I am a 30-something Harry Potter NUT. I live in Illinois with my husband, daughter and infant son. I teach daycare during the day (and I write my stories while on my breaks there!) and work retail at night. Most of the remainder of my awake time is spent floating around the queue and just trying to keep up with life.
Safe Haven is my very first fanfic so we'll see how it is received since it is *not* HBP or (obviously) DH compliant. Please remember this when reading my story as it will make it easier to grasp certain aspects of it.
Summary: Harry and Hermione are dating and he wants to pop the question that could change their life. Hermione is sure that she wants the same thing until a certain Slytherin Seeker assures her otherwise.
Guys, I'm really sorry I haven't updated this in a year or so...I just can't find the time. Just don't give up on it, and know that I really am trying to get it out there. ♥
I just found your story and you have me hooked. I'd love to add your story to my bookmarked fan fics but if they don't get updated often enough, I break down and filter them out. Please divulge me!!
Summary: Ron accidentally takes a potion to free him from his every inhibition - with 'interesting' results. Will this finally be the push that makes him reveal to Hermione his true feelings? Not so much fluffy as funny.
now THAT, my HoH, was awesome. I *loved* this story and hope one day I can write things this clever. (I turned in my very 1st chapter Weds. Wish me luck!) Have a great night!
Summary: Just three words… by themselves they were perfectly harmless. But put together a deadly combination. Completed
LOVED this one!!!! Is it finished or were there more chapters coming...? It makes a fabulous one-shot.
Summary: It's funny about wars. They drive people to do things we never would ordinarily--good and bad. Harry and I had only been dating for four months. He loved me--I know that and I knew it then--but if there hadn't been a war, he would have waited. I think he just wanted something to hold onto...for when it was all over.
Ron comes across Ginny's diary, four years after the war has ended.EDIT: 1000 reads!
You know it's a good story if I have a lump in my throat the size of Texas... I loved your story.
Summary: When Draco Malfoy finds himself falling for the Gryffindor know-it-all, he convinces himself that it’s merely witchcraft. But when they both finally come to terms with the truth, nothing can stop them from being together. This is a tale of forbidden love and dangerous passion weaved into the Half-Blood Prince, where circumstances beyond their control might tear Draco and Hermione apart forever… Check out the long awaited sequal Fatum Amoris...The Fate of Love about Medea Malfoy and Patrick Potter now appearing in the other pairings section.
I must admit first of all that I have had this story in my favorites for quite some time now. I sat down and re-read it last night and fell in love with it all over again! I am a huge D/Hr fan but I loved this story because you made it work and for the most part, you made it believable.
I was reading through other reviews and I do have to agree with the idea that I don't believe that (most of) the Weasley's would disown Hermione and that the actions taken by Harry and Ron was a bit harsh. Aside from that, I adored the fic. I thought it was really cool how you transitioned between when D/Hr went from hate to lust, etc. It was fast paced but *it worked*. I had also wondered once they broke up "How is the author going to mend that relationship?!?" and was pleased with the manner in which it was conducted. The reunion (attack below Hermione's window) was realistic and I think the emotions portrayed by the characters was well written.
One other thing... you can call me sappy but I like the way that you brought everything together by having the last words be, "It's Witchcraft."
Summary: My own shocking ending to the Harry Potter series (last chapter). Harry wakes up from a deep sleep and what he learns turns his world upside down...
Wow... what an awesome idea for a story here! I got hooked on Paying the Price and thought I would read some of your other work. I'm glad I did. Hopefully one day I will get the rest of MY story off the ground as well, hehe.
Author's Response: That\'s great, I\'m glad you decided to check out my other fics! :D Thank you for reviewing! Lol, and good luck with writing your own fics... once I got started I couldn\'t stop! This is insanely addicting :]
Summary: The whole wizarding world is in uproar after the death of Dumbledore. All Death Eaters have a price on their heads. During these troubled times Hermione finds Draco Malfoy practically on her doorstep- with no memory of who he is or what he's done. Why is he there? Why does he wake screaming every night? And how can she deal with a Malfoy who regards her as his best friend... or maybe more?
