Hi, I am 'TheLoonyHermione'.

I love to sing and play guitar. Some of my favorite bands/singers are: The Head and the Heart, Gotye, Taylor Swift, James Taylor, and The Beatles.
And, obviously, I like to write. Harry Potter fanfics are mostly what I write, but I have other stories and fanfics as well - I have one that I'm doing on my own about a boy who lost his best friend, his dog; 3 HP fanfics by myself and 3 with a friend; One Hunger Games Fanfic by myself, one with a friend; and one Warriors fanfic with a friend. I also enjoy writing plays that me and some friends 'star' in.
I'm American but can do a fairly good British accent (I wish I was British...waah) and once someone asked me and my friend which part of the UK we were from...haha!
My favorite books/series are: Harry Potter (duh), the Percy Jackson series (although I found the movie horrendous), and The Hunger Games (I am currently obsessed).
My top 3 favorite sports are: 1. Tennis!! 2. Swimming (if you count that as a sport) 3. Softball (I'm a pitcher :))
My top 3 favorite HP characters are: 1. Neville!!!! Extremely cute!!! Even cuter in the movies!!! 2. Hermione!! I have been told that I sound like her (while speaking in a British accent), that I have the same personality as her (I do, however, think that I am more loud and rule-breaking, and also not quite as obnoxious), and even once that I look like her (which I seriously doubt, and I seriously thought the person who said that was insane). 3. Uh....can't pick between these guys...Lupin, Tonks, Snape, Sirius, Dumbledore, and Luna. There may be more, but I can't think of them at the moment...
My BFFLE is Kreacher Feacher!! She's amazingly loony, and I think you should read her stories!!
Guess what? I also love reviews!

Summary: When a notice about flying lessons goes up in the Gryffindor common room, eleven-year-old Lily Evans is anything but excited. Can't these wizards understand only airplanes are meant to go so high in the air?

This was good! I think you described a Muggle-born's feelings at Hogwarts really well, good job!

Smart Girl, That Hermione* by Slvr_Otter_Solicitor

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • 9 Reviews
Summary:
This is a one-shot missing scene referenced in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The night before Harry, Hermione, and the Weasleys leave for the Quidditch World Cup, Ginny asks Hermione for some relationship advice. After some shouting and a few tears, Ginny learns a bit more about love, friendship, and, most importantly, herself.

*Title comes from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, page 647, U.S. edition.

Aww, so cute!! I love the friendship between Hermione and Ginny. I just wish there could have been more of that in the books.

Author's Response: I agree completely. It is very important to have good girlfriends, no matter where you are in life.

A Dreadful Year at Hogwarts by Longbottominess

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • 4 Reviews
Summary: Neville Longbottom is entering his seventh year at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry, hoping it will be one of the best years of his life. However, it was not meant to be. With Severus Snape as headmaster and Death Eaters teaching at the school, Neville must team up with Ginny Weasley and Luna Lovegood to save the school they have all come to love.

This was good and please write more! I LOVE NEVILLE! Sorry, that was a bit random but not completely off-topic.
Some feedback:
In this section: 'That night, during dinner, I sat with Ginny, Dean, and Seamus. They had heard about the "demonstration" that Carrow had done in our class; oddly enough, he didn't do it in any of the others.', I would have thought that Dean and Seamus would have been in the same class as Neville, because they are in the same year and the same house.

Justify by solemnlyswear_x

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • 3 Reviews
Summary: I can tell there’s a storm coming. The skies are turning grey, and the wind is starting to pick up. Lily Evans wonders what she can do about the war that is threatening to change everything she's ever known.

An entry to the Gryffindor 'A Banner for Thee' challenge.

This was really good! I think I'm going to read more of your stories now........ :D

Remembering the Freak by ritaskeetertobe

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • 7 Reviews
Summary: Petunia Dursley didn't think much about Lily. That is, until she found Lily's old diary in her attic...
Reviewer: Theloonyhermione Signed
Date: 07/06/12 Title: Chapter 1: Remembering the Freak

This was NOT terrible!! It was great!!! I know Petunia loves Lily.......deep......deep......down. And she's just embarrased to say it. So I like fanfics in Petunia's perspective, because they have the confusion of all of the different feelings for Lily - love, embarrasment, hatred..... And you did a great job expressing those feelings. Great writing!

The Missing Chapter by suswoman

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • 35 Reviews
Summary: I always felt there was a chapter missing from Deathly Hallows between the final chapter and the Epilogue. I needed a chance to wind down from all of the action, mourn the dead, and tie up some loose ends before being thrown 19 years into the future. This is my version of that missing chapter. Hope you enjoy it!

Date: 07/06/12 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

This was great! It fit in perfectly and this chapter or one similar to this would be perfect for that place in DH. Also I don't know if you were trying to do this or not, but your writing seemed sort of similar to J. K. Rowling's, which, in my opinion, is neccesary for missing moments like this. Great job!

Author's Response: Thanks so much for taking the time to review--I'm sorry it took me so long to see it and respond. Yes, I was indeed trying to mimic JKR's writing style and her versions of people's accents, etc. I'm so glad it worked for you! Thanks for the kudos, and have a great Thanksgiving.

I really liked this!! I liked Lily's reaction when James asked her if they could be friends, and her impression of Vernon. Great job!!

