Hey all!
I'm a recent college graduate with a great job and an even better hobby - writing Dramione fanfiction! I pretty much write that pairing exclusively, not counting side pairings, of course. I find the chemistry and tension between both Draco and Hermione absolutely intoxicating and there's a lot to work with as far as plot and character go. I love love love the canon pairings (JKR can do no wrong!) but she already wrote them so well that I feel like anything I try to do will fall short. :)

Likes: Kittens, puppies, Johnny Depp, movies, music (rock, alternative, pop, and electronic), musicals, Glee, writing, reading, laughing, baking, and being surrounded by awesome.
Dislikes: Clowns, centipedes, ants, guns, boring-ness-ism.

"The Reminder" was my first HP fanfic attempt. I'm quite fond of it.
"An Aversion to Change" was my second. I love this one, too, and it's pretty darn successful.
"The Resilient" is the sequel to "Aversion." It is completely written and, recently, fully posted. The banner is by the super-awesome CoolCatElly!
(link here: http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb215/CoolCatElly/Theresilient2-1.jpg)

I have a few other ideas that I'm working on, but nothing that will be posted (or even finished...) before "The Resilient" is done.
I am also kicking around the idea of an original fiction, but it will be eons before that even gets close to being interesting to anyone but me. :)

I love reviews (like every author), so you should probably leave one! :)

Enjoy, and thanks for reading!!

Whoa!! That chapter was awesome!!
So just to get this all straight: Daphne is definitely the Third Kind and the Third Kind is also what shot Ron, Parletoo, and Co., and it's the wolves and it's somehow all connected to the Forest and what happened after the Final Battle.

Okay, and that was an amazing touch, what you did with their contact. Harry can feel again! Could there be better news?! But what puzzles me is the fear he felt along with it at first. Was that just because he was afraid of the unknown, or is it a deeper, more important fear? I mean, obviously the Third Kind hold a very important power and almost kind of control over Harry, but I'm still a little bit on the edge about it.

Oh, and I had a question: is Daphne a full-fledged Third Kind? She has some of the same symptoms as Harry, but she's been hearing the whispers since she was a child. I mean, I guess she could have become one way back then, but...ah, I'm rambling.

Anyways, great story, as always! It only gets more and more intriguing!!

Crap crap crap, Harry's a werewolf. Crap. As if his life isn't difficult enough...
Great scene with the werewolves, by the way. Your descriptions were so vivid! And that curse you made up...slightly frightening. What's the translation of it?

I liked the Pettigrew monologue. I totally understand Harry's pity towards him, and even in the books, Wormtail's life is sadly pathetic. But you made him redeem himself, which I think he needed.

"Do werewolves like tomato sauce?" That definitely made me smile.

Good job!

Author's Response: *shiftes guiltily* yeeees, I\'m not very nice with Harry, am I? I do feel bad. I\'m happy you liked the scene with the werewolves, I typed the whole chapter between 1 a.m and 7 a.m one night, I couldn\'t stop writing. Ah well. It was worth it.

About the curses I made up: the first one means \"The lightening strikes\", or close, and the last one (the creepy thing with the black smoke) means: \"Fear the black night\". Mmmh. Doesn\'t sound very impressive once it\'s translated, does it?

I\'m so glad you mentioned the Pettigrew monologue in your review! I have a weird tendency to write Pettigrew as a human being, not as a filthy cowardly rat. I hope too he will redeem himself--otherwise I can\'t understand why he was put in Gryffindor in the first place.

\"Do werewolves like tomato sauce?\" Typical example of what that smoky brain of mine produces at 4 a.m.

Thank you for reviewing!

Wow. That was a lot of story, and that wasn't even all of it! I definitely liked it. My one suggestion would be to make the chapters shorter (easier on the eyes, you know?). But that doesn't even matter that much.
I'm quite intrigued as to where the plot of this will be heading and I also keep wondering if Harry is going to meet up with Romilda for some reason. Meh, I don't know, but I feel like you talked about Romilda and Olibrius for a reason, like maybe they will come up later.
Anywho, great job!

Author's Response: Ae! Shorter chapters? I\'ll try, ok... though the third chapter is threatening to be even longer than the second (sorry!). I\'ll try to make them shorter from ch4 then, all right?

About Romilda... maybe Harry will meet up with her. I don\'t really know. I had introduced her and Olibrius mainly to show Harry didn\'t have only foes in the wizarding community, even if his friends were a minority. But why not make them come up later? That wouldn\'t be a bad idea...

Thanks for the review!

Ah, I'll forgive you for the long chapter because this was a pretty good one.
I liked how Harry is finally getting some social interaction. It was nice to see him act more human when he was with Hermione and Ron.
Bummer about Ginny, though. Just for my peace of mind, are they over for good, as in forever? The dialogue you included made it seem so, but...
I mean, I wouldn't be averse to them reconnecting or anything, but it seems as if they are two totally different people now, and that bridge would take a lot of time and patience to build on both their parts. Meh, I don't know. I'm basically just curious about if another more intimate human relationship is in store for Harry or not.

