Hi, I'm Valentinia, your typical Harry Potter obsessed teen.

I've read the HP books so many times that I've lost count, but I'm guessing most of you on MNFF have done the same!

Otherwise, I'm pretty boring.
My favorite band is Evanescence.
My favorite HP characters are Luna "Loony" Lovegood and Petunia Dursley.
My favorite HP book is PoA.
My favorite HP chapter is "Career Advice" from OotP.
My favorite HP film is probably OotP.
My favorite HP actor is Evanna Lynch. There're a lot of great ones though!

I'm an all-out Ron/Hermione, Luna/Harry and Ginny/Neville shipper. *Sigh*. I know, I know, Canon just sort of ruined those last two. Still, Harry/Ginny was okay. I guess.

I also love stories about Parvati, Padma and Lavender, because I think they deserve some character and depth and they're often deprived of it and made into girly non-humans.

And here some cool things from other people's profiles:

Weird is good, strange is bad, and odd is when you don't know which to call someone. Weird is the same as different, which is the same as unique,so weird is good. If you are weird and proud of it, copy this onto your profile!

92 percent of American teens would die if Abercombie and Fitch told them it was uncool to breathe. Copy this in your profile if you would be the 8 percent that would be laughing your head off.

If you're one of those people who get excited when you see just two reviews, paste this into your profile.

If you've been on the computer for hours on end, reading numerous fanfictions, copy this into your profile

If you don't watch Laguna Beach or the O.C. or The Hills religiously, never have, never will, and are proud of it, copy and paste this into your profile.

You know you live in 2007 when...

1. You go to a party, sit down and take MySpace pics.

2. You haven’t played solitaire with real cards in years.

3. The reason for not staying in touch with your friends is that they don't have AIM/LiveJournal/MySpace.

4. You'd rather look all over the house for the remote instead of just pushing the button on the TV.

6. Your evening activity is sitting at the computer.

7. You read this list, and keep nodding and smiling.

8. You think about how stupid you are for reading this.

9. You were too busy to notice number five.

10. You actually scrolled back up to check if there was a number five.

11. And now you're laughing at your stupidity.

12. Put this in your pro if you fell for it. You know you did.

Ninety-five percent of teenagers are concerned about being popular. If you are one of the five percent who aren't, copy this, put it in your profile, and add your name to the list: Queen S of Randomness 016, Queen B of Randomness 016, AnimieKittyCaffe, The Gypsy Pirate Queen, That Bloody Demon, The Astrology Nerd, Shadow929, Crazy Billie Joe Loving Freak, Yavie Aelienel, Hyperactively Bored, Spymaster E, Shanny-Boo, Gem W, Brown-eyed angelofmusic, piratesswriter/fairy to be, Bara-Minomoto, Em Quagmire, Buffy The Mary-Sue Slayer, Random Little Writer, SamanthaFantasyFan, EdwardAddict, Supergirrl, Elemental-ANimal, Mother Nature's Daughter, Schmerg_The_Impaler, Carmona, Hanabi, Valentinia

The Love of a Brother by Seren

Reviewer: Valentinia Signed
Date: 07/29/06 Title: Chapter 1: The Love of a Brother

Just like "The Love of a Sister" this story is really touching. Things like this really do happen all the time, and it's important that people realize it and try to help. I take my hat off to Susan and to the author.

The Love of a Sister by Seren

Summary: He touched him... he touched him there, and he doesn't know what to do, and the Devil will come and steal his eyes for it, because he reacted. He reacted, and he has been shamed, and now he is light-forsaken, doomed to return back to that room and let the demon touch him, hurt him, bleed him. Graham Pritchard is being abused, and he doesn't know what to do- but he finds salvation in the most unlikely of people.

Poor Graham! I'm so glad Susan was there to save him. This is a very poweful story, with an important message. You've written it perfectly, too!

