Hi everybody! I'm 13, I play vollyball, and I just went on a student ambassador trip to England and Scotland! I was away from home for three weeks, and I saw tons of Harry Potter stuff. I was even there when the 6th book came out! Being there is what really inspired me to start writing.
My first fanfic, Of Dreams and Truths, is finally up!. It's a post-Hogwarts fic, so please read!
...and which lesser Harry Potter character are you?
Summary: Post Hogwarts: Ron and Harry are sent to America for Auror training. Ron spends his last night in England with Hermione, and after returning two years later, he finds Hermione with a fifteen-month-old baby ...
Wow. I can't believe that this story's finished. It was the one of the first stories I read when I joined MuggleNet, and is by far the best that I've ever read. Your writing's fantastic, your charactorization is fantastic, and there were many funny moments. The plot was fantastic, with twists, turns, and dips, making us cry and laugh all the time. Miranda was an amazing OC -- I hated her and loved her at the same time. I can't wait to see more from you -- and maybe one day a book in print, not online, too.
Summary: One-shot. My first fan fic, written post HBP.
As her two best friends prepare for their wedding day, Hermione remembers the happiest and saddest moments of her own life, including the fateful final battle where she lost her heart.
Wow almost 2000 reads! Thanks everyone, especially to those who have reviewed!
Wow, that was really good! I really liked it. One bit of constructive critisism though. At the very end Hermione seemed a bit, I don't know, cold. The story it self was great. I give you a 9/10!
Author's Response: thanks :) I think that's just her finally accepting it after years, and forcing herself to say goodbye one last time was hard. Thank you, much appreciated.
Summary: She could walk through the graveyard without blinking, bypassing the graves of fallen childhood friends. She could walk through the halls of Hogwarts without missing a step, tracing back a path to her first day as she rushed through the school. She could even make her way to the Forbidden Forest and trample through it, ignoring the splashes and stains that still marred the aged trees and wasted ground. But Hermione cannot make herself face the Great Lake, calm on this balmy summer day, where she had watched three people she had slowly grown to love fade from existence. Character Death within. Post-Hogwarts.
That was beautiful! You had a great idea, and you made it absolutly beautiful. I cried during it, and a hardly ever cry. I loved it!
Summary: FOR BETA FORUMS HISTORY/MYTHOLOGY QUARTERLY CONTEST. The war is over, and life goes on for Harry. But, as soon as his life begins to be normal, something very unexpected happens. Harry is rather disturbed, but will a meeting with someone a little...unusual help ease his mind? Featured character appears in second chapter!
quote from chapter one
Leaves were falling all around him, painting the dull streets with splashes of color. The few leaves that were still clinging to the trees were crimson and gold. The air was filled with the essence of change, and the dark night time sky was clouded.
PLEASE READ AND REVEIW. IF YOU DO, I'LL DO MY BEST TO FIND YOUR STORY, AND DO THE SAME FOR YOU!
That was so good! You captured Harry really well, and I loved how you had Ginny fighting with him, it was so in charater. Please update soon!
Author's Response: Thank you...I'll try.
Summary: It wasn't supposed to happen like this. She was supposed to stay safe, so that they might both live when it was all over. However, it all comes together in this one moment, a moment that means the difference between life and death, love and despair. One shot.
With this story, you have managed to creat the only fanfictoin romance that I have ever liked! Your story is absolutely amazing, and stayed away from the 'fairy tale happy ending'. Wonderful work, I hope to see more of your work soom!
Author's Response: Thank you : )
Summary: After everything that has happened to Harry Potter, after everything that he has gone through and endured, he has learned things about himself that he never knew before. At a time in his life when he needs it most, Harry finds a friend that truly understands him and shares some of his experiences and feelings. The world around Harry is shifting and he soon realizes that changes are occurring that he has no control over. Some changes are good while others will bring Harry further from happiness than he has ever been before. He will learn that his friends are the most important aspect of his life and nothing can change that.
It's really good! Sarah is one of the few original characters I've seen that isn't a Mary Sue. Great Job!
Author's Response: Thanks! I really wanted to make Sarah her own person. I think her personality overall, is a little cryptic. I don't think she's the kind of person that you would meet everyday. Thanks for the review!
Summary: In Harry's search for the Horcruxes, he finds conflict and solace in the power Lord Voldemort knows not. I expect it to be a rather long fic, but ultimately a good read. Diet-fluff. Please R&R.
Yay, it's finally up!! It's really good, and I can't wait for the other chapters!
Author's Response: It wouldn't've been as good without your help, thanks a bunch.
Summary: Severus Snape finds himself a resident of Azkaban for his deeds and misdeeds during Voldemort's reign. A broken man, he is struggling merely to stay alive when one of the guards takes an interest in him. This is an interest that could get her into serious trouble as she tries to save the life of a man who may not want to be saved.
And I must credit the wonderful Poultrygeist for the title and Anne for her sterling beta work! Thank 'ee. :-)
This is a very intereging story so far. I loved Kathrine's descriptions of Azkaban, they told you enough to give you the general look but still left some up to your imagination. Snape was also wonderfully written. Great Job!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I tried to keep Azkaban vague and just leave an impression of the place. And I'm glad you liked Snape. He's going to get more vocal as we move on.:-)