Living in Twilight by solemnlyswear_x

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • 6 Reviews
Summary: After battling the Death Eaters in the Department of Mysteries, Harry isn't the only one who struggles with the aftermath. Neville, too, has difficulties with what's happened, and finds himself talking to Luna for support. Set at the end of OotP.

This was really good! Even though this wasn't really romantic, I loved the Luna/Neville!! I'm sad they didn't marry, they would have been fantastic together in my opinion. Great job!

The Decision by mudbloodproud

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • 4 Reviews
Summary: As Tonks stands in the living room of her mother's house and watches Remus walk out the door to go to Hogwarts for the big battle, she must decide to stay with her son, or follow her husband.

This is the story of that heart-wrenching decision.

I do not own anything you recongise in this story. It all belongs to J.K. Rowling. I am just thankful to be allowed to play in her world for a little while.

A Proper Goodbye by coolh5000

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • 28 Reviews Past Featured Story
Summary: On Christmas Day of Teddy Lupin's seventh year at Hogwarts, his godfather gives him a present he will never forget - the chance to meet his parents.
Reviewer: Theloonyhermione Signed
Date: 07/06/12 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

This was amazing! One possible typo I found:
When Harry is talking to Teddy in the forest...."I know how easy it would be to become obsessed with the stone." I don't know exactly the tense you are speaking in, but judging on the rest of the sentence I would guess it should be 'knew' instead of 'know'. Once again, this was great and I am so glad to hear another Teddy story....I feel so bad for him D:

Letters From Hogwarts by mudbloodproud

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • 20 Reviews Past Featured Story
Summary: In Britain, there are two birthdays that are waited for with bated breath by witches and wizards alike. The first is turning eleven. This birthday brings an owl bearing a letter to Hogwarts.

For some, getting their letter does not go as planned. In this series, you will discover the day several witches and wizards received their letter and why it wasn’t just a normal day.

I wish to thank my beta, Alyssa (harry4lif).

I do not own anything your recognise in this story. It all belongs to J.K. Rowling. I am just thankful to be able to play in her world for a little while.

This was a great chapter! Some advice and feedback:
Instead of, '"Ginny, what is wrong?" Harry asked as he looked from.......' I suggest you use the word 'what's' instead of 'what is' because 'what is wrong' just sounds a bit too formal, if you get what I mean.
Great suspense when James got his letter, you really got me there.
One other thing; Ginny hardly ever cries, but I suppose you could make her cry in this part, it could be extreme enough. So I suppose it comes down to how extreme you think the situation is.
I loved Lily's reaction to Albus' trick, it had the exact reaction perfect for Lily; her mother's stubornness, and how she was worried. Great job!

Another good chapter!
I loved James' similarity and relationship with George! I also liked how Harry liked the prank.
The ending was funny, James really did the smart thing there!

The Way It Should Be by Ginnygirl3

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • 7 Reviews
Summary: Hermione had always known that there was something special about her, but she never considered just how different she might be . . .
Reviewer: Theloonyhermione Signed
Date: 07/06/12 Title: Chapter 1: The Way It Should Be

This was a good story! Hermione is my second-favorite character (after Neville) so I love to read stories about her (and write them). Only one mistake I found:
'She then abruptly turnded on her heal and left the kitchen.' This is the wrong spelling of 'heal' and it should be spelt 'heel'.

The Weasley Girl by xRavenclawxLovegoodx

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • 3 Reviews
Summary: Normally, a first year at a new school would include getting to meet new people, learning incredible and new things, and forming unlikely bonds with interesting people. It's too bad that Rose Weasley isn't a normal, ordinary girl, and her first year at Hogwarts will be everything but normal.

Good story!! I've always thought Luna's son's name was Lorcan, not Larcan. But maybe I was wrong.....IDK.....A bit similar to the Sorcerer's Stone at the beginning.

Sorry I meant the end, not the beginning, like the part with Hagrid and what he says.

That Awful Boy by TheBlackSister

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • 3 Reviews
Summary: The night the Dementors show up on Privet Drive, Harry is not the only one tortured by his thoughts. Mention of death.

Many thanks to WeirdoGoddess for her sperb beta work!

Date: 07/05/12 Title: Chapter 1: That Awful Boy

Good story, though I have one suggestion: Make the beginning of the story or the summary a bit clearer that the narrator is Petunia - I wasn't sure who was narrating until the third paragraph, where you mentioned Lily. Otherwise, good job!

Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing! I meant the beginning to be a little vague, though.

Ghosts of Christmases Past by rachelnotrach

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • 3 Reviews
Summary: Remus Lupin has been able to successfully shut the ghosts of his past out of his mind for the past twelve years. But Christmas brings back all the pain, confusion and happiness from memories that he has been avoiding.
Reviewer: Theloonyhermione Signed
Date: 09/22/12 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

This was very good, and I liked the way you captured Remus. He came across to me as a very loyal friend, and I think is right for him to just seem almost shocked that his own friend would betray him, that his own friend would do something this bad. I also like how you added Harry in, but this made me think about something; why didn't Remus ever visit Harry when he was a child? Maybe you could write a story about that, as you seem very good at capturing Remus. Great job again!

Constant Vigilance by floatingcloudbadger
