Hello, I'm Hermione_Rocks, though you may call me Anna, or D.E, or Mrs. Snape . . . whatever flies your kite. I'm a high school student who is hopelessly obsessed with many things, such as Harry Potter, musicals (current favorite is Sweeney Todd), books/reading, various Internet web-sites, and food.
As you can probably tell, I have an incurable love for writing fan-fiction. Would I do better to be working on original fiction? Probably. But at the moment, I just want to have fun with writing. One day I hope to be published, but I'm really not in any rush. Right now, I just want to enjoy all this. :)
I hope you find something you'd like to read while you're here, and please leave a review to let me know your thoughts. I'm always looking for feedback, good or bad.
Summary: Hermione goes back in time with one mission: to kill Tom Riddle before he ever comes to power. A difficult task, correct? An impossible one, she realizes, as a love between them grows stronger than anything she has ever known. Now Hermione has a choice to make. Will she condemn the Wizarding world to almost certain destruction, or will she take the life of the one boy she has ever loved?
Amazing. I really hope you give these two the (at least somewhat) happy ending so many of us are praying for. :)
Wow...I have no idea how you are going to end this, but this story is great. I really like how you portray Riddle/Voldemort; you can't decide whether to like him or not.
Ah, you had to leave it there, didn't you?! Well, it was wonderful of course, but such a cliffie.... Update soon! :)
I finally lost patience (as it seems many people here have been doing) and read the rest of your story on fan-fiction net. I won't spoil anything, but it was amazing. You have a beautiful style that's very poetic, in a way, and everything is just so captivating. The end wasn't at all what I expected either, but it was very well done. Excellent, that's really all that's left to say.
Hmm. I'm definitely intrigued. When I first read the summary, I instantly thought 'Oh boy. Draco/Hermione spin-off'. Goes to show we can't judge a book by it's cover, eh? (or synopsis, as the case may be) I'm still rather wary on how you will pull off the romance between the pair, but you certainly have a new fan. :)
Author's Response: Haha it\'s funny that you thought \'Draco-Hermione spinoff,\' because I\'m a D/Hr shipper at heart and this is really a change from my usual. But no, I think Draco and Tom are completely different characters. Tom is smarter, handsomer, crueller, eviler, more ruthless, and not someone who can be bothered with love or something as silly and frivilous. Or so he thinks for now... ;D I was really apprehensive about writing this pairing because I had no idea how to pull off a romance either. If you\'re looking for fluffy sap, this is not the story for you... the majority of this story is non-romantic because I feel like Tom is an extremely jaded and down-to-earth character for the most part, and Hermione is the same way, to a lesser extent. Well, here\'s hoping it works out somehow... thanks for the review! ;D
Wow. DID NOT see that one coming...I really loved what Riddle said about the flower's fate; those lines were just beautifully written.
This is really good! Kari is just evil! Can't wait for next chapter!
Summary: *one-shot* One question has plagued the Wizarding world for years. Why did Sirius Black laugh? Some have come up with their own answers, and others are content to sit and speculate. When Prophet reporter, Tom Wilkes goes to speak with Sirius Black, he gets an inscrutable and long-awaited answer from the notorious criminal. Sometimes you have to laugh, just to keep from crying.
That was really good! It really makes you think. Write more stories in the future!
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it! I really, really liked writing this. Thanks so much!
Summary: Since the tragedy at the Astronomy Tower, Harry has become an even more formidable wizard, but a shocking revelation may mean the difference between life and death for The Boy Who Lived. It is the final stage of Harry's quest to destroy Lord Voldemort - can he save the Wizarding World and those he loves from the treachery of the Dark Lord... and also save himself? [Action takes place in media res towards the end of Harry's Seventh Year at Hogwarts (Post-HBP).]
'Life is what happens between the ‘tick’ and ‘tock’ of the clock'...I loved that line. I had tears in my eyes most of this chapter...great job.
I am sobbing over here...that was brilliant. But did you really have to make it so painful...? Despite the fact that I can't believe you really killed Harry (and Snape:( ), I would say this is one of my favorite fan-fics . Everything was just so...ahh, I can't think clearly when I'm trying to stop crying. Loved every moment of this chapter, and the whole thing; you're a great writer.
That was incredible. I was close to tears at parts. You're probably sick of hearing this, but you write action really well. Again, it was AWESOME.
Author's Response: Hehe... I'm never sick of hear that. I spend a lot of time and energy on those action sequences, so it gives me warm fuzzies anytime someone comments on it. Thank you so much for your review :)
I just started reading your story yesterday and I think it's amazing. You write action really well. Keep it up!
Author's Response: Thank you so much :).
Loved it. Everything was just...perfect. Fabulous last line, as well. Nicely done, and looking forward to the prequel. :)
It's interesting so far. Snape's one of my favorite characters.:) It's really short, so it's kind of hard to see the direction you're taking with it, but it's good. Keep it up!
Author's Response: Thanks a lot! Yeah, we know it's short, but the next post will be longer, promise. It'll hopefully be up next week, but the submission process has been going slowly lately, so we can't really be sure. Anyway, thanks for your review :-)
Really great story, can't wait for more!
Author's Response: Thank you for your review!
Yay, you updated! This chapter was, of course, really good. Look forward to the next chapter (hopefully soon)!
Author's Response: Hey thanks for coming back! It's so nice to know people check this story for updates. I've got my outline written, but school's been drawing my attention away from the story. I also have that canon error the previous reviewer pointed out to take care of.
Part I of Romance Slytherin Style - Somewhere Only We Know by SeaIsleWitch
Rated: Professors [Reviews - 78]
Summary: Near the end of sixth year, an overdue confrontation between Pansy Parkinson and Draco Malfoy leads to an emotionally charged evening, that neither will forget. This story depicts a missing scene from HBP and includes a humorous cameo of our favourite Potions Master. (Complete - 3 Chapters)
Part I of Romance, Slytherin Style - A Trilogy
* Let me change your mind about the Slytherins you love to hate. *
I really liked this fic. You made Pansy and Draco are a sweet couple, but did not lose sight of their Slytherin traits either. This was a really enjoyable little fic.
However, I do have to say that Snape and Pomfrey was very disturbing. Lol. >.>
Author's Response: *giggle snort* I added that for my Snape-centric friends to get them to read my story. (It worked!) Anyway, I\'m happy to see you liked the story. - SIW
Summary: The meadow was still. One lonely stranger sat underneath the shelter of a willow tree, gazing up at the bright stars. With a long index finger he traced pictures from the glistening dots. His mouth whispered words silently, words of pain and anguish, as he gazed up into the whirlpool of space. His dark eyes resembled the black hole of his soul, as he waited for the white-petal flower to redeem him.
This bit was extremely sad. It's really well done though. Excellent, don't stop!
This is really well written. I love Snape as a character and you've really done him well. The Snape/Lily thing was a bit weird for me, but I know a lot of people do support it and you wrote it pretty believable. Write more in the future!
Summary: Nine years has passed since Harry defeated Voldemort. Nine years that he spent in a coma. He wakes, to find that life has passed him by. How do you go on, and can love be found after it has been destoryed?
This story was written pre HBP and takes none of that new cannon into account. Also, it might be better defined as a series of one shots than an ongoing story.
Poor Harry and Ginny...it's so sad but it's really good. You better put them together at the end of the story. ;)
Author's Response: Thanks, and no promises regarding Harry and Ginny.
