Hi, I'm Valentinia, your typical Harry Potter obsessed teen.
I've read the HP books so many times that I've lost count, but I'm guessing most of you on MNFF have done the same!
Otherwise, I'm pretty boring.
My favorite band is Evanescence.
My favorite HP characters are Luna "Loony" Lovegood and Petunia Dursley.
My favorite HP book is PoA.
My favorite HP chapter is "Career Advice" from OotP.
My favorite HP film is probably OotP.
My favorite HP actor is Evanna Lynch. There're a lot of great ones though!
I'm an all-out Ron/Hermione, Luna/Harry and Ginny/Neville shipper. *Sigh*. I know, I know, Canon just sort of ruined those last two. Still, Harry/Ginny was okay. I guess.
I also love stories about Parvati, Padma and Lavender, because I think they deserve some character and depth and they're often deprived of it and made into girly non-humans.
And here some cool things from other people's profiles:
Weird is good, strange is bad, and odd is when you don't know which to call someone. Weird is the same as different, which is the same as unique,so weird is good. If you are weird and proud of it, copy this onto your profile!
92 percent of American teens would die if Abercombie and Fitch told them it was uncool to breathe. Copy this in your profile if you would be the 8 percent that would be laughing your head off.
If you're one of those people who get excited when you see just two reviews, paste this into your profile.
If you've been on the computer for hours on end, reading numerous fanfictions, copy this into your profile
If you don't watch Laguna Beach or the O.C. or The Hills religiously, never have, never will, and are proud of it, copy and paste this into your profile.
You know you live in 2007 when...
1. You go to a party, sit down and take MySpace pics.
2. You haven’t played solitaire with real cards in years.
3. The reason for not staying in touch with your friends is that they don't have AIM/LiveJournal/MySpace.
4. You'd rather look all over the house for the remote instead of just pushing the button on the TV.
6. Your evening activity is sitting at the computer.
7. You read this list, and keep nodding and smiling.
8. You think about how stupid you are for reading this.
9. You were too busy to notice number five.
10. You actually scrolled back up to check if there was a number five.
11. And now you're laughing at your stupidity.
12. Put this in your pro if you fell for it. You know you did.
Ninety-five percent of teenagers are concerned about being popular. If you are one of the five percent who aren't, copy this, put it in your profile, and add your name to the list: Queen S of Randomness 016, Queen B of Randomness 016, AnimieKittyCaffe, The Gypsy Pirate Queen, That Bloody Demon, The Astrology Nerd, Shadow929, Crazy Billie Joe Loving Freak, Yavie Aelienel, Hyperactively Bored, Spymaster E, Shanny-Boo, Gem W, Brown-eyed angelofmusic, piratesswriter/fairy to be, Bara-Minomoto, Em Quagmire, Buffy The Mary-Sue Slayer, Random Little Writer, SamanthaFantasyFan, EdwardAddict, Supergirrl, Elemental-ANimal, Mother Nature's Daughter, Schmerg_The_Impaler, Carmona, Hanabi, Valentinia

And lastly, since every profile should have an HP quiz result! :)
Summary: There have always been arguments over which piece of the board is the most powerful. Most will say the Queen; she can mimic any move, take any square. Others will say the King; despite his limited mobility, the entire point is to protect your king and capture your opponents. It is the center piece of the game. There are any number of arguments for five of the pieces. The last piece, or pieces, are often neglected. They are the front line, the first defence, and the first to fall. All but one. And Ron must see it to the other side.
wow! i love how you have ron's reflections on life and chess intwined... the analagy is really great!

Author's Response: I actually have 2 (yes, two!) new chapters up on fanfiction.net, checkmated.com, and harrypotterfanfiction.com if you'd like to see. (I suggest checkmated.com 'cause I have a beta there and because it's my favorite site!) I know what you mean about the mods. Seriously, I sent it in a while ago and I haven't even gotten a note about it so I'm at a loss at what to do. Try contacting one of them to let them know that you want the story and get other people to read it. Otherwise, all I can say is try to be patient and hope that the mods are merciful and post the new chapter soon.

