I'm a truck driver who was introduced to Harry Potter by my daughter in 1999. The books are fantastic, the movies are some of the best made, and the fanfic is better than that I've read in Star Trek, Buffy, and even the Xena universes.
BTW, the Sorting Hat put me exactly where I belong, in Gryffindor.

I know you meant "pore" over their letters; I found myself wondering if they added sugar after pouring milk over the letters!

Normally I avoid Draco/Hermione stories like I would a rabid dog. This is the first one I've read that I found believable. It pulled me into it without letting on that it was a D/H, held me in its grip, and persuaded me for once that a D/H relationship could be possible.

JKR's characters have focused so much on the worst Muggles that we forget others would be very unlikely to react as negatively as they did to Harry, yet would be just as unlikely to consider it as wonderful as we fans believe we would. I also have to admire your story-telling skills--you drew me right into the story, introduced me to the characters without drawing attention to the fact you were doing it, and kept it all moving. Please consider doing this one again as a multi-chaptered story with MUCH more to it. What you gave us is SO good it's hard to believe you left out so much.
