Summary: For the rest of the Ministry, the interdepartmental challenge was merely a failed attempt to restore trust between workers. But for Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger, it was the catalyst for an unexpected relationship built on passionate letters, concealed identities, and secret meetings – and the beginning of an end that neither of them could ever have imagined possible, not even in their wildest dreams.
Post-war. Based somewhat on the story of the Phantom of the Opera. Also contains R/Hr, so don't read if you can't stomach that ship.
Status: Complete. Thanks for reading, everyone!
So she says she cares for him and talks about friendship, and Ron's all "do you love him"? If he's going to be like that, then he was never worth her time in the first place. Sorry, I've never liiked the guy. Draco's reaction was realistic, as was Hermione's confusion. What is Greyback planning to do with Noah anyways?
No!!!!! Not the suspense!
I love how they're slowly starting to turst each other. Will we have to wait for the end to find out if they'll go together?
NOOOO!!! Not Ron! He's too silly and immature and not cool and ungroovy and unblonde and- well, I was starting to love Draco there. You'll make it into a kick-butt story anyways. XOXO!
I almost died when I thought this was the last chapter! I still loathe Ron, but you had a good point in letting Hermione go back to him. He's more stable all the way around, but it's a story, why couldn't Draco have become miraculously reformed? Keep it up! (and it's not too late to change the very end, if you would consider that):)
But when will they meet and figure it all out? Wil they hate each other, or will they have a complete change of mind? Lovely job!!
Summary: It's a rescue, really. At least, that's what Fred and George Weasley manage to convince him of. After all, Hermione is sure to be a target for revenge seeking Purebloods - what could any right-minded Wizard do but step in to help?
But with the shadow of Voldemort still hanging over a frightened community, Oliver is about to find out that the consequences of doing the right thing can get very out of hand!
An Oliver Wood/Hermione Granger Romance
You do a great job with characterization, and I love your take on the Marriage Law!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I know this particular \'ground\' has been much ploughed over before, so I really tried to do something a little different with it. :-)
Amazing, as usual- it was the best surprise I've had all week when I looked in the Hermione/Other and found this updated. About how many more chapters are left?
Author's Response: Thank you so much, hon! My original outline calls for 15 chapters and a small epilogue, and I\'ve been sticking pretty close to that so far, so we are truely \'further back then in\' by this point. :-)
That was a beautiful ceremony. I liked the blood binding and the marten with the heather- does it have some relevance in the rest of the story? It was a nice touch.
Author's Response: Why thank you - I had a lot of fun writing this scene :-) As to the relevence of the augury, this authoress isn\'t telling... >.> <.<
The wedding will be amazing! I love the older Woods, and I'm totally falling for your Oliver. Keep up the awesome work!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! The wedding was fun to write - I think everyone will enjoy it :-) The Woods were a blast to write - just so much fun to delve into what made Oliver who he was *lol*
Such a sweet story! Keep it up!
Author's Response: Thanks! I\'ve tried to keep it beleivable and fought against rushing anything. Glad you\'re liking it! ~Ny
I love your story- I'd never thought of Hermione and Oliver before, and I like his accent. Good job!
Author's Response: Thank you! You wouldn\'t believe how many headaches his accent gave me ;-) ~Ny
Is the stuff in italics a dream or real? This is a great story, keep it up!!!
Author's Response: Can\'t tell you yet - but the next chapter should actually go into queue shortly! Thank you for reviewing - it\'s wonderful to get all this encouragement! :-)
Please tell me they resolve something in the next chapter! Who's Mycroft Pafft? I feel like I missed something in an earlier chapter, or maybe I just need to re-read.
Author's Response: *looks shifty* I\'m not telling...
Sorry - Mycroft Pafft is the dead researcher. I beleive his name was mentioned in chapter 10 - where Oliver and Hermione are discussing the museum break-in, after his discussion with Ron. :-)
Summary: Hermione goes back in time with one mission: to kill Tom Riddle before he ever comes to power. A difficult task, correct? An impossible one, she realizes, as a love between them grows stronger than anything she has ever known. Now Hermione has a choice to make. Will she condemn the Wizarding world to almost certain destruction, or will she take the life of the one boy she has ever loved?
Pleasepleaseplease add another chapter where he recognizes her at the very end and there's the whole history-changing-bloody-nose-thing like on the Butterfly Effect and he's an amazingly handsome guy again and he doesn't really kill her friends and James and Lilly and them are all still alive. But don't DO THIS!!! (Amazing story- agonizing, beautiful, tear your heart out and cry, but amazing.)
Bravo! This story was so sad, but so beautiful. *sniff*
Bravo! This story was so sad, but so beautiful. *sniff*
Summary: A procrastinating Potions master puts his worst foot forward as he makes an unwavering, albeit unconventional attempt to prevent Hermione's marriage. Will forty-eight hours afford Severus Snape sufficient time to convince her that he is a supercilious and unmitigated nuisance? Written in response to the Spring Faire Festival's "I Want to Kiss the Bride" story option.
This was one of the first pieces of fanfiction I read a long time ago, and I still love it! Actually, it got me into the HGSS ship, and it made me go find Highly Improbable- which is amazing too, I might add.
Author's Response: It was nice of you to pop through for a second read. Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed it. :-)

Summary: Post OotP - Lupin is coming to terms with the losses in his life and struggling to continue with his role within The Order. After a series of events, Lupin and Hermione find that all was not as it seemed nor who it seemed to be, and they grow much closer, more than seemed possible.
i like this story; you're not jumping right into things- your background and setting are great!
Author's Response: Thank you, yes, I like to take a slowish journey, its more fun that way :)
