Summary: Year six begins in the_bartender's crazy concoction that is the life of Harry Potter. Add one part Harry, two parts prophecy, a mixture of Ron and Hermione, a dash of Ginny, a splash of Dumbledore (and garnish with a certain new knightly character to add a little mystery!)...
Pour over the ice in Lord Voldemort's heart and voila!
You've got yourself a Power of the Prophecy Cocktail, sure to mess you up, spin you around, make you question your motives and turn your wizarding world up-side down.
Hey - I really like your stories... you do a great job.
I just had one little thing - Dumbledore wouldn't have said "I plead the fifth" - way too muggle and American for a British wizard to say!! Even though he loves muggle sweets, I doubt he would use the US Constitution as a reference and harry certainly wouldn't understand what he meant if he did!!!
Sorry - other than that your stories are great! Keep up the good work!
Author's Response: Thank you! Hahah- I never thought about it. I guess I just thought that \'pleading the fifth\' was a world-known scapegoat. (No offense to Aberforth, of course!) Hahha- i\'m so glad you pointed that out- what a whopper mistake! Thanks so much- I\'ll certainly do my best!
Summary: Itís all anyone wants, isnít it? Security. And acceptance.
In a rather awkward moment on the Hogwarts Express after Dumbledoreís funeral, Ron and Hermione realize how much the other means to them...without speaking a word.
I like it, very sweet and touching...
Summary: Was it possible to save two lives in the past without altering history? Was it possible to give his parents a future twenty years after they had supposedly died? Teddy Lupin thought so...
Thank you for this story! I absolutely loved everything about it - I usually stick to Ron/Hermione canon, but this fic was awesome! The characters fit perfectly and the intricate plot was very Rowlingesque!
Summary: This fic is a series of missing moments from the time H/R&H were at Shell Cottage, beginning immediately after they Disapparated from Malfoy Manor. JKR shows us what was going on with Harry, but this is my version of what could have happened with Ron and Hermione after one of the most emotional/disturbing events in the entire series.
UPDATED June 2010 When I first wrote this fic, I didn't know what a beta reader was, and frankly, it showed. Thanks so much to Natalie for helping me polish this up and make it more readable. Thanks also to both Julia and Carole, whose helpful comments in the review section allowed me to make some much-needed corrections during the rewrite. I would love to know what you think ~ reviews are very much appreciated!
This was nominated in the 2010 Quicksilver Quill Awards for Best Canon Romance.
You did an awesome job with this story! The missing moments are the best moments. The Yule Ball line was beyond perfect - exactly how Ron would start that conversation. I loved the bits between Bill and Ron - how concerned Bill was for his brother and showing how Ron had really grown up.
One of my absolute favorite fanfics!
Thanks- keep writing!
Author's Response: That is such a nice thing to say. I'm glad you like the stuff with Bill.... to be honest, I'm not as comfortable with his character as I am with Ron, and so am always a little relieved to hear someone say it seemed all right. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it. :)
Everything was beautiful, and Hannah felt calmer than she had all day; she felt all of the unsettled thoughts beginning to find their places in her frazzled mind.
This is lovely! I loved learning more about Hannah and I want more! I've read most of your writing and this is my absolute favorite - even though I'm a diehard R/HR reader.
Thanks for sharing your take on their day.
Author's Response: Haha... that makes two of us die hard R/Hr! :) I wasn't sure I would even know how to write another couple, but it was fun trying to figure this out. Glad you enjoyed it... thanks for the review, and for reading my other stories as well.
Summary: The seven women who loved Ron Weasley.
The best kind of surprise when scrolling through the Most Recent category is a new story by MagEd! And the seven women who loved Ron! Just what I wanted. Only improvement I could see would be to include me as number eight! lol
When you started the 7 series, I wanted Ron right away and you did him justice. I loved the Ginny bit and of course, Hermione. Especially that Harry would take her to the Museum - very Ron. And the fact that Ron saved George - of course he would b/c like someone else said in the reviews - he saves everyone!
Ron is my favorite, so this was bound to be good.
Thanks and please keep up the good work! I don't care how long we all have to wait!