Ohh, come back from a long absense and then leave us with a cliffie, huh? You are so evil, hehe. I was very happy to see you had updated, though. Thanks for making my day. I *loved* what you did with the chapter and I wait with bated breath for the next installments!
Author's Response: Argh, I really didn\'t mean it to be a cliffie! Although I\'ve just been bunnied by everyone\'s reviews. The content of the next chapter has taken a new, dramatic turn; for the better, I hope.
Summary: CHAPTER 15 IS UP!!!! PLEASE READ AND REVIEW, YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!
Ginny and Harry worked together throughout the war to overcome darkness, with some particularly unfortunate outcomes. As she looks back now and remembers their lives, the milestones and major moments, she finds herself lonely and missing her best friend. However, unexpected surprises await her as she moves forward in her life...hopes return as well as those she loves.
Thank you for all the reads so far, keep the reviews coming!
Wow. I don't know if I can write a coherant review but I'll try. I'm not sure if I'm just emotionally unstable or what but this chapter had be in tears! Happy tears, mind you... but I was an emotional mess, regardless. I LOVED how you brought Harry to the attention of the staff *sniffleHermione&Jamessniffle* as the silence was deafening. When the school exploded in cheers and such at the end of his speech, I was a blubbering fool. I am very much looking forward to your next installment!
Author's Response: I\'m glad that it touched you so much! That\'s the hope, that I can write in such a way that means more than just the story. :) Thanks!
Summary: After failing to complete the task given to him by Voldemort, Draco turns to the Order for help- and becomes a member. During his seventh year at Hogwarts, he must tell no one of his true loyalties. However, when he and Ginny are forced to spend two weeks of detention together, she begins to catch on. It seems he hasn't fooled her, but will Draco be able to fool the most powerful Dark wizard in the world? If so, at what price?
That made me tingle, that kissing scene did... do it again!
Author's Response: Okay, if you insist... Thanks for the review (:
Summary: Meet Tabitha, the fourteen year-old daughter of Harry and Ginny Potter. What happens when she finds herself attracted to the son of her father's worst enemy? Along with a set of new characters, and the return of some old ones, this teen will find the meaning of friendship and family.
Bewitched was a show I used to watch when I was a kid as well, hehe. I had only intended on reading a couple of chapters and going to bed but here I am at the end of the line until you add more, hehe. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly I warmed up to the characters seeing as they were all original. Bringing in the twins was nice to see as they are my favorites. Best of luck with the following chapters and I will be watching for them!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! It\'s much better than a midnight snack ;)
*dabs tears from eyes*
Aww, that was so sweet! The story is great too but your comment at the end... I got all choked up!! *huggles*
You are truely a talented writer, my dear and the fact that you are able to get me into a story with original characters says a lot. (I am usually quite finicky as to who I read about.) I loved the part at the end where Gareth woke up in time to shoo Tabitha to the tower. That made me giggle. I look forward to your updates. Take care!
Author's Response: *lol* Sorry I made you cry, Nik. But thanks for reviewing, my dearest!
Summary: A Sequel to Born the Day You Kissed Me
After losing Draco Malfoy, Hermione Granger is determined to have him back…so determined that she will go as far as inventing a spell that reverses the affects of the “Obliviate” curse. In this anticipated sequel, Hermione and Draco’s lives will collide, along with opportunities for Hermione to perform her new creation on her most valuable subject. However, when a new relationship between the two forms, will Hermione be able to summon the courage to expose their lost love? Will she reveal to him the missing portion of his life? Or will she simply accept the new Draco and without spells, attempt to revive the love that she knows is buried down deep in his soul....
This story is pre-HBP/DH CH 16 Coming Soon
Thank you for making my Friday. It was wonderful to read your new chapter and get my "fix".
THAT was incredible! I have never seen the battle described that way in the many many stories I have read. You have such an awesome gift in your storytelling. I eagerly await your next installment here.
