I'm an avid reader, writer, reviewer, blogger, podcaster, fangirl. I'm currently doing my GCSEs, and so there isn't always a lot of time for writing, but I always make time to read great stories.
Summary: Glimpses into Remus Lupin's life at Hogwarts, all trying to answer the question: Is Remus a normal wizard who just has a “furry little problem”, or is he a werewolf among wizards, trying to fit in where he may never truly belong?
Now with more Snape down the Whomping Willow! Check out Chapter 10: A Highly Amusing Joke and Chapter 11: Skyfall
Even though it is extremely long it's so well written - I've just written my first fic too so I get that you wany feedback. Love your writing style and the way the story flows. -- And as for topic choice, I love Marauder so it's a win-win :)
Author's Response: Yeah, I should probably take that bit off the end of the chapter since I'm not really a newbie to fan fiction anymore, but I'm glad you like my writing. Thanks for the review :)
Can't wait for the next chapter! Hearing this situation from Jame's POV was very interesting and I wanted to punch Snape at several points ;) Anyway, please update soon!
Author's Response: Haha, I also want to punch Snape a lot! I thought James's POV would be cool. He's not quite the hero Harry imagined him to be, but I still think he was pretty heroic, whatever his motivations. Thank you for the review. I'm still working on chapter 12, but I'll try not to make you wait too long! And let me know if you write anything else.
In the Battle of Hogwarts, Tonks has nothing left but promises to keep.
I'll be back. I promise.
I know that a story's good when I cry a little over it. You used such an emotional situation to your advantage and filled the gaps perfectly. Can't wait to read more!
What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet
– William Shakespeare
But for Lily and James Potter, it wasn't that simple.
Perfectly concise and funny. A nice little marauder story that fits perfectly into canon.
Summary: I cannot see their bodies, buried beneath the ruins of their life together, but I know they are there. I can imagine their green and hazel eyes, staring into the dark emptiness. It is all I can do to stay upright, filled with equal parts rage and grief as I gaze unseeing at the heartbreaking scene.
How did it come to this?
Author's Response: Thank you for reading! I really appreciate the review! ~Gina :)
Summary: In the Final Battle, we know that Remus and Tonks lost their lives fighting; however, we never saw a death scene for the two of them. We don't know what was going on with them during the battle. We only know that Remus came before Tonks, and then we see that they are both dead. This story is my take on how the power of love can never be ignored, just like Dumbledore always said.
A really great concept for a story, as I love Remus & Tonks but have never read any based around their deaths before. I'd be happy to beta for you anytime!
A photograph and a slew of memories were all that remained of Remus Lupin's schoolboy romance with Marlene McKinnon. But she was gone, and he gagged on all the things he never said.
This story is dedicated to the gorgeous and always-inspiring Equinox Chick/Carole/Croll of the Dungeon. May your minions never stray in their worship of you. It was inspired by a rather gorgeous song by The Cure, called Pictures of You.
This story has been nominated for a 2012 Quicksilver Quill Award: Best Marauder Era.
Beautiful, short and sweet.
Summary: It had been three years since his wife's death, but the first woman to make him feel something is the last woman he'd have thought. The fact that he's closer in age to her father than to her does not help matters.
Otherwise known as All Soraya's Fault.
Important note: I used the Student/Teacher warning as a precaution; the relationship in this story is between a teacher and his former student, for whom he had no feelings while she was under his tutelage. Just to be clear.
Another important note: I'm not JKR. She has a much nicer house.
A great story - I was sceptical of the pairing at first but your intricate storytelling pulled at my heartstrings and made me believe in them. Please keep writing!
Summary: Charlie Weasley loves his job in Romania: he was born to lead the life of a carefree dragon keeper. Yet when a new keeper from Wales arrives to help with a difficult Chinese Fireball, Charlie is forced to take on a partner, when he'd rather work alone. And this new keeper challenges him in more ways than one…
Love, love, love this ship! I've enjoyed all the fics of yours that I've read, but this is one of the first original ships that I've agreed with. I couldn't see how you could possibly end this tale in such a short space of time but it was true perfection.
Summary: Seven months after leaving Hogwarts, James Potter is fighting for the Order of the Phoenix. When Lily Evans joins the resistance, his life is turned upside down. He'd proposed, after all, and she had said no. How could they work together now, after so much history together? Or could they find another chance amidst the war?
Love this fic, and how you write James/Lily! Have been trying to write a Marauder One-Shot and this is exactly how I want to capture their relationship.
Summary: When impulsive new Auror Alice Hamilton is partnered with the more serious and experienced Frank Longbottom, neither is quite sure what to expect. They have a history, after all, and a different way of approaching the job. Yet in a world where dark forces continue to threaten the safety and security of the magical community, they must work together in spite of their feelings--especially when it becomes clear that You-Know-Who is planning a major offensive that will threaten both their relationship and their lives.
I love Alice and Frank's relationship and the realistic way that you write. Keep up the awesome work, and I look forward to the battle!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm so glad you are enjoying this story. I'm working on the battle but boy, it's hard work. ;) Hopefully it will work itself out soon. Thank you again for the review! ~Gina :)
Summary: As N.E.W.T.s quickly approach, Lily Evans struggles with her once-perfect boggart spell, while James Potter cannot seem to master the Patronus Charm. A strange journey through a long-lost room within the castle guides the two Heads through their troubles, leading them to an unexpected end where they find much more than the ability to master their magic.
This is Gmariam of Ravenclaw writing for the Great Hall Cotillion Challenge.
This is a really interesting and wonderfully written James/Lily tale that I'll be sure to re-read!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it that much. I still think it's rather strange but maybe interesting is a better word. I really appreciate the rec for audiofics as well. Thank you so much! ~Gina :)
Summary: Frank Longbottom is trying to propose to his partner and girlfriend, Alice Hamilton, but his attempts at romance are constantly being interrupted. If he ever manages to give her the ring, will she say yes?
This is Gmariam of Ravenclaw writing for the Great Hall Cotillion 2013.
I love this! I (again) love your Alice/Frank fics and am delighted to see the storyline I know continuing. Keep writing!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed this, it was fun although a few things tripped me up here and there. I have no plans to stop writing so hopefully with all this Cotillion stuff over I can get back to their origin story now. Thank you for the recommendation on the audiofic. I don't know if they'll choose it as I've had several others recorded, but I was really touched to see your lovely rec. Thanks again! ~Gina :)
Summary: Teddy Lupin is not a werewolf. Of that he is sure. And Metamorphmagi can only imitate human features. Of that he is also sure. So how is it one night, when the moon hangs round in the sky, young Teddy finds that he can morph his hand into a fur-covered claw?
Looking forward to some more!
Author's Response: It's coming! Slowly...but still, it is coming.