I agree with Ataraxia on everything, (except her views on a R/Hr relationship, it will happen!!) and have been waiting so long for an update. Please don't make your poor fans wait any longer. We're dying here!
Summary: The war is over and the Weasley's along with Harry and Hermione try to get on with their lives. Harry and Ron leave to fulfill their childhood dreams. Hermione, with the assistance of the new Minister of Magic, opens a new department in the Ministry, and Ginny finishes her last year at Hogwarts and then begins a career of her own.
That was so cool. I love fluff and happy endings, with just a little adventure/mystery/(angst) This was the perfect combination. Way to go.
p.s. I agree with zobothewitch, please write a sequel
Author's Response: Sequel is coming. At first I was just set out to write a strictly romance piece, but then I kept coming to places that would support other genres as well and I couldn't help myself. I am not the best writer by no means however this is a great way for me to pass the time waiting on the next book. And if so many like reading it then all the better. Thanks for all the support and I hope to see you again once the sequel has begun.
Summary: * COMPLETE *
He knew, now, that this agony would not cease until he had obeyed his new master. He couldn't bear it anymore. He raised his wand in the air and, through gritted teeth, whispered, "Crucio."
Through a series of meetings, find out why Snape joined the ranks of the Death Eaters, and why he eventually turned away from them.
That was a sad story, but it was so good. Is there any possibility that you will write a sequel? I'd love to see one, that story was great!
Summary: After walking in on a snog-session between Ron and Hermione, the Weasley family takes it upon themselves to inform them about the birds and the bees. One-shot.
Ok, I admit that I think most humor fics are kinda pathetic, but that was hilarious!!! Soooo funny! I'm still laughing! (I know, I'm an overreacter, but it was funny!)
Summary: "Regardless of what God, or Gods, they worship, or even if they don't," whispered Luna dreamily, "everyone prays." Ginny Weasley lies broken and bleeding by her own hand. But her friends and family love her, and they will lead her home. Not a death fic. Rated for graphic self-mutilation... but for a very good cause.
Usually I don't really go for Angsty!Ginny, as I find that it's a bit over-used and can get very cliché. Therefore I must say it takes guts to attempt to write her. This story was very original, though.
I really enjoyed how Ginny's feelings are made so clear by what she says about the sun, the wind, the moon. It also ties together nicely in the end when she reflects on them again, and sees them in an entirely different light.
I think you portrayed all the characters very well, too. It's especially good how Ginny blames herself for not being like them, naming the good qualities she wishes she had, and then, when her friends come, it's those qualities that she was hurting herself over that essentially save her.
The imagery that is used is slightly disturbing (definately not in a bad way, though), and described quite well, though I'd have liked to have seen just a bit more description (even though the fic is mostly focused on emotion, which you portrayed very well).
I really liked the "Slice" part, since it was a straightforward, believable reason for why Ginny was doing what she was doing.
It's also very good that she wasn't completely healed in the end (that would have been way too fast) but that the reader knows she is healing.
All in all, this is a great one-shot.
Summary: What if there were more to Remus Lupin's bite than a badly timed stroll in the woods? The arrival of a feral invokes secrets of the past and terror for the present...
I must confess I read most of this story in one go a few weeks ago and couldn't think of a good enough review to write. This fic is absolutely wonderful, and I'd say the best take on Remus' life I've ever read. Of course the writing was wonderful, the descriptions touching and the feelings of characters realistic. Everything from hilarious to horribly sad, this fic covered it all. The way all the pieces and hidden clues fit together was JKR worthy and I especially enjoyed the Abel/Kane transition, which you pulled off wonderfully, giving the read just the right mix of a little pity and a lot of resentment and hatred for the twisted werewolf. Your "feral" idea is brilliant by the way. And so is a lot more, it really can't be expressed in a single review, so I'm not going to try any longer. Instead, I think I'll go read the sequel! :D
:D Go you for figuring the ages like that! I've always hated when "chat" things go AGAINST canon!
Anyway... I'm really enjoying this chapter! It's fairly angsty, of course, but with some light bits - perfect combination! And I love your characterization of Remus! I can't wait to see what he's planned!
Summary: Back and forth. Back and forth. I rock myself as hard as I can, bashing my body against the sturdy oak doors of my prison. It hurts badly; every time I slam my body against the doors, splinters break off into my already bruised and scratched skin. But back and forth, back and forth, I will rock. Every time I smash into the doors, they weaken slightly. And every weak crack spiderwebbing against the doors is one step closer to freedom. Four girls are held hostage by Death Eater. But they have a plan.
Wow. I'm very impressed. You showed how each girl used the stregths they have (the stregths that got them each into the house they're in) to save themselves. I love the similarity in the "formatting" of what each girl thinks, but the difference in what they do, and then the fact that they all have the same goal. Magnificent! One thing though. I don't think Lavender is a pureblood. In PoA she doesn't know what the Grim is. But that's a tiny thing, and I could be wrong. Anyway, all in all, this story is wonderful. The enidn sums everything up so well!
Summary: Albus Dumbledore visits disgraced Auror Ulysses Grayson in Azkaban, demanding to know if he committed the atrocities he was accused of, and if so why. The answer to his question revolves around 2-year-old Harry Potter and his cruel relatives, and makes one wonder if ensuring the boy's safety might have carried too high a price....
Cool story! I really like Grayson's character! Can't wait to get started on Ginny's Journey! But anyway... I love how he's a Hufflepuff - I think that really adds to his character, especially since he acknowldges that he's not actually brave, per se, but unafraid. He seems like such a passionate person! I also love his interactions with Dumbledore - you've got Dumbledore perfectly in character. All in all... a great story!
