Summary: Will Ginny's love be the salvation or death of Harry?
To my fans I would like to say that I am back to writing, and I have now updated many of the chapters! Some changes are just grammer edits, but there are many adds and changes to chapters. Some based on your reviews or small things I felt needed to be added. Please take a look at the changes and let me know what you think. I am looking forward to hearing what you have to say about the changes and up comeing chapters.
I thought Harry was acting a little OOC in this chapter - a bit too...formal I suppose. It's very good though!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review, was there a moment or moments that stood out to you?
Hi everyone just to say this story is finished, there will not be any more chapters. Sorry if that wasn't clear beforeb>
Harry and Ginny are married, with a seven-year old daughter. As Ginny finds out she is pregnant with her second child, memories come back to her, good and bad. The war is over, and everyone feels safe. Shouldn’t they? Strange things are happening, mysterious plots are being formed, putting Harry and his loved ones in danger. Everyone knows he will do anything for the people he loves…Especially Ginny.
ccoooooooooooooooooooollllllllllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i think harry should get really angry at her and lisle gets so jelous she runs away! how evil am I?
Author's Response: Mwah hah hah hah haaaaaa!!!!!!!!! U'll see in the next chapter..dun dun duuuuuunnnn........ i mite be eeeeevvvilll...or not. Lol i am sane, dont worry ;) thanks 4 the review!!!!!!!!!!!
Summary: Harry Potter has just finished attending Dumbledore's funeral and now has to search for and destroy the remaining Horcruxes. My version of book 7. Thank you to KDTheRavenclaw for agreeing to beta this story, I am indebted to you. Consider this story abandoned since I am too busy with my family to keep writing. I tried to submit a summery of the rest of the story, but MNFF is too picky to allow it, so I apologize.
I really like this story, you've got the charaterization just right and from what I've seen so far it's got a good plot too. One small thing though, make sure you always have question marks when a charater asks a question. I probably just being fussy but that's my pet peeve.
Still, it's a really good story and I'm adding it to my favorites!
Author's Response: Thanks, and I\'m working on the question mark thing, it was one of my biggest grammer problems.
I think this should be a Harry/Ginny fic but otherwise very good
V. Good - but one little thing - pond water in England is the furthest thing from clear! It's murky brown and has reeds and frogs and stuff. Apart from that I love it!
Author's Response: Yah...I know...I thought about that about two chapters after a wrote it, but I have an excuse! The Weasleys are a magic family, right? So they could have put some sort of charm on it so it would stay clear and not all murk up with reeds and mud and stuff. :D thanks for the review! Lisa xxx
Summary: With the help of an ancient spell, his friends, and love, Harry embarks on his mission to destroy Voldemort. What will happen on the way? With Ginny, Ron, and Hermione by his side, will Harry find the solution? And where do Neville and Luna fit in all this?
And, as of August 25, 2006, I'm done. I sure hope you liked it!
What? I love your story but I didn't get this chapter! I'l reread it and see if that works...
Author's Response: I\'m glad that you love the story, but I\'m sorry you don\'t understand this chapter. Feel free to email me if you want and/or need clarification. This was an important chapter in the story!
Summary: What happens when two couples play the old - fashioned game where both are hiders as well as seekers? And what will go wrong when others interfere? A fun romantic comedy to tickle your ivories.
ok, I'm reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally sorry chapter 2 is taking sooooooooo long to come out, but i've been trying. It's already be rejected twice, and I want to make sure it's as perfect as I can get it before I submit it again.
Hey this story is awesome - when are you gonna update?
Author's Response: Thabk you very much. I\'m sorry about the wait, my internet has been down for the past month, but chapter 2 should be in que in the next couple of weeks
Heh, is this going to update any time soon? Because I'm so desperate to read more!!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the review. Sorry chapter two is taking so long. I\'m having a friend read it and make some revisions, so it should be up fairly soon. Thanks for being pacient!
Summary: Draco is drawn to Ginny by an outstanding characteristic. She won't talk to him; his past behaviour is too much for her to accept all at once. She has two accusations. Draco has an explanation for each. What will Ginny decide? Dedicated to the Pride & Prejudice and D/G lovers.
Conceit & Contempt by callmehermione
When searching for a new short story to review, I stumbled across this wonderful little story bundled up in a one-shot. I had clicked on Draco/Ginny purely on the off chance, never really thinking that I'd find a decent one-shot that managed to pull together Draco and Ginny so quickly in a believable way. However, callmehermione (CMH for short) has managed this, more or less.
While it's not the most believable fic I've read (I'll come onto that), it does manage to create a cute little scene that I'm sure many Draco/Ginny shippers will love.
I'll do the positive aspects of the story first.
The way CMH has written Ginny's character is almost flawless. Though I doubt Ginny would believe Draco's story so quickly, she does seem to be in character, especially as CMH has managed to involve the break-up with Harry, without making Ginny into a Cho Chang, aka, human hose pipe.
I also love how Draco doesn't come out with the whole "I loved you the moment I saw you, but I was too proud to say anything." What ever.
