Summary: James Potter's once privileged and sheltered life alters dramatically as Lord Voldemort increases his stronghold on Great Britain. While a rational but brilliant Transfiguration teacher, a grieving socialite mother, a star-gazing, forest-dwelling centaur, and a host of other characters contemplate the vicious and constant conflict between Good and Evil, James embarks on a dangerous life fuelled by passion, love, anger and blood...
Things can only get redder.
Chapter 20 is up, and it's been nominated for the Quicksilver Quills!
I like the atmosphere you've created. Good job!
Author's Response: Thank you - wow, nintieth reviewer! The atmosphere is really important to me, because the story does take place during an intense and terrifying war, but at the same time, many of the main characters are teenagers... and sometimes it can be difficult to address both issues at once (it\'s easy to get too caught up in one area ), so I\'m glad you like it! I hope you like the next chapters also, which will be long, to make up for the wait!
Summary: James Potter and Lily Evans weren't exactly buddies at first sight. They began virtually as enemies. Gradually, however, they came to respect each other and like each other at Hogwarts. Somehow, that like turned to an eternal love.
Described through the memories of all who knew them, this is the story that follows them through the seven years in Hogwarts, as their rocky relationship develops into a bond that becomes the envy everyone. This is the story that describes the difficulties that they encounter during the terrible years of You-Know-Who's reign. This is the story of the parents of The Boy who Lived. This is the story of the love between Lily Evans and James Potter.
Chapter Five (Friends?) posted - Lily walks into the world she never knew.
Sorry for the (very long) delay.
We want more chapters! This is amazing!
Summary: Meet James Potter, a clever, somewhat mischievous, popular student at Hogwarts. He takes every situation in stride and has everything under control, except one: Lily Evans, an amazingly beautiful and intelligent individual. He loves her more than anything, but she despises him more than anything, and a not-so-impressive run-in late at night with her leaves James thinking that chasing after Lily might be hopeless. Then, a series of events happen in James' life, which is topped off by an unexpected visitor that makes his sixth year too sweet to remember.
So when are we getting to read the first chapter of the 7th year?
Summary: It's nearly the end of his fifth year, and Severus has just experienced the most embarrassing and lamentable moment in his life. At a time where the wizarding world is becoming unhinged, he must deal with a few unexpected events that will change his life forever.
You're one of my favorite authors, so do take this as constructive criticism. Does Potter know that titmouse is a kind of songbird? :D
this is going really well. when are you updating?
Author's Response: Right now I\'m in the middle of a deadline for an original fic contest, which will wrap up at the end of June. APoE will be updated shortly after that...early July. I promise!
Summary: Formerly titled 'From Wading to Redemption.'
Ron leaves. Ron returns. Ron saves me from Malfoy Manor. Ron and I descend together into the Chamber of Secrets. And, finally, Ron Weasley comes to understand S.P.E.W.
You've heard Harry's side of those stories -- but don't you want to hear my side?
Hermione's Point of View. Based on events in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
EDIT: This story, which was written almost a year ago, is undergoing a sort of Spring Cleaning. In other words, I am revising and resubmitting the chapters to take care of the things that now make me cringe. Rereads and new Reviews are welcome!
This was really good. Sounded very real, could have happened exactly this way. Why don't you write from Ron's POV as well?
Author's Response: Thank you! I considered writing another one from Ron's POV, yeah. I may, or may not happen. I'm better at Hermione.