By the way, your characterization is awesome. I've really gotten a feel for the "new" Harry, and all of the characters, really. It's fun to postulate what they'll do next!
And sorry for the lengthy review. :)

Author's Response: Thank you for such a long review (the longest the better)! I was glad to finally introduce Ron and Hermione in my story, I hope they were believable.

Your reaction about Ginny pleased me SO much. I was a bit afraid Harry/Ginny shippers would start yelling at me or asking me if they would be going back together... You understood me perfectly, they\'re now on two different planets. They can\'t really reconnect, and Ginny is too proud and too adamant to try to mend the pieces of her relationship with Harry. But that doesn\'t mean there is no such relationship in store for Harry... Ah, I won\'t say anything else now.

Thanks a lot for what you say about my characterization. It\'s what I\'m working the hardest on (i don\'t know if that sentence was correct!) so your saying that pleases me immensely.

And rejoice I shall! Another update and, what's more, two!! I'm intensely excited. Now for my thoughts.
Well, I must admit, I'm quite happy that Malfoy is dead - the little twat deserved it, after all. But it is a definite shame about Lance. Harry needs a confidante and if Lance can't be there for him...I don't know...It's just bad for him to be alone, I feel.

And what is this Daphne Greengrass business!? Intense moment of connection, noticed by both...man, I have no clue where you're going with it, but I do know that it's going to be good!

I'm excited for Harry's transformation. I think it's normal for him to be afraid of the forest after all he's experienced in it. Honestly, I'd be more surprised if he was okay with it. And perhaps he shall meet that most intriguing figure crouched outside his apartment...I'm really curious as to who she is!

Anyways, great job, as always. Hope school is going well for you. Best wishes!!

Author's Response: Thank you for yet another good review! I\'ll do my best to make the Daphne business as good as you expect it to be. As for Harry\'s transformation, you\'ll be able to see all about it as soon as the second part of the chapter is validated.

Thanks again for the review.

Oh man! This was an exciting chapter! I knew the meeting between Harry and Hermione wasn't going to be pleasant...man, was I right. Hermione's crock about doing it *for* Harry is, well, a load of crock. I'm with Harry on this one: if she wants to help him, she can work with him.
And man, the setting was so cool. That Department of Mysteries is quite a trippy place. I loved the line "a place where every law of physics and magic no longer made sense." It paints such an interesting picture to see Harry's biggest challenge in this situation is the setting instead of his actual opponent.
And what a predicament they're in now - Hermione trapped against a gear and Harry with a choice...can't wait to see where it goes!
Good job, as always.

Alright, so Ron's not dead, but a catatonic state really isn't that much better. And now Luna and Parletoo are 'gone' as well. Hermione is torn (understandably) and Remus is with Tonks. Harry seems to be completely alone, save for McGonagall.
When she offered him the Quidditch pitch to fly on, it nearly brought me to tears, no lie. It seemed like the first real kind gesture that Harry had recieved in a while. Everyone else was nice to Harry because they thought they would get an explanation out of him, or that they could further understand him. But McGonagall is not looking for understanding; she is looking for the boy she once taught, which is an amazingly selfless wish. You captured her perfectly-good job.

Harry is so bitter now. He resolved not to die in order to make those who hate him even more unhappy. That's a tad sadistic, but still understandable. He wants revenge, but doesn't want to take the time to actually do something physical, so instead he tortures them with the singular fact that he is, indeed, still living.
And I don't blame him for being annoyed with Ginny. I get your reasons for it. She can't pretend to know what Harry went through, especially if he himself is unsure! To be arrogant enough to say that she does...unflattering, to say the least.

I really want to see how everything ties in. Who was the green woman with the arrows? What do Harry's odd transformations mean? Will those in a coma ever come back? Will Harry continue to be alone? What will he find out in the library? Will he ever be himself again?
In short, what's going to happen?!?

Fabulous story. Keep it up!

Ah, it nearly kills me inside to think that you're not going to update until June. But, as I'm in college myself (and most likely going into medecine as well), I understand the time committments and the stress of studying.
I just wanted to wish you good luck with your studies and assure you that I will still be here when you return.
Until June!

Author's Response: Well, I am not far from being dead inside myself at the thought I won\'t be able to continue my stories at all during the few next months... Thank you a lot for your words of encouragement, and I\'m happy to know you\'ll be waiting for me :).

Hoping to hear from you before June... You never know, I could manage to get a new chapter done during the year...

Author's Response: Thanks for this wonderful analysis of McGonagall! *huge grin* What you wrote about Harry and Ginny was very well-thought, too. It\'s a pleasure to get such reviews.

Your questions will have an answer later. The woman with the arrows... count a few chapters. No, more than that. You\'ll find out, but near the end of the story. Harry\'s odd transformations... same thing. Sorry! *blushes*. Will Harry continue to be alone? The answer is no, of course :). You\'ll find out in two, three chapters.

