I'm a college student with an unhealthy obsession with anything Harry Potter. While I have been reading fanfiction for a few years, I am just beginning my journey as an author.
My favorite stories are Marauder-era and Dramione and my favorite character will forever be Sirius Black. I hope my stories will journey from my head to your hearts and that you will enjoy every second. Reviews are greatly appreciated. :)
Summary: In a world ruled by blood and money, James Potter has never once been denied anything he wanted, except Lily Evans. With neither blood status nor money, Lily can only rely on her vibrant personality to force others to see her worth. As their final year at Hogwarts ends and they are forced out of school, both find that the real world presents challenges that hadn't been expecting and problems they don't know how to overcome.
I love how well written the characters are and how every chapter leaves me eager for more and never bored. Keep up the great work and I'm eagerly anticipating the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks! So glad you're liking it so far. Next chapter is in the queue.
Love love love!!!!!! This story is so well written and so believable. I loved the way you wrote the characters and how they developed. It's been a long almost year since I began reading this story, but you never disappointed me once! I can't wait to see what else you write! Thanks so much for sticking with it. I have enjoyed every word. :)
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you liked the changes the characters underwent in the story. And don't worry, I always stick with my stories (even if it takes a really long time to finish them).
Summary: But saving a life? There was power in that. Power enough to redirect a meandering existence and change the course of a war.
I absolutely LOVE your work!!! The first time I saw this fic in the 'recents' list, I almost jumped out of my chair in excitement! "Aversion" and "Resilient" are my absolute favorite fics and I cannot wait to see where this one goes. Great work!!!
Author's Response: :D It's still hard for me to believe that I have fans - hahaha. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing; I'll try to update soon!
Summary: When you are carried away with your worries, fears, cravings, anger, and desire, you run away from yourself and you lose yourself. The practice is always to go back to oneself. - Thich Nhat Hanh
He has been running for as long as he can remember - then again, that isn't saying much.
Her job is to get him to stop - which is easier said than done. But it is him and her - it was never going to be easy.
Whew! That last bit left me really tense! Poor Draco, to wake up to such hatred is unimaginable and I hope for his sake that he remembers soon. Thanks again! Can't wait for the next chapter!
Author's Response: Haha, I'm glad that I provoked a reaction to the tension of that chapter! In my mind, if you had gone through that much in just a week, the range of emotions would be so extreme and you would get frustrated so easily, especially having to convince someone of something you don't even want to be true. I hope I conveyed that and that you enjoy the subsequent chapters! Thanks for the review :) ~ Alice
Wow! I really like the way that Hermione is written in this fic. She is very logical and not super emotional-a trait that a lot of authors forget. I can't wait to see what happens between her and Draco! Thanks for the long chapter and keep up the great work!
Author's Response: I'm glad you like my version of Hermione - characterisation is very important to me, so I'm glad you thought it was good. Yeah, I always think of Hermione as a very logical person who sometimes lets emotions get in the way, not the other way round. I hope you enjoy the latest chapter! Thanks for the review :) ~Alice
I love this fic so much! I hope that Robards get his wand out of his butt and treats Hermione better, because it seems as if she is the only one who cares enough. Can't wait to see some more dramione action!!!
Hope that everything is okay and that your year is going well. I'm really hoping that this story isn't abandoned and I look forward to the next chapter. Hope you're well!
The build-up is a bit slow, but it is only making me more excited for the rest! Great job again and I can't wait for more!!
Author's Response: Yeah, I know it can be a bit slow at times, but I wan't to make the pacing as realistic as possible for this pair. There will be a fair few moments between them in the next few chapters, however - some flirty banter etc. I hope you continue to enjoy it :) Thanks for you review ~ Alice
The Draco/Hermione scenes have so little dialogue, yet they are so interesting!!! Can't wait to see what happens next! Good luck on your house-hunting and dissertation!
Author's Response: I'm glad that you think they're still interesting despite the, at times, limited dialogue. However, there will be much more to come - I promise! Thanks for the well-wishing with the house hunting and the dissertation - the latter is going better than the former! Thanks so much for your review :) ~ Alice
*delighted shivers* Sooo good!! Things are really heating up between Hermione and Draco and I cannot wait to see what happens next! Thanks for the update!!
Author's Response: Haha, yeah, things are heating up a bit - the chapter after next will show more of that, but this next one (which is being beta'd) is more of a warm up, but a very very important one. Hope you enjoy the next instalment :) ~ Alice
Sooooo great!!! I can't wait to see what happens with this!