Author's Response: Thank you! That makes me smile to read! A lot of people were asking for Ron, and I was a little nervous that it would be a let down -- I'm so glad you liked it! Hopefully you won't have to wait too long, but it's so nice to know that you don't mind waiting! And if you're number eight, then I claim number nine ;)
Summary: Hermione has lived thirty-six years on this earth. The last twenty or so of them have been blissful and perfect, married to her best friend and lover. They have two beautiful children at Hogwarts. Ron's an Auror, and Hermione works in the new office at the Ministry, for the Mandatory Respect of Elf Rights Department. Then, one afternoon in February, she's called to St. Mungo's, where everything is ruined, and she's forced to remember the easier past.
I was very excited to see that you had updated! I love looking back at all the R/Hr moments. I hate that Ron is dead, but it really shows how important he is - he's not just a sidekick. I love that you show how much he matters to the others through his death. This is one of my favorite R/Hr stories! Keep writing!
Author's Response: FAVORITE? HeeeeeHeeeeeHeee that made me happy :D Thanks for reviewing! I get like supperr hyped hwen my faves update . . . . glad to spread the feeling! -Joy :D
Summary: Though the trials of war are behind them, life will always include difficulties that must be faced.I am thrilled beyond reason to announce that this fic won the 2011 Quicksilver Quill in the category Best Canon Romance, one-shot. Thank you so much! :)
Loved this one shot! You really do know how to capture Ron and Hermione - I agree with you, I don't think they would have told anybody, not even Harry. I think my favorite part was the very end when Hermione rolled her eyes over Ron picking the place to eat. Perfect, that's them in a nutshell!
Author's Response: Thanks. I'm glad you liked the end. I can't see Ron being so sweet about spending hours in a bookshop unless he knew there was some food coming his way later on. ;) Thanks for reading and always taking the time to review--I appreciate it.
Summary: An older Harry Potter takes his son Albus to see Professor Snape's portrait at Hogwarts seventeen years after the conclusion of the Deathly Hallows
Very cute! I was wondering the entire time though - where was James??
Author's Response: Hi Lucygirl! I kept James away on purpose because he is too much like his grandfather and we all know how Snape felt about James I!!! But thank you for reading it and commenting.
Summary: On the morning of Hermione’s 18th birthday, Ron hunts as Harry gathers. One boy is successful, while the other is not. At the end of an hour, who is to blame?
This story has been nominated for the 2012 Quick Silver Quills: Best Dark/ Angst Fic
I loved that (as a Ron fan there wasn't much of a choice...), however dark and angsty it might have been. Was it very wrong of me to kinda hate Harry... I mean what is with him - always having to be so perfect! I thought this was a great representation of how Ron was most likely feeling during this time - and I'm sure my hate for Harry was b/c of Ron's projecting! I loved the bunny - "if it had green eyes..." wow! The little things that Ron noticed about Hermione were perfect - he comes across as so simple sometimes, but I don't think that's him at all!
Very nice job, I really enjoyed it - give us some more "missing moments" please!
Poor Harry! Forced to play the antagonist in my little drama, he served well. I love the Trio, all of them, but, yeah, Ron had begun to see him as a sort of sexual rival and I had to convey that. The things Harry does in this story are just small things. In the scenario in my head, he's out collecting wood and just happens, for the sake of my plot, to run across this strikingly lovely Spindle bush. He snaps a branch from it and gives it to Hermione. No big deal. He didn't go searching for it, it took no trouble to procur it, and all he had to do was carry it back and hand it to her. But to Ron, it's a whole different thing, and ultimately, he hurts himself because he can't see Hermione past the looming 'threat' of Harry.
I agree with you. Ron is not simple, no matter how flat he sometimes becomes in the books. He's flawed and I think he's quite passionate, but he's not prone to contemplating why he feels what he does and so he often blunders.
I'm glad you liked it, and thanks for reading and for the review!
Summary: The story of Ron and Hermione through a series of missing moments. Who said love was simple?
Love your fic! Love it. I'm a die hard Ron/Hermione shipper and this is just... perfect. Your moments fit wonderfully into canon and you've nailed the characters. I've read a lot of Ron/Hermione fanfic - this is one of the best!
I must add... I loved getting to see Tonks and Lupin together as well! Keep writing! Very much looking forward to the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for reading and reviewing! I'm really happy that you're enjoying it so far! I couldn't resist NOT putting in a bit of Lupin and Tonks if I'm honest. The next chapter shouldn't be too far away :)