Love your story... and thank you for not making the character of Ron a wimp/comedy relief. It was nice to see him kicking butt on the field. Also love seeing the family pull together to get Hermione in. I'm such a softie!
Author's Response: Thanks for your review, I\'m glad you approve of my characterization of dear old Roniekins!
Summary: Draco wanted to get away. He needed to get away from all the things that reminded him everyday of the mistakes he had made and the one he had lost. He found the perfect spot too, a small town in Wyoming, USA, a place called Nowhere. A perfect name as far as he was concerned. Magic, fate has a way of finding you no matter where you go though.
I'll have you know that, although I have 38 stories bookmarked, yours here is the ONLY one I check for on a daily basis. Keep up the awesome work. You've got quite the talent here.
Author's Response: Thank you so much, that means a lot to me. I love hearing that people enjoy this story so much. It makes me want to sit down and write that book I\'ve always thought about but never accomplished. Again thanks.
Summary: On the night of Bill and Fleur's wedding, Harry and Ginny have a serious talk about their relationship. Song-fic to Yellowcard's "Breathing." One-shot.
Wow... I loved this one-shot you've got here. I could perfectly picture everything you wrote due to your great descriptions. The emotions were obvious and it was refreshing to be on the same page as the characters instead of not knowing how they feel at that time. I look forward to sampling your other stories!
- NikkiSue (Nicole)
Author's Response: I left you one review, and here you go reviewing most of mine. :) Thanks for all the lovely reviews... I suppose I owe you a couple.
Summary: One-shot challenge- owls, written by the patient Hufflepuff, mugglegurl. We all know that Hedwig was attacked by Umbridge in OotP. Here's her tale of what happened. Somewhat funny, if I do say so myself.
Oh my gosh, that was the funniest thing I have read in a long time!! I burst out laughing at the banter between Hedwig and Buckbeak. Its difficult to find good humor fics on here since humor is not as easy to write as people pretend it to be. You have gone above and beyond. I must know your secrets!
Author's Response: Well, that\'s quite the compliment =] And here I thought it was kind of silly. Anyways, thanks for the review.
Summary: Harry Potter's life is now Voldemort-free, but he is far from carefree. His wife, Ginny, has come down with a disease from which she may not recover. However, the time that Harry could be using searching for the cure is snatched away by the newly - rising Dark Lord, Draco Malfoy. Harry cannot find the cure until beating Malfoy, which should be easy....right?
24 May 2009: Back, but on hiatus until summer.
Yay! I love what you have done with the dialogue. The banter between Harry and Dung is classic! It was nice, after beta-ing the chapter to read it and see so many wonderful changes that I never would have thought of. Nicely done and kudos to all the fabulous help you had with this. I look forward to seeing more.
Author's Response: Thank you! I really love the haggling going on between them. Also, I\'m so glad that you were able to help with this!! *hugs* -Hailey
Summary: Andromeda takes a young Tonks to the beach. She quickly finds herself exhausted and falls asleep. Tonks decides to explore on her own. She meets someone her mother never expected her to meet.
That was a very sweet story, though I am not sure if that is what you want to hear from a reviewer! You have a gift for bringing out the many different sides of a complex character who most people know very little about. And I think you're theory about how she is not *all* bad rings true, especially before her time in Azkaban.
Author's Response: *Smiles* I agree that this story had a certain sweetness to it. It was one of my first and still remains one of my favorites. It was the story that made me fall in love with Bella. :D
Thanks so much for all your compliments and I\'m glad that you agree Bella couldn\'t be all bad. Thanks again, for the review, Nicole.
Summary: Have you ever wondered what would have looked like Harry's escape from the Dursleys in Prisoner of Azkaban from Sirius Black's point of view? Watch the scene while our favorite Animagus tries to get a glimpse of his godson before heading for his long journey.
This was written for the In-House July Challenge in my house, Slytherin. Enjoy!
Now THAT was a point of view that I have never seen. It was a nice change and very nicely written.
Author's Response: That\'s exactly what I wanted to do with this story, to explore a new point of view. I\'m happy you enjoyed it! Thanks for your review.