Oh, this looks like its gonna be great!
Summary: The Marauders have left school behind them just as war has fallen across the Wizarding World at last--quiet and invisible, but war nonetheless. And on the front lines is this small group of young Hogwarts graduates who have moved from pranking battles to something far more serious.
In this third and final installment to the James and Lily story begun in “Trickster” and “Stars Apart,” the Marauders join their friends in the Order as a part of what feels more and more like a fight they have no chance of winning. In the middle of it all, love grows and friendships break, trust forms and wavers, and warriors who are barely more than children must learn not only how to fight but what they are fighting for.
Yay! I'm so glad that you posted this story so quickly! This is a really great, though melancholy, start and I can't wait to read the rest! Great work!!!
Summary: And James was walking on air, floating through his own life. Everything was wonderful and spectacular and fantastic and Sirius was happy for him - really.
Wow. I'm quite speechless at the moment, sitting in front of my computer with tears in my eyes. Sirius has always been my favorite character and I have read countless Marauder stories that have helped me form a picture of a pre-Azkaban Sirius. But this one takes the cake. I've always felt that he got the worst end of the deal and this fic really captured the heartache I've imagined he went through. Amazing job and you have proven once again why you are my all-time favorite author. I bow to your brilliance. Bravo, bravo!!!
Author's Response: Thanks! I have a complicated love-hate relationship with Sirius (which makes him a lot of fun to write) but I do agree that he got a raw deal.
Summary: The Collier's Virus is highly contagious, magically virulent, and always fatal. Junior Healers Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger are called in to help find a cure before the virus claims another life. If they can.
First off, let me just say that I was beyond ecstatic when I saw you had a new story and extremely bummed that it was posted during the busiest two weeks of my life! (Ok, well, maybe just this semester, but whatever. :)) I was able to make time to read it yesterday and I am so glad that I did. Poor Draco!!!! I'm already hurting for him and we're only 3 chapters in! I'm already loving this fic and can't wait to read what's next!!! Keep up the great work!!!
Author's Response: Ah, finals week, right? I guess I do have rotten timing, haha. But I hope your semester ended well, anyway, and hopefully taking the time to read didn't impact you too much! :D I'm so glad you're enjoying the story so far. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!!
Whew! That was a heavy chapter! I had to go back and check the status of the story to make sure that this isn't the end. So much pain and heartbreak in this chapter! I loved the way that you wrote Draco and his feelings and reactions. Wonderful job and I can't wait to read the next chapter, which, I'm sure, will not include Draco's death. Because it can't. ;)
Author's Response: Nope, not done yet! There's one more chapter to wrap things up. Obviously can't give any hints as to what it does/does not include, but I'm hoping it goes over well. Thank you for reading!
Bravo!!!!! I swear, you keep me at the edge of my chair with every single story!! I loved the believability of this story. All of the medical stuff was easy to understand and yet complex and genuine. I'm so glad that you didn't kill Draco and I loved the way that you wrote both characters. Thanks for another masterpiece!!!
Author's Response: Excellent! I'm especially happy to hear that all the science and medical stuff came across. I wanted to make it technically correct but not overwhelming to anyone who hasn't had that sort of in-depth education or training. Thank you so much for reading!!
Summary: They found her body - broken, bleeding, face filled with signs of pain and fear, and the Death Eaters had clearly enjoyed what they were doing - amidst the rubble of a ruined book store.
During the first war against Voldemort, people fight and die and life for James and Lily goes on.
A tragedy in five parts.
It's taken me a while to get back to this story, but I am ever so glad that I did. SIRIUS!!!! I'm burdened for Sirius and the pain that I now realize he's going to suffer with Cynthia's death. But I'm so excited for a Sirius fic!!! Great work!!!
Oops! Guess I should pay more attention. :) Not a Sirius fic, but still one of the best I've read. I'm consistently blown away by your work and love every chapter I read. Thanks for all the hard work and wonderful stories!
Author's Response: Thanks for the two reviews, I'm glad you like the story! It's okay to think it is a Sirius fic! :) He does end up working his way into most of my stories.
I love this!!! The insight into each character, what they felt and thought through their different roles in the war, was brilliant. And so sad, because you could see the future and the events that would shape their lives hanging over them. You are a beautiful writer and I love your work. Thanks for another wonderful fic!