Will he ever be himself again?

I\'ll answer that with another question... When was Harry himself? Now, or at Hogwarts? *looks mysterious*...

Thank you for the long review!

First, let me say, YES YES YES YES YES!!! I was just thinking about this story and how sad I was that you probably wouldn't be updating until June. But now, in January?? Ah, it is a very, very welcome gift, and I thank you.

Second, you write amazingly well. The scenes are described in such magnificent detail, but not overly so. You achieve just the right about of description without boring your reader. And your dialogue is catching and appropriate. Very well written.

And now, the plot. I don't think I could be more intrigued about this Third Kind. What are they? Why are they? And why do they hate wizards?
It's a bummer that Dippett wasn't able to tell Harry more. Although I must wonder, who did he make the Unbreakable Vow with? There must be an originator of these secrets, but who??
I also think that Harry is part Third Kind. He was Muggle until he was 11 and he was a wizard until the Forest, which made him something different, something unique. And this would explain why the Forest doesn't hate Harry - because he's one of them.
And now he and Lance are going to search Malfoy's house. I must admit, I'm pretty excited to see how (or if) you write Draco into the story. I almost expect you to tie him in with the plot since almost everything in this story has some sort of meaning behind it. But then again, there's so much plot already that it would be tough. Ah, whatever you do, I'm sure it will be amazing.

Anyways, 100/10, great story, love it to pieces, my favorite of all time. Thanks for updating and I can't wait to read part two!!

Author's Response: Thanks you for the great review. :)

The Third Kind is a very old invention of mine that I\'ve only just expressed in a fiction, so I\'m very happy it intrigues you. The reason of their hating wizards is explicit in the chapter, but I\'ll let you find it on your own.

Dippet\'s Unbreakable Vow has a lot to do with the Ministry of his time, as you have probably guessed already, since the Minister burnt \'History of the WizardKind\'.

Harry being part of the Third Kind: not quite. Not wrong, but not true either. And Harry... wasn\'t a Muggle until he was eleven :). But he is, indeed, something different and unique.

I certainly do write Malfoy in this story, as you will find out soon (hopefully) since I posted the second part of the chapter. I am quite satisfied with the way I wrote him, to be honest--though many may disagree with me on this one.

\"Whatever you do, I\'m sure it will be amazing\": Oh God, the pressure! ;) I hope I won\'t disappoint you!

Ah, Nathan cares about impressing his father. His drive to prove himself is cute - whether it's concious or not, he cares what his father thinks. And Snape will realize that he cares what Nathan thinks, too. In time, anyways.
Good job! :)

Ha, I love the fact that Snape is going to be picking on his own son in class. And Nathan's probably going to totally show Snape up, too, isn't he? I mean, with the combined minds of Hermione and Snape, the kid is going to be smart. And already Nathan is showing a delightful streak of determination. And he's not afraid of Snape at all! Ah, love it.

I'm not going to lie, I kinda hope that Nathan is friends with young Malfoy. I really don't know my reasoning behind this except that it would make for some amusing situations. Then again, I understand the need for an antagonist in the story, so do what you will.

Author's Response: Well, he had to choose, and it had to be a Gryffindor. *lol* Let\'s see how Nathan reacts next chapter. ;0) Now, Malfoy... I\'ll just say that this has 18 chapters already, and Malfoy is not yet what I plan he\'ll be, so keep an eye on him. ;0) Thanks for reading and reviewing, Misdemeanor! :0)

I was really happy about how Nathan handled Snape's attemots at intimidation. He has Hermione's brains and perhaps Snape's attitude. What a mix!

Soooooo awkward! I'm curious as to how their relationship will develop: will it be time taking it's course? or will something bigger happen to unite the two? Either way, it's an interesting look into the psyche's of all three players.
Good job!

So, the list of people who know is growing larger and the curiosity is growing.
Hermione really should tell him soon, but there doesn't seem like there will ever be an appropriate time to do so! If she tells Nathan, Snape should be there too, or at least have a say in if she tells him or not. And then, if Nathan knew that Snape was his father, that could make class a bit awkward.
It'll be interesting to see when you time Hermione's revelation to Nathan and how he takes it and such. I can't wait!

Author's Response: Yes, the secret is spreading...
Hermione had her reasons to keep from telling him, and I think she\'ll many more if that fail to suffice. I think her motive not to tell Nathan now is exactly the same it was before: Snape.
The revelation will take a while yet.

I liked this happy chapter!

I can see Nathan's logic in asking Dumbledore what Snape was like, but I don't know how much the portrait will say. I mean, I assume Dumbledore's genius was not diminished much by his death. He's going to know that it would be wiser not to talk about Snape. We'll see, I guess.

I'm so sad for Hermione. Nathan is acting just like his father would! Gr, so frustrating! I just want everything to come out into the open right now, but I know it wouldn't be right.

Good job!

I feel sorry for Hermione, too. Poor woman!
