I'm an avid reader, writer, reviewer, blogger, podcaster, fangirl. I'm currently doing my GCSEs, and so there isn't always a lot of time for writing, but I always make time to read great stories.
Summary: Frank Longbottom is trying to propose to his partner and girlfriend, Alice Hamilton, but his attempts at romance are constantly being interrupted. If he ever manages to give her the ring, will she say yes?
This is Gmariam of Ravenclaw writing for the Great Hall Cotillion 2013.
I love this! I (again) love your Alice/Frank fics and am delighted to see the storyline I know continuing. Keep writing!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed this, it was fun although a few things tripped me up here and there. I have no plans to stop writing so hopefully with all this Cotillion stuff over I can get back to their origin story now. Thank you for the recommendation on the audiofic. I don't know if they'll choose it as I've had several others recorded, but I was really touched to see your lovely rec. Thanks again! ~Gina :)
Summary: Remus and Dora have only just got into this strange and stupid and perfect routine of playing lovers. They shouldn't have to give it up now.
Set between OOTP and HBP.
Eeeeep! This story has been nominated for a 2013 Quicksilver Quill Award: Best Canon Romance. Thank you.
Love it! Seriously, wow :) You should write a LOT more than that! And it's a blackberry ;)
Author's Response: Thank you so much :) I have a lot of their backstory in my head, and I intend on posting more of it at some point, so watch this space! And my mother and sister both have BlackBerrys. Not my thing, hehe, but whatever -- I just hope you liked my story :3 Thanks for the review!
Summary: Fame and infamy are closely related. Reputations are not always what they seem. Lavender Brown has a lot of explaining to do.
Awesome little one-shot which follows on from others that I've read. Love it!
Author's Response: Thank you. -N-
Summary: Teddy Lupin is not a werewolf. Of that he is sure. And Metamorphmagi can only imitate human features. Of that he is also sure. So how is it one night, when the moon hangs round in the sky, young Teddy finds that he can morph his hand into a fur-covered claw?
Great chapter! Please update as I really want to know how this is going to turn out :)
Author's Response: Thank you! How will it turn out? Well we'll just have to see... ;)
Looking forward to some more!
Author's Response: It's coming! Slowly...but still, it is coming.
Summary: When Sirius Black was taken to Azkaban, he left someone behind. After his escape, he and the woman he loved struggle to put their lives back together, with many complications along the way. See the events from GoF to HBP from another point of view. Sirius/Emmeline Vance.
Great to see another chapter - please update as soon as possible!
Author's Response: Expect about a chapter a week!
Summary: Being poisoned has its advantages - Hermione is talking to Ron again. Unfortunately so is Lavender. Ron hopes to sort this out once and for all if only he could work out how.
Awww! This is an adorable fic, and one of the few to really get inside Ron's head. They are so cute :)
Summary: Albus remembered her, through everything that happened. And he just wanted to go back to where it all began, where everything was fine.
That was really beautiful. Your writing is equisite - I love how we start backwards. Maybe you could flashback though at the end to Albus & James going to the funeral at the end? It would just resolve it a little. But great overall anyway :)
Author's Response: I'm blushing right now. I'm so glad you enjoyed it; I was worried about how the backwards timeline would go. I don't think I'd want to have them going to the funeral, mostly because I really don't think I could cause Al anymore pain in this. I just kind of liked the idea of it ending with them saying their names. It made me think how innocent it was, and how it could have been nothing if he'd just continued on the street. Thank you so much for the review!
Summary: George Weasley is turning twenty-one, but he isn't sure he can do it alone.
Warning is due to mentions of CD.
Gorgeous fic. Just amazing - your portrayal of George and Angelina is so perfect :)
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review. I am glad you enjoyed it!
Summary: Sometimes, famous people attract unwanted attention. But minor magical misdemeanours have nothing to do with the Muggle Interface Team, do they?
Great tale and awesome OC character!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. -N-
Summary: Currently a not-quite-fully-qualified Auror, Tonks is approached out of the blue by Kingsley Shacklebolt with a rather interesting case about werewolves.
The problem (besides the fact that a dangerous Muggle is thrown in the mix)? The werewolf in question -- Remus Lupin -- defies Tonks's expectations in every way possible.
This was written for Sophie/The owl for SPEW Summer Swap IV. :)
Great little fic, would love to read more!
Author's Response: Thank you so much :) I don't have any sequels planned for this, but I recently wrote another Remus/Tonks story, Left Behind, which is actually more my style (read: smutty :D). Anyway, thank you for the lovely review and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Summary: After the Battle of Hogwarts, Draco Malfoy and his family found themselves as outcasts. Hated by the Magical community, they were shunned for months following the battle. Draco, having changed dramatically during his service as a Death Eater, knew that his family got what they deserved - even felt they should have received a more severe punishment. He regretted and hated his past and had no reason to believe that his future would be much of an improvement.
Until he got a letter inviting him back to Hogwarts.
He knew the risks. He knew the consequences. But he didn't know her.
I wrote my first a few months ago, so well done on yours :) Love the characterisation, and if anything I'd love it to be longer! Please update soon.
