I'm a 57 yr. old full professor and father of two grown daughters. Harry Potter was a lifeline during a very turbulent time. I still meet for trivia every week at knockturn.org and even hosted a Harry Potter Non-Con for 8 of us this summer.
In her seventh year, Katie Bell knew what it was like to fear death. A year later, she learnt what it was like to see it in front of her. Nothing she had ever experienced had prepared her to deal with the aftermath of that. And then he came.
Caught in a whirlwind of Quidditch, heartbreak, and a rivalry, Katie struggled with her jumbled mess of feelings, one of which she hadn't expected but was growing certain that she could never live without.
Oh my freaking Salazar! This story WON TWO 2011 Quicksilver Quill Awards: Best Post-Hogwarts Story and Best Non-Canon Romance Story. *flail*
This (late) update was brought to you by the (belated) birthday of the ever-lovely Hannah / h_vic. She is a star and an excellent friend!
Wonderful story. Parts brought tears to my eyes. It ties in so well. Katie was so one-dimensional in the books and this gives her more depth.
Well, not quite as tear-jerky as chapter one, but a fun read. Good to be continued.
Nice touching scene in the middle. Interesting twist at the end.
Fun chapter, but, starting to read like a chic-flic. Good hanging ending, though.
Half-way. Hmmm. Good interpersonal/character development. Keeps me wondering where it is going. I'll finish it tomorrow.
It is good to see how this universe fits in with the canon backstory.
aggh! You're going to leave me hanging? More!
