A Death in the Family by GDPeg43
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 3]
Summary: Lily Potter has been confined to her Godric's Hollow home for months now with little contact to the outside world, so it comes as a great surprise to her when she learns of her Muggle mother's death. Lily's strong urge to go to the funeral and say good-bye to her mother would mean putting herself and family in danger in multiple ways - and possibly seeing her estranged sister Petunia.
I really like this one. It gives a very good explanation of the rift between Petunia and Lily. Great job!
Author's Response: Thank you! =[]
Smoke and Mirrors by Gmariam
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 9]
Summary: As they finish their last two years at Hogwarts, the Marauders each gaze into the Mirror of Erised. And they each see something vastly different that will affect the rest of their lives.
This is Gmariam of Ravenclaw writing for the Inspiration for Illustration Challenge in the Great Hall.
This is absolutely gorgeous. It truly made me weep, knowing what was to happen in the future (Sirius's desire to be reunited with Regulus and knowing that Regulus would change sides too late was gut-wrenching.) I think you captured all four ot them perfectly.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm not sure there is any evidence for Sirius holding out a bit of hope for Regulus, or even feeling bad about what happened, but I have always liked to think it was the case and have used it in a few stories. Thank you so much for reading this one, I'm so glad you enjoyed it, even though sometimes writing young Marauders--knowing what's going to happen--is rather sad. Thanks again! ~Gina :)
The Grey Between by Equinox Chick
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 5]
Summary: The note arrived on his desk without fanfare, so when he opened it, Harry had no idea its contents would change his life.
If he had known, would he still have read?
For the note was from Malfoy. Harry had something of his, and he wanted it back.
Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling. I am not even a pale imitation.
This story is for the marvellously wonderful and kickass Jess (ToBeOrNotToBeAGryffindor) who despite her long username deserves muchos amour today on her birthday. ~ Enjoy!
Rating temporarily lowered because of a prissy glitch. This story is 6th-7th.
I love the raw, real emotions in this one. This is gorgeously messy and messily gorgeous.
Author's Response: Thank you. Yes, this would be very messy afterwards - ha. I wonder what will happen 'tomorrow.' ~Carole~

The Maimed Reflection by Ginny Weasley Potter
Rated: Professors [Reviews - 6]
Summary:
Thank you for bringing up this difficult and disturbing topic, and for portraying it with compassion and dignity. Someone I love was raped as a young man and went through many of the same reactions as Al did in the story. (Including isolation from friends and family and a suicide attempt.) Men are taught to be strong and independent, that they should be able to fight for themselves and loved ones; grief and shame as the victim of such a crime can be overwhelming. Like Al, the man that I knew never reported the crime, never got any assistance or counseling.
Author's Response: Thank you for sharing this, DaisyMaeEvans. I don't like society and I find it disturbing that men and women do not have the same emotional status in society. Men are so much weaker with their emotions-- they're forced to be so, and that does lead to some rather terrible consequences. Society has always been unforgiving: mostly towards women, but, in some aspects, men too.
I am sorry to hear that you know someone who has actually gone through this. I don't know what else to say... just that, this is terrible and unjust... and I hope your friend is able to get his justice.

THis one is really fascinating. I look forward to the next chapter!

A Christmas to Remember by Sly Severus
Rated: 3rd-5th Years [Reviews - 9]
Summary: It’s time for Lucius Malfoy to get a reminder about the important things in life. And what better time for a life lesson than Christmas Eve? This is a parody of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
I definitely look forward to reading more!
Author's Response: Glad you're enjoying it. Thanks for leaving a review.
This is amazing! I LOVE Lucius's comment about rekilling Bellatrix! I'm a bit saddened that Harry's "family" isn't accepting Draco either.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review. Can you really blame Lucy for wanting to rekill Bella? Anyway, Harry's family is more accepting than Lucy. At least, they wouldn't kick them out. :). Thanks again for the review.
