A Thousand Words by annie
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 1740]
Summary: For the rest of the Ministry, the interdepartmental challenge was merely a failed attempt to restore trust between workers. But for Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger, it was the catalyst for an unexpected relationship built on passionate letters, concealed identities, and secret meetings – and the beginning of an end that neither of them could ever have imagined possible, not even in their wildest dreams.
Post-war. Based somewhat on the story of the Phantom of the Opera. Also contains R/Hr, so don't read if you can't stomach that ship.
Status: Complete. Thanks for reading, everyone!
WOW What a beautifully written chapter.
My heart breaks for all three. None of them will really be happy.
I can't wait to read part two!
Not uninteresting - just sets up a nice cliffhanger!!
ARG - this is heartbreaking!
(which also means it's wonderful)
Such a frustrating place to stop.
Draco seemed so frustrated by the Wolfsbane - he must have come to a breakthrough.
Look forward to more.
As much as we all like when the world allows stories to finish like a nice pretty package with a beautiful bow, sometimes the most fitting ending is the one that is messy and tragic.
I very much enjoyed this story and the way you created the interplay between the characters.
I'm not sure I could improve on it. I would have loved for Starlight to be with Shadow. But, part way through this chapter I started thinking how wrong it felt for Hermione to be with Draco. I couldn't quite see Draco changing so drastically.
Then, you met every expectation by having Draco try to hold too tightly to Hermione.
I thought it was right. I'm not sure I think she should end up married to Ron - probably an OMC - but Ron and Harry will always be a part of her life and I can't imagine her ever chosing someone who gives an either/or challenge.
Not everything is life is happy endings. Sometimes there is heartbreak. It takes a bit of courage to write this way.
Harry Potter and the Dynasty of the Wand by Lady Snuffles
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 385]
Summary: The fact that opposites attract might be one reason for Ron and Hermione’s new endearment towards each other. By the time the Hogwarts Express pulls into Hogsmeade Station for another year at Hogwarts, every witch and wizard on the train knew something had changed drastically between the two friends. Harry and Ginny on the other hand decide to keep their relationship a secret because of a “dream” Harry has about ‘You Know Who.’ If their secret love is discovered by the wrong people it could possibly cost Harry and Ginny their lives.
I discovered this story when I went in search of something that wasn't Hermione/Snape (not that I don't enjoy this pairing)
I am enjoying your story. Your teaser quotes are fun too.
I've added your story to my favorites so I can keep up with your additions.
Author's Response: Oh that\'s so exciting that I\'m held over Hr/S! Woot! Now that\'s what I call an accomplishment!

LOL I quickly notice the name change. I also had to look twice to see if it was the greyback's name.
Look forward to the next chapter.
Refresh my memory, can Draco marry someone he's not betrothed to?
Author's Response: Hi, Timestep! Yes, Fefnir was too close to Fenir, so I changed it to the more common spelling of the Norse dragon -- Fafnir. Thanks for reading! - SIW
I absolutely loved the interaction between Pansy and Winifred

OK, I re-read this story. Someone I missed that IT and Mystery Wizard/Draco were two different people. *facepalm*
I did wonder why Draco would hex Pansy with antlers! LOL. Can't wait for more.
Author's Response: *giggles* That\'s okay, Timestiep. *passes cup of tea* -SIW
Author's Response: (That\'s Timestep.)
You both write wonderfully together. It is seamless, intimate, intricate, it is a dance!
Thank you for sharing tihs with us.

WOW - that was raw pain. Can't wait to read more.
Author's Response: Thanks!
OH, he is cruel!! Please, send more!!
Author's Response: Well, Zach realises he can get Malfoy out of the way. She\'s already crying, right? *ahakes head at Zach\'s timing*

I love your Pansy. Eddie is a fun addition - but I'm interested in why she is still leaving out the fact that she had dinner(?) with "It" a few weeks prior.
I've been wondering why you hadn't posted a chapter in a while only to discover 3 today (and 2 notices buried in my email). This is one of the stories I"m tracking closely!
Author's Response: Hi, Timestep! Thanks for reading! Pansy never had dinner with \'It\', so I\'m not sure what you are referring to. Can you show me? I\'ll be posting another Pansy chapter this weekend, and then there will be several intense chapters. - SIW
I'm really enjoy this story. I've never thought much about Pansy (until I started reading your LJ).
Once Pansy made the comment that she needed to kiss him to learn who he was I thought - well of course!!
This game of cat and mouse is great.
Hey, can they unbetroth for cause?
Author's Response: Hi, Timestep. Thanks for letting me know you\'re reading and enjoying the story. Yes, Pansy would be able to tell from his kiss, but do you think she can get the mystery wizard to kiss her?
Pansy is not betrothed to Zach. Their parents are considering the match, but, of course, Pansy and Zach have a say. It must be mutually agreed upon. There is powerful magic that is involved in the Betrothal Ritual, so ithere would need to be a \'deal breaker\' to remove the spell.
I hope you\'ll continue to read. The next chapters are some of my favorites. - SIW

Summary: Charlie returns to the Burrow and begins healing his own heart, as well as that of someone else. It's always darkest before the dawn.
Begun pre-Deathly Hallows.
Curious to see where you are heading - I've enjoyed this so far. I love George being shoved in the pond and Hermione almost knocked by Charlie.
Strip Poker (A G-Rated Tale of the Marauders) by Rhys
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 35]
Summary: One night in the Marauders' fifth year...
A bit of fluff and laughs.
This is fun. I can't wait to read more. You did a lovely job of incorporating Peter as the friend he was in this error.
Author's Response: Thank you very, very much. I do work very hard on Peter, especially in a fic like this, where he needs to be a full, working character, so it\'s rather nice to get noticed for that. This fic is intended as a one-shot, but I hope that you\'ll continue reading my other stories. I\'m very glad you enjoyed it.