Author's Response: Thank you very much! I am most definitely not finished with it. I plan on a nice long story with a decent plot. I feel like it's hard to find those sometimes so I'm trying my best with my own story. I promise to update as soon as I can. I work 2 jos morning to night so it might take me a little while. Thank again!
Summary: Maybe he didn’t just love history, maybe he loved being a history teacher.
Love this - awesome to read about the life and times of grown-up Teddy Lupin which aren't solely based on romance :)
Summary: Theodore Nott had never wanted to be a hero. All he wanted to do was escape his last name. When Luna Lovegood makes a special request of him, he finds he may just be able to.
This is eternalangel of Ravenclaw, and this is my final for the Missing Moments class on the MNFF Beta Boards.
A great fic - I'm really glad I checked the recent panel! Anyway, I like how you wrote as a character which wasn't really used in the books; managing to combine what little we know of him with believable character traits. I also liked Theo's relationship with Luna, and I'm glad that you didn't insert some sort of romance between them as I don't really see them as a couple. All in all, I'd love to read more!
War takes things and keeps on taking them, and the things it takes don't come back to you. A story about Hannah Abbott and Terry Boot. This is WeasleyMom of Hufflepuff writing for the Romance Class final on the beta boards. I can't thank Kara enough for her incredible help and encouragement with this story. Her beta work was fabulous and I'm eternally grateful! Thanks also to my flist for chatting me through various issues as I wrote this. You lot know who you are. *hugs*
Author's Response: Thank you!
Summary: Lily Evans is in her last year of Hogwarts, and she is Head Girl. But who should be her partner but her one-time enemy James Potter? But...he's different. He's changed...for the better. And Lily finds herself enjoying his company. Watch their journey - from enemies to acquaintances to friends to friends with potential to...significant others?
I really like where you're going with this fic - I love the James/Lily dynamic and like Lily's internal monologue. But I just wanted to ask if you have a beta for your fic? It's just that I noticed you called Alice "Alice Longbottom" in one section and thought that if you want a beta for future chapters then I'd love to help :)
Summary: It's a big day for Teddy Lupin and he's all ready to go ahead and pop the question to Victoire. Things, however, don't always go as planned, and Teddy just gets into one of those situations.
This is Ginny Weasley Potter of Hufflepuff House and this is my one-shot for the final of ‘So this is Romance’ class over at the Mugglenet Fanfiction Beta Boards.
Awww, the cuteness that is Teddy :) And although I'm sure you have a life to lead outside of MNFF, please don't fully give up on us!
Author's Response: Yes, I did rather enjoy writing Teddy. :) As for leaving this place, I'll never leave, I'll be around, but it's just that my muse seems to have disappeared and I'm facing an awful lot of time issues. I'm not giving up on the WIPs. They'll still come and I won't stop until I finish those. :)
Summary: Three year old Teddy Lupin ponders the photographs on the living room side table.
This is so beautiful that I cannot actually comprehend my thoughts enough to write you a proper review (even though I know you must want one). All I can say is that you've truly captured the innocence of childhood and the sorrow that comes with somebody passing on, all combined together.
Thanks for writing this fic :)
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the lovely review! I am extremely happy to hear that Teddy came across as young and innocent. I wasn't sure if he came off to old for his age. Thank you again for the encouraging words!
Summary: Fresh after the defeat of Voldemort, the wizarding world is in a near state of panic when an elusive band of wizards are targeting and assassinating accused Death Eaters before their high-profile trials. The Wizengamot is upset that justice is being obstructed; the Ministry of Magic is concerned that they appear weak in the eyes of its citizens; the overworked Aurors are fending off accusations of incompetence, since they cannot catch the mysterious perpetrators. Kingsley Shacklebolt, the newly elected Minister of Magic, comes to Azkaban to convince cellmates Severus Snape and Lucius Malfoy to assist a team of Aurors with their unproductive investigation, in exchange for a temporary release from prison.
Love this! I don't read too much AU, but it seems that Snape's survival is just too good not to read! Great fic, I can't wait to read more :)
Author's Response: Thank you for your very sweet review! :) I'm glad to hear that you gave the story a try; hopefully, you will enjoy the upcoming chapters. I agree with you 100% about Snape's survival being "too good" to pass up. Happy Reading! :) Smiles, Ruby Emeralds
Great chapter - I can't wait to read more! I find your characterisation of Snape interesting (compared to his role in your 'Accidental series), e.g. when he beats Lucius up in Azkaban. More of a tough guy I guess :) Your interpretation of Lucius in this fic reminds me a little of Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but I don't know if that's just because I've been watching a lot of it recently...
As I said, awesome chapter and I can't wait for the next!
Author's Response: Thank you for your lovely review! :) I enjoyed hearing your thoughts about Snape being a "tough guy" - I've always seen him as the type of person who would do whatever he had to to accomplish what needed to be done; having grown up with a violent Muggle father, I don't think it is unreasonable to assume that he knows how to defend himself without the use of magic. As to Lucius, you will be seeing more of him in the next chapter, which should be posted within the next couple of days. Thanks for reading and sending me your thoughts! :) Smiles, Ruby Emeralds