The way CMH has managed to thread Pride and Prejudice throughout the story is beautiful, and very clever. It adds that little extra to the story.
Negative aspects of the story... well, the largest is Draco. He seems in-character at the start of the fic, but towards the end... well, he sounds much more like Harry. It's not like Draco Malfoy to read a muggle romance, really, it's not like any boy to read a romance novel and then admit it to a girl, even if she herself likes it. It's certainly nothing like Draco. It's also rather strange, although it was written very well, that Draco gave off a speech on why he's the way he is. Again, that's Harry.
Despite this, it's a wonderful little one-shot, and I enjoyed reading it.
Written for the Fanfiction Junction review challenge by apollo13 of Slytherin House.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for this well-thought-out review! I really greatly appreciate your efforts. I understand what you mean about Draco\'s change in character, but it was kind of supposed to emulate Darcy\'s, and I didn\'t know how to do it any other way. Again, thank you. Especially for your comments about Ginny!
Summary: Severus Snape, dangerously embroiled in his duties as Dumbledore's spy, encounters yet further obstacles when he begins to harbor feelings for a sixth year Gryffindor student. Succumbing to his desires sets in motion a chain of events that could very well destroy all that he and the opposition of Lord Voldemort have striven so hard to accomplish. Please keep in mind that this is written from the angle that Snape is no longer a follower of Voldemort, and that its events coincide with books 4, 5, and 6, with a slight continuation beyond HBP. (Chapters 1-15 need some fixing to work with Book 7.)
Um, I think this should have a student/teacher warning. It's good, but yeah, it kinda gave me a shock because I didn't really read the summary properly.
Author's Response: Hmm, I wasn\'t aware that there was a student/teacher warning tag. It must have been added after I started work on this story (almost a year ago at this point.) The moderators didn\'t ask me to add the tag so I remained blissfully ignorant of its existence. Anyway, I shall add it. Thanks for the heads-up!
Is this going to update any time soon? Because I'm so desperate to read more!!
really great story. i loved it.
Summary: The war is over. Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley finally have the chance for the happiness they've been craving. But, with Harry recovering from the war and Ginny back in school, can they finally have the relationship they've always wanted?
******Higher rating just to be safe.
Gah! This story is so sweet and I'm desperate to read more!!! Please update!!! I can't wait for the ceremony and I'd really like to see more evil newspaper reports; they're always so funny.
FINALLY! I've been waiting so long for this chapter - it's been maddening! Hopefully the next one won't take as long **hinthintnudgenudge**
Once again, you've produced a brilliant chapter - I can't wait for Harry's hearing. Ooooh, what will the newspapers say about it?
Loved this chapter; everybody seems too miss the attention Ginny must get and how jelous other girls would be. One small mistake though - You called Ginny Virginia, Jo actually told us in an interview that it's Ginervra or something like that
Author's Response: Yes, I do know that Ginny\'s name is Ginevra. I used Virginia on purpose showing that the reporter did not know what her real name was. Thank you for reading!
I'm getting sick to death of this! I'm sorry, I love your story - I've reccomended it to nearly every Slyth on the forums, but in the past week I've recieved EIGHTEEN emails saying that chapter 15 is validated, when it's not. Can you please please please talk to a mod about this? It's driving me insane!
Author's Response: There was a technical issue and I have to wait for it to be approved again. Please be patient with the matter. The chapter will be up as soon as the mods can get to it again.
AAAAHHH! UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!!! I need to know what happens!!! I love this story but I did think Harry was a little OOC when he was reciving his award. I can't quite put my finger on it but something about him wasn't quite right. Anyways, I can't wait for the next chapter - you really are a fantastic writer.
I got all excited when I got an email saying it was updated (Because this is my favorite story) and it's not updated!!!!! GAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!! I know the mods are swamped and I could understand if they didn't validate it for ages but why send an email when it's not updated???? I can't wait to read it though!
Summary: When looking for Remus, Hermione, Ron, and Ginny stumble across a Pensieve, and find out the real story of Lily and James, told through the memories of their classmates.
oh I loved it! It was really great - I thought you captured the characters really well!
Author's Response: Thanks! I tried really hard to keep the characters IC.
Summary: This story starts out right were HBP left off. Ron and Hermione obviously have feelings for each other. All they need is a little help, confidence, and a push in the right direction. Will Harry and Ginny get back together in their quest to push together their best friends? Will Harry and his friends be able to destroy Voldemort? It will take love, friendship, strength, and trust to be able to free the wizarding world from the clutches of the Dark Lord.
I love this first chapter, i think you have the characterization perfect. But i'm a bit confused as to why Ginny isn't more upset. Oh, well, I expect we'll see more of her later. Also, I don't like how Ron calls Hermione Mione, it's one of my pet peeves, but it's your fic and your imagination so I leave you to it.
On to the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thank you sooo much. I\'ll keep your suggestions in mind. Thank you for reviewing and I hope you like the rest of the story.