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •

A one-shot about how sometimes, when it seems like nothing is worth living for, we find that it was there all along.

Wow. I can totally understand every thought Lupin has in this fic. I also don't really think it was more of a depressed!Lupin than we see in the books; in fact I think he seems very in character, And I do like the ending a lot. Did not see that coming, but it worked wonderfully!

Author's Response: Hmm, thank you! Hearing the ending was good is a relief, lol. I appreciate your review.

He Made the Stars Fall by cor_leonis

Summary: Petunia reflects back on the first time she met James Potter. Their introduction was quite different than she'd expected it to be, and not exactly what she'd hoped for.
Reviewer: Valentinia Signed
Date: 09/18/06 Title: Chapter 1: He Made the Stars Fall

Cute. I love stories about Petunia, and I think you've done a good job of capturing her feelings of inadequacy and of wanting to please everyone in this one. Also, I like the idea of making the stars fall, and Petunia's mixed feelings about Harry. Vernon is an... I mean, a... pig... though!

Whether We Wear Masks by Seren

Summary: 'There is no black and white, Blaise.' Hermione teaches Blaise that she knows about hatred and discrimination. Warning for historical references to racism.
Reviewer: Valentinia Signed
Date: 09/09/06 Title: Chapter 1: Whether We Wear Masks

Wow. I love the idea of Hermione showing him all that in order to help him understand. It's such a natural thing, really, to show him how people he accepts to be
"his kind" are treated with the same terror people he used to think were "below him" are shown. A very powerful story about racism and acceptance.

When Hermione says "no black and white," though, I would add something like "no pure and unclean," to show that both of "their kinds" have been wronged, but that they still have the hope of reconciliation.

Corollary by Seren

great story!! you - and harry- are absolutely right! tom did need a friend and it really shows the compassionate side of harry that he realizes that!

I Am With You by RagingStorm71117

Summary: Harry tries desperately to cope wth all the deatth he has seen. One-shot. I'm amazed I didn't cry when I wrote this... HBP spoilers.
Reviewer: Valentinia Signed
Date: 09/18/06 Title: Chapter 1: One

A powerful story of loss. I like how Harry, in all his guilt tries to blame Dumbledore for leaving him, and I'm sure this just makes him feel more guilty. You've really conveyed the real emotions of someone who has lost someone close to them. I'm not sure if the scene with the locket is really neccessary, though.

Also, when you say:

"His mother had left him.
His father had left him.
Cedric had died.
Sirius had left him.
Dumbledore had left him."

it sounds a bit odd to have Cedric be the only one who hasn't "left him" - but it would still be strange if you said "Cedric had left him."

My suggestion would be something like:

His parents had left him to life with the Dursley's
Cedric had left him alone in that graveyard.
Sirius had left with no one to take care of him.
Dumbledore had left him alone in a war with Voldemort.

Something sorta like that. Otherwise, great story, great emotions!

Author's Response: The scene with the locket was sneaky. It\'s very importantto what follows after, but that\'s okay - only a few people have picked up on it, sadly. Since this is only a one-shot, I won;t be writing about what follows after... so suffice it to say that the locket is a very useful little tool for Harry. Yeah, I know those lines are awkward - but I wanted the power of short, stacatto lines and couldn\'t really say Cedric \"left him\" - they were never close, were they? So even though it\'s awkward (and your suggestion is a very good one) I\'m leavin\' it alone... Glad you liked it. :) Cheers, ~*~LIZ

'Yes' by nat089

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: James Potter usually accepts dares without batting an eyelash. However, this time, while he’s on a dare, he's also on a personal mission. But first, he’s anxiously waiting for Lily to turn up. What does Lily have to do with this dare? And what will she say when she finds out?

