reread when you have finished.
Author's Response: Thanks! Yes, I do think it should be different this time for Harry since he has a support group surrounding him now rather than being sent off to deal all alone.
Ok, I hate to admint it but I like drunk Harry as well. I liked him in the other big stories you wrote, although I think, too much pain potion Harry is fun as well. Keep up the good work.
Author's Response: Ha! Oh, I\'d forgotten about that, lol. Thanks. I\'m glad you enjoyed him.
I absolutly love your writting. I didn't like aspects of this chapter (check my profile and it should be obvious why) but, you handled it in a good way. Keep writing and doing a wonderful job.
Author's Response: I understand completely. Know that I didn\'t make the decision lightly, and went back and forth for some time over it. To me, however, for THIS story, it just seemed right. Thanks so much for taking the time to let me know you enjoyed other parts of it. :)
I really like all the rap up details. Makes all the anguish we go through during the story worth it. Good to see Harry and Ginny happy.
Author's Response: Thanks! That\'s exactly what I think! I l ove angsty stories, but I think they need a decent, happy ending to make it all worthwhile.
Ok, I don't really know if I like this chapter or not. Drunk Harry is so much more fun then dead Remus and Tonks. :)
Actually, once Voldemort got into the ministry it seemed the only way out was someone important getting killed so I can live with it. Great story so far keep us the good work.
Author's Response: Well, I can understand not liking it - but I am happy you can see how it worked. Thanks!
Wonderful story and extremely well done. Even the parts I didn't like (few and far between) were still very well exicuted. Sad news about a sequel but I will certainly be looking forward to anything you post. Great Job!!!!
Author's Response: Thanks! I\'m glad you enjoyed it.
