Wow. It's been a while. But I'm still alive, and now that I've finally got the net in the apt., I read all those wonderful reviews that have been left for me since May and before!
I adore all of the HP world. It really makes me want to buckle down and keep writing on my real novel. As per usual, I will make sure that this site (after my live journal) is the first to know once I get a publishing deal. Because I would be so flattered if since you spent so many hours and gigabytes supporting me online if you'd spend fifteen or so of your hard earned dollars (and a few more of your hours!) to read my real 'no pen-name required' novel.
Feel free to keep up with me via live journal (user name bartender713), but I will warn you- I am a 23 year old graduate student. Contents of my personal life may very well be not suitable for children, so read at your disgression. If you want to know whether you're old enough to read about my personal life, well... if you have to ask, you're probably not :-)
See you on the book shelf!!

Harry Potter and the Spirits of the Storm by QueenHal

Rated: 6th-7th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: A Post-HBP fiction.

When Harry’s quest for the horcruxes turns desperate, he leaves the security of his homeland to seek out the advice of an ancient and most unusual Council – one whose allegiance is only to themselves but whose knowledge is so vast it may be his only chance. What Harry discovers there will change everything. Soon, he comes to see that this is all so much bigger than just he and Dark Lord – his role, though pivotal, is terribly minute compared to the challenges the Wizarding World must now face.

Meanwhile, across the Atlantic Ocean, a young witch uncovers the truth about her bloodline. But only when catastrophic events begin to unfold, does she realise her importance in the greater scheme of things...

It is a tale of epic proportions: bringing in the truth behind Slytherin's betrayal, and the choices the Founders had to make to ensure the longevity of their world. Enemies must unite, lines must be crossed, and children must forgo their innocence. And behind it all, fly the Spirits of the Storm, waiting, watching, scheming. Welcome to the greatest epic war the Wizarding World has ever seen.

Chapter 11 is posted.

I'm glad Ron and Hermione got back together.... And I'm annoyed at Harry for not waiting to figure out what the deal is with the eagle chick from the council. Oh, Harry- why must you be so silly??
Another great chapter!

OOOH..... Now this is interesting. I'm wondering if you're going to bring the Heir of Hufflepuff in this somehow- because that would be cool. I know you could pull it off.
It's interesting to knwo how selfish the women are... I wonder how Harry and the others will be able to help THEM??

Excellent book- I thought it would be something like that.
Heheheh- and Fred and George are branching out. Excellent!

Oh. My. Gosh. I read just the prologue before I left for work today, and seriously, I had to tear myself away or else be late.
Your style is cunningly brilliant and flows extremely well together- I can't wait to get on reading the rest!!!!

Oh- P.S. I left a "want ad" in your live journal (thus how I found out about your fic) because I would love for you to make me a banner!!! Let me know if I missed any needed info- I'd love to hear back from you on it.

Now-- back to the story!

Woah.... that tapestry is intriguing. And the fact that all the people in this sanctuary seem to be female... well then. I have NO idea. I wonder if Harry is the first male to come here???

Oooh... I really hope Lanette and Hermione meet. I think they could learn a lot from one another. I really like this new character you've introduced, but I find one fault.
WHY, oh WHY aren't you making Lanette into her own book so you can publish it and make money off of her?!?!?!?!?! Because if you haven't thought about it-- please do! You've got such a great imagination and I think it would be great! I dont have the patience to write my own universe, so I give a lot of credit to people who do.

Very interesting.... SO what happened between Rowena and (the original) Lanette to make Lanette come to America??? Hmm...
I like the thought of Slytherin and Ravenclaw being together, but I thought it was stated that Ravenclaw was best friends w/ Hufflepuff and Slytherin with Gryffindor??? G and S WERE friends, so 'Ravenclaw knowing him best' wouldn't really work.
Or did I miss something.... Still- it's brilliant!

Harry Potter and the Unspeakable Power by mrsgeorgeweasley

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: After the trauma of his sixth year Harry and his friends enter into their last year of magical education at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The trio try to balance passing their exams with fighting Voldemort and planning their futures. Despite all that, romance will fill the air with wedding bells ringing out. This year Harry is in more danger than ever when his enemy finds new ways to try and get the Boy Who Lived. Voldemort’s presence will be felt more than ever as he steals more lives; can Harry find himself before its too late? And what adventures will he have along the way?

If you haven’t read Harry Potter and The Girl Who Lived then I would strongly urge you to do so because if you don’t then this story probably won’t make any sense to you. Be helpful to writers by Reading and Reviewing!

The very last chapter of this fic has been reworked. Please re-read there's more about the kids in there! Also my author's notes on the final chapter have also been added. Ten part fic related to this going up shortly!!

The first paragraph is PERFECT! I love how it sets it up to be so much BRIGHTER! Well done!

Fave quote- “You eat mum’s chicken pie and that does something nasty to everyone,” George argued.

I like that you had them visit the Hollow. I am so excited for book 7 when JK has the “real Harry” go back.

I thought Neville’s birthday was also on July 31st, not the 30th?? I like how Harry has his father’s wand and his parents’ wedding bands. Beautiful.

Ahhh, weddings. So glad I’m not engaged- I don’t think I’m ready to plan one any time soon. Being my best friend’s maid of honor is tough enough!

I love how everyone took charge and responsibility for the first years. The small note that Harry had 6 in his own carriage (so there wasn’t a seat left for himself) just further reminded me of how Harry always has too much to handle, whether you did it on purpose or not. I heart Harry! BTW, Malfoy is a stinky git.

I’ve read so many theories on how wizards discover their animagus forms, and this is one of the best! I really hope that JK will (finally) tell us in book 7 (or via her website) how EXACTLY a person becomes an animagus!

Oh, Ron. How precious. I love Harry’s reaction- it was very in character. He was brotherly, but without going overboard. I also ADORED Ginny’s comment- “You’re just like my mum, she’s stuck in the Dark Ages, too!” I bet girls all over the world have screamed that at their boyfriends at some time or another. Another chapter VERY well done!

Don’t be so hard on yourself! I thought the chapter was LOVELY. It was a very good break between what I’m sure has to be die-hard action coming soon. It was very nice to see the softer side of Minerva McGonagall. Besides- I did the same thing in my own story, only I had Hermione/Ginny make a list of hot guys they liked!

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: A person once said that in life, people must make sacrifices for the people and things they love the most, no matter how difficult it may be. Since he was born, Harry Potter has always been burdened with this saying. The Dark Lord, the Prophecy, and the many twists and turns in Harry’s fated life have always kept him from thinking a lot about “sacrifice” though. But at the end of Harry’s long journey of desperation and death, he reflects upon this very thought. He thinks about how it can make the greatest difference, and also how it can define a person. Most of all, however, he thinks about how lonely sacrifice can really and truly be, and how it is the most difficult decision made in life.

Wow. that was absolutely beautiful. It's only right that no one should know what spell Harry used- it was too powerful for anyone else to grasp, at least that's how I feel.
Beautiful. I hope JK's is comparable.

Author's Response: Hi! I\'m really glad you liked the story. Your review is very flattering, and I\'m glad you liked the part of no one not knowing what Harry used. Thanks a bunch!