(One shot)

[Author's Note]
Before you start commenting that the dare was unromantic, please please read the 2nd sentence of the 4th paragraph. I clearly state that "James was steeling himself to do SOMETHING HE WANTED TO DO VERY MUCH EVEN WITHOUT BEING DARED TO". In other words, the dare was the catalyst, not the cause. It only served to spur him into action; it didn't give him the intention of doing what he did (I'm trying not to give out spoilers here, so read to find out what - though you can probably guess ;)).
Reviewer: Valentinia Signed
Date: 06/30/06 Title: Chapter 1: 'Yes'

Cool story. I like that James had to be dared to ask Lily to marry him (he owes Sirius forever!... or would have...) It's also good how you have the word "yes" be sorta ambiguous (the answer to the questions of both of them). Well-written, too.

really, really good. it was so realistic and i agree that snape is a really interesting character... there should be more stories like this one (though i don't really think that this brilliance is achieved easily!)

Author's Response: Aww...that's sweet of you. I do love writing Snape, though, so I think I'll just have to thank JKR for inspiring me with such a great character. Thanks for the review!

While helping Draco reach safety with the Order of the Phoenix, she finds herself in his arms. Could Hermione’s new found connection with Draco ruin everything with Ron forever?

A Hermione and Ron ship with a heavy dose of Malfoy! I've chosen to list this under Various Pairings due to the complex nature of the story. Both R/Hr and D/Hr shippers will enjoy!

Date: 10/01/06 Title: Chapter 1: -

Aww. Cute! I think Kingsley tells Maureen about his being an auror a bit too soon, though, since he can never know who's a spy and who's not. Otherwise, a nice story about an inter-muggle-magical romance... I hope they have a happy ending... :)

A Seed From The Ground by Seren

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • Past Featured Story

Aw. It's great how this fic really shows how right Hermione is to believe that! I love the idea of something so small being responsible for part of Hermione's determination! Plus, I really enjoyed your portrayal of Kingsley! :D Sweet tooth and all, he was very realistic and this fic was very sweet!

Voices by miss padfoot

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Remus is trying to cope after Hallowe'en 1981.
Reviewer: Valentinia Signed
Date: 08/02/06 Title: Chapter 1: One-shot

Remus is perfect! You've written him just the way I imagine he would have felt. I really love how he blames it on fate, but then can't really accept that answer. I don't think it's very like Remus to have forgotten Peter, though. I got the impression that friends were everything to him (because he had so few I guess) and he would never think more of one than of the others. Also, I don't think Sirius' betrayal would hav been in the news. After all, in PoA, Madam Rosmerta didn't know about it...
It's especially great how he feels that no one is there for him - but doesn't seem selfish at all, when he thinks it. The last marauder... or so he thinks... Anyway... you did a great job of portraying Remus' feelings in this short one-shot!

Author's Response: Thanks Valentinia, for the nice little review! Remus hasn\'t really \'forgotten\' Peter, he just is so worried about James/Sirius/Harry/Lily that he doesn\'t have time to think a lot on Peter, besides he doesn\'t really ignore Peter; he does spare him some thought. Regarding Sirius\' betrayal, it\'s possible it couldn\'t have been in the news, but also, Madam Rosmerta could have forgotten about it, it\'s been thirteen years after all. Anyway, thanks for the superb review!

Ice and Flowers by Zetera

Reviewer: Valentinia Signed
Date: 07/25/06 Title: Chapter 1: Ice and Flowers

Wow. This story, though short, was quite moving. I really like the message it sends, and also the way it is very to the point. Not much happens, of course, but that just makes what the old man (btw, is it Neville?) says all the more meaningful. The ending was really great, too!

Author's Response: Yep, it was Neville! I\'m glad you caught that, and that you got the meaning of the piece. Thanks!

Healing Ronald by Ravensgryff

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •

Awww. Though this isn't a pairing I usually ship, it was a very sweet fic. I liked to see both Ron and Luna stay IC and yet feel such a connection - Luna's healing really was rather touching. Plus, I love the way you wrote this, with bits of the letter as interludes. Brilliant!
