I am a (gasp!) 24 year old female Potterphile currently living in Illinois. As a graduate student pursuing a PhD in chemistry (yes it really is as boring as it sounds... well not really but if I were to elaborate you would REALLY classify me as a geek!!), I desperately require diversions from the real world!! No seriously, fanfic and my crazy Potter obsession have kept me from totally losing it over the past few months... so thanks in advance to all those excellent writers... you have kept one more person from losing her marbles!!

Senses by Gryffinpuff

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Sense: a word of so many meanings. This is a story about senses. The common sense notion of self preservation that is lost when friends are in need, the senses of the body that can be damaged so easily, and the intuitive senses of the heart that tell you when things have changed. R/Hr focused with a little bit of H/G, not a lot of fluff, with rotating views between the characters on a truly horrific day.

nice... well not so much for Hermione... anyway I love this story, it has a good mixture of emotion and action!! Thanks and update soon (well, not too soon if it compromises the story and life :) )

Author's Response: Yea, poor Ron and Hermione. I really am so mean to them. At least they have each other! Updating as soon as possible, thanks for reviewing!

Beyond the Prophecy by the_bartender713

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Oh, I'll tell you a tale of a sainted wizard, of his friends and their adventures in store. And I'll tell you a tale of an evil wizard, of the decimated world torn apart by his war.

But be warned, I say, think not far ahead. For where you might see gain, loss may be instead.

Heavily run the theories and conclusions dreamt out of whims, but know that what you hope lies most likely not within.

She's written the words, and told the lot of trials, tribulations, and soul-eating rot.

But I won't tell you how, and I won't tell you when. Just know your illustrious Bartender has done it yet again

What lies Beyond the Prophecy and Harry Potter's life- who knows? Only the exalted one, Merlin, and the one who writes.

You have put together quite a story!! I read the whole series over the last few hours (thank God for lazy Saturday afternoons!!). I am anxious for the next chapter(s). As far as Percy turning out to be a Death Eater, I don't know if it will actually follow canon but I think it is brillant and well foreshadowed (had to know he was up to something... the letter he sends Harry after the engagement was so... Percy!).

Anyway, I hope that your next chapters are posted soon!!

Author's Response: Thank you! I\'m glad you liked it-- and I hope they are too!

Torn by Jenn19

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: What if the one person you needed to avoid, was the only person you couldn’t stay away from? Would you risk it? And if so, at what cost? This is a one-shot songfic that takes place between Harry and Ginny at the Burrow after Bill and Fleur’s wedding. It is set to the lyrics of the song Collide.

How romantic!! This is one of the best tellings of their encounter that I have read in a while. He still seems like he is going to push her away at the end which is a very Harry thing to do (irritating, yes, but Harry).

Author's Response: Thank you for taking the time to read and review. I too feel that any surrender on Harry\'s part is going to be overshadowed by his fear or need to protect her - in spite of what he may truly feel. I appreciate the feedback.

Of Cauldrons and Comrades by LuthAn

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: "Albus Dumbledore aimed his wand at the Pensieve’s liquid depths and twitched his arm upwards. Ten ghostly figures slowly emerged from the liquid, their bodies spun out of the translucent matter. The Gryffindor Class of 1978..."

We all know how this tale ends, but how does it begin? Did Lily hate James from Day One? Did James fall head over heels the moment he first laid eyes on Lily? How did Remus feel about the whole thing? Who let Peter slip through the cracks? And what exactly happens when Sirius gets hold of some Time-Release Dungbombs?

The Marauders' years at Hogwarts were marked by internal demons, external tensions, and whispers from the shadows growing steadily louder. By intertwining lives in the midst of danger. By powerful love and a whole lot of laughter. This is their story, a tale of cauldrons and comrades.

This is a great premise for a story!! My only issue is that James was a chaser not a seeker (they have that in the movie but in the book he is a chaser!). But maybe he had abilities as both and was chosen as a chaser! Anyway, I look forward to future chapters!

Author's Response: Thanks very much, Christina! I\'m glad you like it. About the Seeker/Chaser thing, good eye for pointing that out, but keep reading. Maybe James doesn\'t get exactly what he wants... ;)

The Auror's Duty by Aelan Greenleaf

(pre-Deathly Hallows)

*Quote from The Epilogue*

Suddenly Harry was kissing her as if he couldn’t resist the temptation. There was a kind of frenzy to the kiss at first, a kind of desperate need, but it melted into something soft and sweet and gentle, a promise of a future when kisses would never be limited. When they broke apart he rested his forehead on hers, sprinkling a few affectionate butterfly kisses across her face. “I love you,” he murmured.

Well... gesh... I am totally impressed by the contruction of your story and a little teary! Well, I was teary during the previous chapter and this one makes me want to bawl like a baby! I also neglected to read the A/N the first time read through and thought this was the last chapter!! I was going to protest in my review, however, I now see there is a bit more to come! Thanks for a great story... keep writing... please:)

Author's Response: Thank you for the great review! I am flattered that you are impressed, and glad because as I\'ve said many times - time travel is desperetely tricky!! This chapter makes me sad as well. I thought about ending with it, but decided there was one last thing I needed to do for Harry. I have finished the final chapter and hope to submit it this weekend. Thank you so much for reading this story, I am very glad you enjoyed it. And thank you for leaving such a wonderful review, I really appreciate it! ~Gina :)

In A Nutshell by hearyoume

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Dumbledore is going senile, Ron's eating is out of control, and poor Hagrid... will he ever realize his true strength before he kills someone?? This starts off at the beginning of the school year and ends with a detailed account of how Harry finally defeats Lord Voldemort. I poke fun at stereotypes and clichés in fan fiction, and even joke about some things in the actual books. It’s pretty much everything – in a nutshell (or is it nuthouse?).

A flock of flamingos... you have to write JK Rowling, it is the perfect way around an oh so tragic Harry dies ending!! LOL...

Author's Response: Lol, that\'s a good idea... maybe I will! :] Thanks for the review!

The Epic Tale of the Hogwarts Food-fight by Gin_Drinka

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: "Some mistakes are too much fun to make just once."

After Lily Evans, Head Girl of Hogwarts, starts a food-fight with James Potter, Head Boy of Hogwarts, they are both given detention for the rest of the year, and are assigned a 'detention journal', which the staff say will help to settle their 'overwhelming and disturbing differences'. We have come across Lily's journal; her take on why the whole affair ever started, her intriguing relationship with one ‘supreme git of the galaxy’, the extents to which she will go for revenge and where it will lead her...

"And if for some unknown reason you come across this, Potter, and the paragraph above does not manage to penetrate your unusually thick head and convince you of my stupendous dislike of you, I hope the following sentence helps: I HATE YOU!"

Man Lily seems a little violent!! Hehehe... I like that she has a dangerous side. The books do mention the Maurders fear of her wand so I think it fits well!! And McGonagall's little smile is hilarious. Who knew that the professors and headmasters could or would play matchmaker! lol... Update soon!!

Author's Response: lol thanks. that is my favorite part of writing tihis, Im glad you like it too,.
