“There was this was one program on Rudok the Magical Martial Arts Expert. He was inspired by some of those Muggle programs and he cast himself in the fireplace. I used to watch that program for hours. It was the only way my mum could shut me up,” Sirius explained.
James was nodding in agreement, clearly having watched the same program. Lily looked at her boyfriend, bewildered by his hidden sense of oddness.

“Did you guys whack him on the head with something this morning?” Lily accused.
“I’m not sure,” James said, scratching his head. “Was that today or yesterday that we did that?”
“Yesterday,” Remus answered.
“Then, no, we didn’t. We may have tripped him but we whacked him on the head yesterday,” James said, smiling innocently.
“No wonder he’s a nutcase,” Lily said, rolling her eyes.

Here, their lives, from when the two of them were eleven to when they were brutally murdered at only 21, is recorded. Lily and James Potter were unsung heros. This is their story.

A/N: Quick note to all: I am sorry, but there are no plans for a sequel for PC. I hate to disappoint you all, but I feel that the story is better standing alone, leaving the rest to your imaginations.
I loved it! It was original but made sense,with james climbing the wall,falling several times.I don't know if you intended this but its sort of a metaphor for James' chase of Lily through the years.I also like that you did it from Remus' POV, liked the dry humor, and loved the bit at the end with Lily at the window! I really think you should do a sequel about heir date, you can't just leave the two of them hanging after all their hard work! Great story though!

Thanks to all you who have made it possible for this story to be in the Top Tens. It was a very happy moment when I first saw my story on the list, and I love being able to go back and see it there now. Still. Yay!
Throughout the latter half of 2010, and the first half of 2011, I re-edited this story. The changes were mostly to fix stray (and annoying) grammar and spelling errors, but also to rework some plot points in an effort to stay truer to canon. I also updated the style; having written this story so long ago, my writing has definitely developed (and I would say gotten better), so I edited to reflect that. (I apologize for the errors that were in the story before all this editing. I found them immensely distressing when I reread my chapters. Heartbreaking, really.)
Big “thank yous” go to the three people who helped edit/nitpick the first edition of this novel: violagirl, fairiesandcream, and Omagus.
